Let me start off by saying that although we didn't end up getting our car through Central Sales, we had such a wonderful experience with them that I needed to write a review. My husband first spoke with Ray, who he felt he had an immediate connection with and easy, flowing communication about our vehicular needs. But Ray was going on vacay, and we couldn't wait until he got back to complete our car buying experience with him. Enter, Roy - Ray's bro. Roy was AWESOME. He took the time to REALLY answer my questions in a way that I could understand, and didn't try to push cars on me that were out of my price range. He was an excellent listener and ended up bringing out a car that day to our house for my hubby and me to test drive. Let me pause for a moment to say just how smart this business model is - I mean, with 2 kids under 4 years old, it's a PITA to get to a dealership and take turns test driving a car and then waiting around for hours to purchase the car while the kids go cray cray. Central Sales is part of Ron Tonkin (I think...), so they have a huge inventory of cars to pull from, which they bring to you to test drive, and then they arrange all the financing for you to find the lowest APR, and then bring the paperwork to you when they deliver the car. It takes about 10 minutes to sign everything. All for no extra fee. Brilliant. Other dealerships should take note. But what made everything so super was the truly no-pressure attitude of Roy (and I imagine everyone else he works with). He was super nice and completely understanding when I told him that we were also test-driving a car from another dealership later that day. He reiterated that he just wanted to make sure that we got into the right car for us. And I believed him! We ended up doing the whole take-the-kids-to-the-dealership-and-wait-an-excrutiatingly-long-time-to-purchase-a-vehicle thing. But only because the vehicle that was there was the one we wanted in the end. But we will DEFINITELY use Central Sales again when it's time to buy a car. Thanks Roy! read more

My daughter needed a car and I found one online at this place. We drove an hour and a half to check the car out. The salesman we had was super friendly. He found the car we were interested in and we took it for a test drive. It seemed to be perfect and decided to get it. Unfortunately, it took 3+ hours just to get through the paperwork. We negotiated the price, shook hands and signed on the X. Once he came back with the paperwork, he also came back with a mechanical disclosure. He proceeded to tell us all the problems with the car. The sway bars and bushings needed to be replaced. The water pump may have issues since thier mechanics noticed water spots around the water pump. What? We are spending over 16k for a car and NOW they disclose the problems? The salesman told us they just started doing things differently now. Well..that doesn't seem fair. We agreed on a price. I signed papers. We couldn't back out now. Rush hour was hitting and I wanted to get home ASAP. We ended up getting the car anyway and drove home. The car drove home fine. However, we have yet to fix the problems. Very disappointed with that process. read more

I can't recommend Tonkin2U enough! This process was incredibly easy and efficient. I was referred to this program by my bank and couldn't be more grateful - for someone who hates going to car dealerships and test driving out a bunch of cars, this process was a dream. This was my second experience buying a car, and it was way better than last time. I visited a couple of places before I came to Chris Muller, he was very friendly as well as honest, efficient and helpful. We passed their hours by the time we finished all paperworks and insurance (I had to call to get one...) but he didn't rush me anything and made sure I was comfortable to drive my car home. I highly recommend to visit there if you are planning to buy a car! Update after the purchase. The dealership service was fine but the maintenance service was not timely (didn't get back to me for setting appointments), then now I go to Beaverton Honda and they are great. read more

Buying a car with these guys was fantastic! I work the graveyard shift and had been trying to figure out when I was going to be able to get out to dealerships. Well, Tonkin Central Sales really stepped up their game and made things right with the car. They took my car into the shop and fixed the roof really well - now you can't even tell there were holes! They also fixed the windshield fluid reservoir and even surprised me by repainting the drivers door jam too! The car looks great, and they provided a very nice loaner car while they had mine also. I am happy to have my car back and in much better condition! After they returned my car to me, I had something puncture the sidewall of a tire also (completely not Tonkin's fault). As I found out, with AWD vehicles you can't just replace 1 tire...it has to be all 4 if you can't find the exact same brand tire with the exact same tread level. Ben at Central Sales worked to get me the same tire, but I missed his phone messages on a busy and trying day, so ended up replacing all 4 anyway (ouch). I do appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile to help me with that though! read more

Wowza! we got a car and never left home, they brought it over for a test drive, brought the paperwork over (on Sunday, no less) and it's a done deal. Lacey patiently showed us the features to control everything and Matt worked up the documents in no time, less than 2 days from start to finish and we never had to wait around drumming our fingers like the last time we got a car. This was an amazing experience. After a few frustrating days of trying to sell my car on Craigslist, I called Central Sales based on positive Yelp comments. Ray took my call, and he turned out to be just awesome. I told him what kind of car I wanted, and I also said that I wanted to get $15,000 for my trade-in, even though several other dealerships had only offered around $13000 (I was hoping for a miracle here). Lo and behold, in 15 minutes Ray called me back telling me that Ron Tonkin would give me $15,000 on my trade, and that he had two cars that would fit my needs. After I chose the best-sounding one, Ray DROVE IT OVER TO MY HOUSE for me to test-drive. Unbelievable. I loved the car, and Ray then came out the following day with all the Toyota, credit union and insurance paperwork filled out. We signed that stuff at my dining room table, and it all took about 15 minutes. Then Ray drove off with my trade, and left me with my new car. Total cost to me? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I have called Ray a couple of times over the past day or so and he was very helpful in everything. This is a long overdue review for Central Sales ...sorry for the novel, but there's so much good stuff to say. I purchased a 2013 Scion tC last summer. I absolutely, positively downright hate dealerships, and in particular, I don't care much for Ron Tonkin dealerships. Central Sales made me avoid dealing with them completely, and made my life SO much easier. FYI - They will actually drive a vehicle to a location of your choice - even your house, to test drive. You could potentially sign paperwork for your new vehicle on your dining room table, or like another review says...in your car! The communication with Stacey and Ray was excellent, and they were quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Before I even arrived with my trade-in vehicle, (and to test drive the Scion) they already had a trade-in price for me, in fact, it was beyond what I was even expecting. They do all of the haggling and negotiating for you, and that's what I loved. Financing options were available via email and well before I even came to test drive my car. Ray was hilarious and really works hard at what he does...I told him I wanted to be sure the back of the car was big enough to sleep in (seriously, we camp a lot and I was curious) so he put the seats down and laid down LOL. He also helped me clean out my trade-in car and put all of the stuff in the new car. They let me leave that night with the car and they felt absolutely terrible that I was leaving with a car that wasn't detailed inside and out. I didn't really care, I just wanted my new car! I drove it downtown the next day with the agreement that they would come pick it up from a parking lot that I left it in...and they would return it when done so I could come out and sign paperwork. Sure enough...at the end of my work day, I found my car..sparkling clean inside and out. They had picked it up and put it in the exact same spot! Going into my car buying process was daunting, to say the least. That is until I was connected with Central Sales. I HONESTLY can not say enough good things about their services and the way I was treated! I was very nervous about making a large purchase and had been warned by pretty much every person I know about the "dealership pressure" to expect, the long hours of negotiating and waiting for better deals. After a few phone calls with banks about the loans the deal was done. The very next day, she brought the car back to my house and I signed the check in my living room. No hours at the dealership, no haggling, no pressure. Just the best rate first and answers to any questions. I seriously dont know how this experience could have been easier! I am recommending Central Sales to EVERYONE I know who is interested in buying a car. I went to OnPoint first to secure the financing. While I was there, loan officer let me know about Tonkin 2 you. I found several cars on Tonkin website, each at different Tonkin locations (Beaverton, Gresham, Gladstone) and contacted Matt K who runs the show (I think). I had my top choice brought to my house which was super convenient beings I have 3 year old twins and going anywhere can be difficult let alone a car dealership. Kailee brought the car by, drove it, loved it, bought it. All paper work done in 15 minutes at my kitchen table. No pressure, no salesman trying to get you inside dealership to apply the tactics that many are so good at. Just 100% transparency which I greatly appreciated. Wow. These guys actually make shopping for a car fun and convenient without charging a premium. Neither my wife or I are car people. My wife was looking for an all-wheel drive car that would be fun to drive and function well with our kids. At the suggestion of a friend, we called Central Sales. A day after listening to my wife's criteria, a big guy named Ben showed up with an Acura MDX. My wife test drove it around the neighborhood. She liked the car, but felt it was a little small for our family of five and our dog. At my wife's request, Ben showed up the next day with an Audi Q7. It was a perfect match. We couldn't be happier. These people are shady and can't be trusted. I contacted them about a vehicle, and they informed me that there was a minor repair and detail needed, and asked me to wait until Wednesday (today). I agreed and scheduled a test drive. They contacted me Wednesday morning to tell me they had sold it Tuesday night. They don't keep their word, and shouldn't be trusted. Glad they won't be getting my money, but disappointed that they're able to be so shady. They're validating the stereotype of car sales, I suppose. Take your business elsewhere. read more

My friend in the car business told me about this service. Ray Ramirez helped me. I knew what car I wanted, but he offered to bring any other cars over to our house for us to test drive. He helped me get exactly the car I wanted. I bought the new Honda Fit. I wanted heated seats, but none of the other features in the package. He took my car to have heated seats installed, and they look and function as if factory installed, but it was $1000 less than the package would have cost. It took 15 minutes to complete the paperwork, at our dining room table. Ray couldn't have been more helpful. It was so easy. We were going to be out of town and didn't want the new car until we got back. Ray held our new car and postponed picking up my trade-in until it was convenient for us, day and time. I found Central Sales through Yelp, and am thrilled with the results. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Here's why. Within 3 days of my initial phone call: **I was contacted by Ben, whom I told the amount of my down payment and my cash flow restrictions and he worked the numbers and came up with the recommendation that I get a used vehicle with very low mileage. **Matt sent an email recommending 4 cars that met my preferences. I decided I'd like to test 2 of them. **He brought those 2 to my house for test driving. **I decided on one--a one-owner, certified 2011 Rav4 with 9,500 miles on it, a perfect CarFax report, a spotless maintenance history. It was clean inside and in excellent condition out. **The only thing it lacked was leather upholstery and seat heaters (leather because I have dogs, seat heaters because I love them). Matt figured out a way to build new after-market leather upholstery into the financing. **I got a decent price for my trade-in (Matt told me straight out that I could double my money by selling it myself, and I decided against that.) **The next day he brought all the paperwork to my house, explained it thoroughly, and, after signing, gave me the keys to my new/used Rav4 and drove away my old car. **Just today Matt came again, dropped off a loaner car and took my Rav4 get the new leather seats installed. **Plus, Ben's been checking in all along to make sure I was getting the quality service they like to provide. How much did all of that cost? $250 over dealer invoice. I consider that a bargain and I recommend Central Sales without reservation. It offers a brilliant business model, the backing of the entire Ron Tonkin organization, and knowledgeable, kind, efficient people, and a true win-win situation for everyone. I cannot believe dealerships haven't done this before. They brought MULTIPLE cars to my work for me to try. It was brilliant. The associates were so incredibly nice too. I think between my boyfriend and I we must have asked a thousand question and they were on all of them in no time. Not only did this process take the stress out of buying a car but made me feel so much more confident with making a big purchase. A big purchase such as a car should not be taken lightly and should not be one where the customer is the one who's having to put themselves out there. Central Sales provided an extraordinary buying experience for us. We worked with Ray and found him to be highly professional, punctual, and with no-pressure tactics (I see other reviews referencing a Roy and I don't know if that's a different employee, but Ray was superb). We kept changing out minds and were a little uncertain, but even when we asked to see the same car again (that we had previously rejected) he was very patient and understanding. Then, we even tested his patience further when we asked to take it to our own mechanic for an inspection before buying (we are paranoid). But Ray was perfectly accepting of that and even helped us get it there. That's what we all want when buying a car. I contacted them in January and spoke to a friendly chap who confirmed, as I had suspected, that the car I was interested in might be difficult to find (a new Jetta Sportwagen TDI with a manual transmission). However, after checking his sources, he informed me that he could get one around the end of February. As much as I deplore automatic transmissions, I replied, said the time frame was fine, and requested a delivery date and price for a manual transmission, but to also check to see how much sooner he could find one with an automatic in the color and trim specs I was interested in. Over a week passed without a reply from CS. I emailed the guy back wondering what was up. He apologized and said he would check again. No reply since. Nothing. They couldn't even give me a date and a price for the automatic or the manual. Sorry guys, that's a poor effort and you did not earn my business!! read more

Best car buying experience ever even though I was a tough customer! My credit union recommended I contact Central Sales and from the 1st phone call to getting my car keys I never felt pressured and actually felt very well taken care of. They helped me find an awesome car and even brought it to my job for a test drive. I decided to buy it and they delivered it to my house later where we signed all the paperwork. Unfortunately by the very next day I realized I'd made a horrible mistake. I'm a larger woman and despite adjusting the seat every which way I couldn't find a comfortable position. So I called them and immediately they said they didn't care what car I bought but the most important thing was that I was happy. So they emailed me a few alternatives and once again delivered the car to my job for a test drive. I was so relieved to find a car that worked for me and once again they did all the paperwork for me to swap out the vehicles! I cannot say enough great things about how well I was treated. They never made me feel bad and were even patient and kind. I love my new car and I highly recommend everyone I know use them to buy a car!!!!! read more
