I have been visiting this restaurant for years, back when they first opened in Kennesaw and were named Seoul Food. For a long time, they were my go-to when I was craving Korean food. They had a deal for $5 for 5 sides where you could get a whole trayful of tteokbokki and a good deal on their "Seoul bowl" which was a meat, 2 dumplings and a side. I understand that the economy has changed a lot in the recent years so they could not maintain their prices. However, I found that the quality of food was also declining while prices continued to rise. This last time I visited, I got the kimbap and bowl (pork bulgogi and japchae). This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. The kimball was falling apart, so much that it was difficult to eat. When you went to take a bite, all of the contents fell out. The bulgogi and dumplings were fine but the japchae was very bad. Like I said, I've been coming here for years and I have *never* seen the japchae look like this. It was dark and chewy like rubber. It was so bad that I couldn't even finish half of the side before I called it quits. I did reach out to the restaurant soon after and they were very apologetic and offered a refund. I am just disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants is changing so much. Additionally, they updated the menu recently and took off some items that I previously enjoyed (like the potato tornado). Most of all, I am disappointed in the tteokbokki deal. It is now $2.50 for 4 rice cakes (you can count them in the container). And I am also sad that the japchae wasn't good as this was my go-to place for Korean japchae cravings. read more

Cute little spot with counter service. They have great Bimbimbap bowls. I also love that they offer japchae (sweet potato glass noodles), no so happy that the toppings are cold. My broccoli was fridge cold, which is common in this establishments. They also have Gimbap, which I used to joke around are korean sushi rolls. The quality of the meat is decent, though not always as tender or flavorful as you'd expect from a traditional Korean BBQ spot. Some of the marinades are good, but others feel a bit bland or lacking in depth. The side dishes (banchan) are a nice touch, but they can be hit-or-miss in terms of freshness and flavor. I was really excited when I saw KPOP-To Go take over Seoul Food restaurant. KPOP Also has a few Korean bbq sit down joints. Unfortunately, I was kind of met with some disappointment. I was hoping the flavors would be better than its predecessor Seoul Food. I never really liked Seoul Food restaurant, but this is basically the same concept. You pick your base which is Japchae, Fried rice, rice or french fries. Then pick your protien. Each banchan like kimchi, radish, etc is an extra charge. They have other things too, but thats the main concept. Most foods is precooked like mall food court style. Knowing that this restaurant has a parent store that sells Korean barbecue, made me really disappointed because almost everything just tasted sweet. The bulgogi meat, Japchae & even chicken dumplings were sweet. Thankfully I ordered the Spicy Bulgolgi Kimbap, because the spice cut down on the sweetness. I highly recommend getting spicy bulgolgi. The kpop Philly was ok, you can choose which proteins you want to put on it and you can get fries or fried rice. The Seoul Twisted potato was gross. It was so greasy, the batter was too thick. I didn't even taste the potato. Overall If I wanted korean food I'd go to their sit down kpop bbq. The quality of food is better in my opinion. This is good for if you want something quick. The service is decent, a lot faster than Seoul Food restaurant. So thats a plus. read more

All of my food tasted poorly. How can you mess up Kimchi? My spicy rice cakes were salty & vinegary. The carrots, mushrooms, and cucumbers were bad also. I felt like no one cared how it tasted. This place was a great find in Kennesaw! I got the bulgogi fries & a corn dog to go and both were good. This place is a great addition to Kennesaw and I'm excited to see more Asian stores popping up here so I don't have to go out to Duluth as often. They have a small menu but seemed to have a good crowd coming in and out + takeout customers. It took about 15 mins for my food to be ready once I ordered so everything was freshly made. I was curious about the food here and I was not disappointed. Every Thing was great. Plus it seems way healthy than a burger except the spiral potatoes that was a treat. I've been here a couple times now. I usually like to try a couple of things and do a few visits before a review. Their menu can be confusing if you don't go often. Drink options are limited and no free water. They have a free parking lot. Order at counter and seat yourself. Their black dining chairs are very narrow, uncomfortable. Drive thru is also an option. I have had their Heart & Seoul Bibimbap, Seoul Bowl Pick1 Base al Protein *Includes 2 Chicken Dumplings (when I really should have ordered the Seoul Veggie Bowl instead, just shows their customer service just isn't up to par), and the Soulful Korean Potato Hot Dog. Heart & Seoul Bibimbap: no flavor, cold egg (honestly everything was cold except the tofu, they were room temperature). Kimchi was okay. Did not like it. Seoul Bowl: I did not know there was a similar vegetarian option that is so much cheaper. Noodles were just salty and cold, vegetables just steamed but served cold and did not have flavor. Tofu was cold and not crispy. Bland food, missing a nice kick of spice. Will not order again. Soulful Korean Potato Hot Dog: thought I'd give something new a try, big mistake.Tbh I never tried a Korean hotdog before. This one had potatoes on the outside and cheese on the inside. Fire! Fire! Fire! Think of this as Korean fast food. The food is much better than normal fast food, but equally as affordable. The menu seems a little confusing but it's pretty simple actually. For the bowl, just choose your carb (base) and your meat and add on sides for extra. You can also order the street food options or other combo-type options. We got a bowl with Bulgogi and chose the radish, kimchi, dumplings and rice cakes as our sides. The spicy rice cakes are a MUST! They were delicious. Kimchi and radish also good, but the spicy rice cakes were the favorite. We also prefer the noodles over rice, but thats a preference thing. The Bulgogi fries are another amazing option. Yelp gave me a list of nearby restaurants with vegan options based in Earth Day. Decided to go with this spot! Seoul Veggie Bowl - comes with a base (white rice, fried rice or japchae) and 3 vegetables. My options were fried rice with mushrooms, bean sprouts and broccoli. The rice had pretty good flavor and so did the mushrooms. Bean sprout are just that. The broccoli (the literal 5 pieces that I received) was steams and lacked any flavor whatsoever. Other than soy sauce, no other vegan friendly sauces available to tie it together. Would have loved to have a noodle option but the japchae has some type of seafood in it. Also added a side of fried tofu. This was a great addition. Taste was on point; had a sweetness combined with a little bit of spiciness. Nice crispiness. At the price point of $5 you don't really get much bang for your buck. Can't say that I was impressed by any means with the vegan options available but I suppose it happens. read more

How fun that this place has a drive thru, though when I went, it was Friday night around 8 pm hoping that I'd miss the dinner rush. I still waited in line for about 20-30 mins before I was able to place my order. I really wanted to get a Seoul bowl with japchae but they're out of japchae at the moment so I opted for the bowl with plain fried rice and fried tofu. They don't have the 1/2 base options anymore, by the way! I also got the bibimbap with spicy beef bulgogi and 3 sides of spicy rice cake, broccoli and radish salad. It is a fast casual restaurant so you do have to wait some more for the staff to prep your food. The staff taking order was very nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend to place your order online (I think it's through Grubhub) so you don't wait forever to get food like I did. My bowl was decent and got instantly sad when they didn't include dumplings. Since I got fried tofu, I highly recommend enjoying this with the side of radish salad for some sauce. Luckily, I ordered to go so I was able to heat it up. The broccoli was plain, but the mushrooms and tofu were seasoned well. Wonderful spot for Korean food without having to commit the time it would take for Kpop or Iron Age! Certainly not saying anything against those two, just complementing the speed from Seoul Food. The food here is fresh and seasoned well! For these reasons, I come by at least once a week! They do have a 4 sides for $4 so you can sample out and see if it's something you may enjoy. I usually double down on the dumplings and rice cakes because they are both so crispy and delicious. I love that they have some delicious Korean snacks that I would otherwise have to go to Doraville/Buford Highway Farmers Market for. I've been here twice for lunch and will definitely keep coming back to keep trying their other items. I first tried the Bibimbop and Kimchi fritter. The bibimbop was traditional in its preparation, delicious in its taste, and reminded me of home. The kimchi fritter was something I've never tried and I'm glad I did. I can only best explain it as mashed up rice and kimchi in the shape of a large McDonald's hashbrown, but WAY better than any McD's hashbrown. The flavor of the kimchi real came through and the crunch was satisfying. On my second visit, I tried the Seoul Burger with fries and the Bulgogi fritter. The Seoul Burger was two patties, cheese, and Asian slaw on a toasted bun. It was seasoned to perfection and an absolutely pleasure to inhale. The fries that came with the burger were thin cut fries, but the seasoning they put on them was out of this world. It couldn't have been just salt. The Bulgogi fritter is now my preferred fritter. The kimchi fritter is great, but I just like the sweet meat flavor better. I will continue to have Seoul Food in my lunch rotation. read more

The cashier was patient as we worked thru the menu which was a much more scaled down one than was posted online. Not as many options, not sure if they had a different print menu that had better options. We had planned to sit down and eat but this place is really for takeout, the few tables are right next to the order line and not at all inviting. I got the noodles and tofu with a side of kimchi. I was expecting glass noodles, but they were more like spiced spaghetti noodles. Tofu was ok, the kimchi was pretty good. The wife had the heart and soul bibimbap with tofu. The menu didnt have pictures so if someone didnt check out Yelp like we did before they may not really know what to expect. The Heart and Seoul OMG was amazing. I have no other words to describe it. If you like bumbimbop and okay with it not being in the tradditional stone bowl....get it! You will not be disappointed. Great place for quick service Korean food. I was in the area running errands and found Seoul Food on Yelp. Yes, it's kind of like a Korean Chipotle but the food quality and taste was very good for a fast casual place. We ordered the Beef Bulgogi bowl, Pork Bulgogi bowl, chicken dumplings and sweet and spicy rice cakes. Both bowls were tasty but I preferred the Pork Bulgogi bowl. I could see a fair amount of oil/grease at the bottom of the bowl but I'd prefer to think of it as juices from the meat. The sides were good and I like that they're reasonably priced...4 sides for $5. If I lived closer to Kennesaw, I'd eat here regularly. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE We arrived a little before 10PM and all we ordered was a smash burger with fries. We waited for over 45 minutes before we asked someone where our burger was. The girl (possibly manager) called us over to tell us that our ticket never made it to the kitchen. She wasn't apologetic and didn't even care about the mishap. She offered to give us a refund since we waited so long and said they could still make the burger if we wanted it. We asked if they were able to make it fast and she hesitated to say yes. We said if they could make it fast then we'll wait, but after another 20 minutes of waiting we left without any food. We left at 11PM, we waited for over an hour and they still couldn't get it together to make a burger and fries. Overall the customer service was terrible. The employees were running around like they didn't know what was going on and they had only one person in the kitchen. The only person who seemed like they cared was the young guy with curly hair. Also we weren't the only ones - there was another couple waiting as long as us for their food and they told us their ticket never made it back to the kitchen either. read more
