Roast beef sandwich and tuna macaroni salad

I've ordered a few more times. Everything has been great. The online ordering makes it really easy. I can order, wait 5-10 minutes then leave my desk and walk the few blocks and the order is ready when I get there. Had a caesar salad with steak today and potato salad. Both were tasty. The caesar might have been enough for lunch by itself.

Always a pleasure to order lunch takeout or to sit inside and watch the main st train view. Pretty cool spot with great eats nice servers and management. A little pricey but we are downtown. Should have like a loyalty program for us downtown workers lol.... Oh btw the Wednesday tomato soup and grilled cheese is bomb order early or they run out!!

E Cafe is conveniently located near the Lafayette Train stop and opened for breakfast and lunch. As the name implies, there's free wifi and plenty of tables, most tables are for 2-4 people. Coffee is self serve and sugar, cream, and syrups are similar to what I'd see in a work cafeteria, not as fancy as options as Starbucks or Spot (like you won't find raw sugar or fancy creamers here). I got an iced coffee and the cashier instructed me to fill with my own ice and cream then give back to her. I thought this was strange at first as most places just leave room after they fill with coffee for you to add cream and sugar, however it does make more sense to do it this way. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with egg, cheese, and ham and it was pretty good. Both items came to $6. The restaurant was very clean at 8 am but pretty empty. The only thing I didn't care for was how strong the deep fried smell was, I wish it was better ventilated. However I wouldn't let this deter you from trying this place. The service was quick and food was served hot and tasted good. The cashier was nice too. Will definitely be stopping back here at least for breakfast, maybe lunch too one of these days.

Good food, great price. I ordered and English muffin (butter and jam), and the e-cafe slam (i chose maple hot cakes, bacon, and omlette with cheese) 3 nice slices of cripsy bacon. The omlette was good, the hot cakes were good but not great; I'd try french toast next time. But all told it cost approx 8 with tax.

Today I'm here for breakfast. Counter staff was pleasant and ordering was efficient. My order was served just before I was asked to move because they were bringing in a cooler. I ordered the Cafe Slam, which consisted of a mini omelette (a crepe style egg with cheese inside it), bacon (or sausage) and maple hot cakes (other choices were pancakes or French toast). The omelette was fine, the bacon was perfectly cooked, and the hot cakes were slightly over cooked. My experience was basic, but not bad. There are other places I'd be more likely to go.

I work downtown and I'm always in search for good lunch places to escape the office for a while. Especially anything along Main Street, as this area is in need of new businesses for the work crowd during the day. I've been here a few times and pretty much have enjoyed anything I've ordered, and the prices are reasonable as well. E-Cafe's strong points are the melts, free fountain soda Fridays, and free use of the PC's (Internet) set up along the side windows. Though, I wish they had free wi-fi....they are called E-cafe right? When the weather is nice they have tables and chairs set up along the Main/Mohawk courtyard. Ok, well back to lunch....The tuna and turkey melts are amazing! The sourdough melts are so big they need to cut it in three pieces, and come standard with tomatoes, choice of cheese, and dressing/topping....oh and pickles on the side. I've also had the Greek (Veggie) focaccia melt, which was very tasty but a little messy to eat....glad a fork and knife was provided. Had the chicken cordon bleu wrap, it was just Ok, a little dry and the lettuce ratio was high...next time maybe some salad dressing would put it over the top. The sub sandwiches and burgers look to be of good values based on the portions, and I'll have to try them on the next office escape.

You might want to change your hours. Website says 4pm your door says 3pm. Parking is also a hassle.

The minute we walked in-he was engaging and trying to fill our mouths with the delicious food that he prepares. This in itself is so special and satisfying. The shop is warm and inviting. It's simple, clean, and fresh. The meatballs were so delicious and flavorful, and the bread was fresh in the truest form of flavor. The salad was packed with so many different Italian combinations of garnish that it was a meal in itself! The rice balls were shared with a local bartender on the way home and they were a big hit! Again, the owner went above and beyond to fill our bags to the brim. The food was cooked from the freshest ingredients. He is also giving cooking lessons and will be implementing the "real Italian" pasta soon! Cannot recommend this establishment enough.

The consensus was a build-your-own culetto, which sounded right up my alley. The ordering process was easy, although there were a few differences between the restaurant's menu (found on Yelp/social media) and DoorDash (no wheat bread option and aged provolone was the only cheese available). One thing I appreciated: you could pile on multiple meats without an upcharge. Naturally, the dietitian side of me chose turkey. The food-lover side of me immediately regretted it. My work partner ordered the meatball version, and wow - those meatballs, the sauce, and that crusty bread were clearly the winning combination. The sandwiches were served in little soup cups to help hold what I can only describe as a "bread pocket." It was delightfully messy, involved a fair amount of crunching, and was absolutely worth it. The office also requested tiramisu, so I ordered a couple individual cups, along with a sfogliatella. If you've never had one, imagine the love child of a croissant and a pastry shell: dozens of delicate, flaky layers that shatter with every bite, surrounding a lightly sweet ricotta filling with hints of citrus and vanilla. It's crisp, creamy, buttery, and delicate. Overall, I'm grateful for this opportunity to something a little different. Next time, I'm skipping the sensible turkey and going straight for the meatballs.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.
