I have been visiting this restaurant for years, back when they first opened in Kennesaw and were…read morenamed Seoul Food. For a long time, they were my go-to when I was craving Korean food. They had a deal for $5 for 5 sides where you could get a whole trayful of tteokbokki and a good deal on their "Seoul bowl" which was a meat, 2 dumplings and a side. I understand that the economy has changed a lot in the recent years so they could not maintain their prices. However, I found that the quality of food was also declining while prices continued to rise. This last time I visited, I got the kimbap and bowl (pork bulgogi and japchae). This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. The kimball was falling apart, so much that it was difficult to eat. When you went to take a bite, all of the contents fell out. The bulgogi and dumplings were fine but the japchae was very bad. Like I said, I've been coming here for years and I have *never* seen the japchae look like this. It was dark and chewy like rubber. It was so bad that I couldn't even finish half of the side before I called it quits. I did reach out to the restaurant soon after and they were very apologetic and offered a refund. I am just disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants is changing so much. Additionally, they updated the menu recently and took off some items that I previously enjoyed (like the potato tornado). Most of all, I am disappointed in the tteokbokki deal. It is now $2.50 for 4 rice cakes (you can count them in the container). And I am also sad that the japchae wasn't good as this was my go-to place for Korean japchae cravings.

We were greeted immediately on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Our server was super nice and made sure we knew what we were doing. There are Plenty of meat options to choose from and the sides looked amazing! We opted for the Steak and Bulgogi as our first 2 meat choices with salad and rice cakes, kimchi, white rice, glass noodles, and various pickled items that came with it. This was all you can eat so don't worry if the portions look small at first. The two steak options were incredible! I love the open flames that is different from our regular spot. Amazing flavors!! Great char on the meat. The salad dressing and other pickled sides were incredible together. We only tried one other meat which was the lemon pepper chicken. This was my favorite!! We also had Bulgogi in both hot plate and hot pot styles (since I'd never tried the latter). Both were nicely and identically flavored, with the hot pot in a sweeter broth with glass noodles. The banchan had excellent variety and the meal portions were good and we took home leftovers. Service was attentive and drink refills were prompt. Seating was comfortable and they did ask us to move to a different table after being seated. This was as a kindness since the adjacent table was a BBQ table and being fired up for a party and they didn't want us to suffer from the initial smoke.

While there were many sauces, they didn't have basics like gochujang or samjang. Our server, Maya said she's not allowed to get them from the kitchen. One thing that was TerrIBle was their slippery floor (from bbq). This is similar to the OG Iron Age Duluth a decade ago. Other Kbbqs like 9292 and 678 which have been around much longer than Kpop, don't have hazardous floors! The price is $33/person for bbq only but the quality, service and choices have tanked.
