A few things to note: 1. If you want a table with kBBQ grill, ASK for it, but plan for all of not most of your party to order kBBQ. 2. The service isn't bad, it's just different. 3. They give great banchan (Korean side dishes) and will refill as you ask. 4. If you want kBBQ, do not order just one dish. Order at least 2 or they'll get annoyed with you. Instead you can order most of the stuff on the kBBQ menu but already cooked. If you do that, the meat comes with lettuce leaves and a few sauces (one peanuty sauce and another sort of sweet chile sauce), which you can wrap the meat in. Most of the negative reviews about this place are because of the service, and I think it's mostly because Americans aren't used to service from other cultures. There are certain expectations for how much to order/eat, and an understanding that waiters are here to feed you and that's it, in places like Korea, that aren't as common in America. The waiters were never rude, they were just to the point, unsmiling, serious, and of few words. We did hear from our waitress that some of the owners can be stingy, but she happily refilled drinks, banchan, and gave us extra kimchi to take home. Here's what I tried: -Bulgogi: 7/10 - It was good, just not the most flavorful. I've had better bulgogi, and it also wasn't piping hot. I also think the marinade could've been better, but it was bulgogi, it was good, and there was quite a bit of it. -kBBQ (precooked) Galbi: 9/10 - I adored their Galbi. It was hot, the special sauce on it was sweet, salty, and umami, and the meat itself was tender, well cooked, and had a bit of a chew to it. The meaty flavor really shined, and paired with the lettuce leaves, rice, and sauces, it was absolutely divine.

What you need to know: 1. If you want Ginseng Chicken Soup, you must order it two hours in advance. 2. If you want the full BBQ experience, get a grill table, but if you do that, you have to order as many meat entrees as there are people in your party ($25-$27 each). 3. You may get a tiny lecture if you start eating the sides before your meat is ready. 4. Service is good. 5. Bulgogi dishes are delicious, duck is good.

Bought one of everything on the menu.. you know when you try a new place and you want to try everything. Yeah, i did that as a single dine in eater. Lots of food. Everything was good no complaints. Least favorite item the pot stickers (Mandu). Had plenty for lunch the next day after eating heavily. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is good. Convenient location off 75.

i've been going to Tofu Village for years. their soondubu (spicy tofu soup) is amazing, one of the best in metro atlanta. japchae is another winner here. they have this great charcoal kbbq set, which brings an authentic "seoul" ambiance. the ladies are very nice and always willing to refill our banchans. the restaurant has ample seating, tables always clean, and a variety of customers dining in around the clock.

I haven't had Korean in too long so my husband found this place for us to go on a date night. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and offers k-dramas on some of the TVs to watch. The food is very well flavored, fresh, and delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent Korean restaurant!

Came to Tofu Village for the lunch portion of the Kimchi Jjigae ($11.99) and was a little bit disappointed. Something was a little off about the stew. Yes this is a subject comment, but it just didn't hit the spot. And on top of that they charge way to much for extra cup of rice. Sure miss the kimchi in Koreatown Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It sucks having to give this place a 1 star after all of this time because the food is good, but I can't deal with the poor customer service anymore. I just came to pick up my order not too long ago. When I arrived and gave my name, they stated that they accidentally gave my order to someone else that had the same first name as my last name. I understand mistakes happen so it sucked but I was completely understanding. They were going to quickly remake mine when the customer that accidentally took my order came back since he realized the mistake. They immediately tried to give this order back to me, but I expressed my concern about it being unsanitary since it was most likely opened already by the customer and not sure what else. The hostess proceeded to argue with me to try to convince me to just take the order when one of the staff came by and stated that they'll just remake it. I waited about 10 minutes and they gave me my order. I fully believe that they just waited that same period of time until they handed me the same order they accidentally gave away because the jjajjangmeyon I ordered was completely lukewarm at this point. I previously had a bad experience when I picked up an ordered a few weeks ago as well and just thought it was an off night so I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. However, this one takes the cake. I don't intend on coming back even though I love the food there, but I seriously question their practice and service skills. Absolutely disappointing after all of the years I've been here.

We ended up here because our normal Korean spot was too busy and we were hungry We'd been wanting to try it after seeing soupbelly post about it on Instagram! Definitely worth the trip. The servers were all so nice & checked on us regularly. The food was good and most of the plates were big enough to share. I had the kimchi soon Doo boo and my husband had chicken ka su Chicken was sooo crispy and sauce was thick & tasty. Really good with the little sliced cabbage I didn't get a pic of the banchan but lemme say those potatoes are lit and the fish cakes were so good! The soon Doo boo had plenty of beef, tofu & even an egg. It was flavorful and I got medium but I'll definitely take it to hot next time. Wasn't sure what their idea of spice was. They also have kbbq that isnt all you can eat but it smelled good! There's plenty of parking & seating. The place is huge inside

Yes, but they're in the next unit of the storefront, so they're not as obvious from the restaurant lobby. Ask at the host counter and they'll set you up. We always have a great time!

Upon entering the establishment, the restaurant was not overcrowded, and weather conditions outside were extremely hot, approximately 89 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. After waiting for the customer ahead of me to be served, I placed a take-out order consisting of one brisket sandwich and one order of hush puppies. Following completion of my order, I observed available seating located directly adjacent to the designated take-out area near the restaurant bar. Before occupying the seating, I asked the front counter Attendant, who processed my order, whether the seating area was available for me to use while waiting for my order. He expressly informed me that the seating was available and I could wait there. I then approached the seating area where one elderly male patron was seated. I politely greeted him and asked whether surrounding seats were occupied by anyone else. He informed me that the seats were available. Shortly after sitting down, I was approached by a female employee, "Caucasian", approximately middle-aged, who asked whether I intended to order alcoholic beverages. I respectfully declined and informed her that I had recently placed a take-out order with the front counter associate and step aside to wait for my food. I further stated that I would not be consuming alcohol because I needed to drive home safely, but I would accept a glass of water. Immediately after hearing my response, the employee informed me "if you're not ordering an alcoholic beverage, you can't sit at the bar" I reiterated that I was already a paying customer waiting on an active order. Despite this explanation, I was again informed that unless I purchased an alcoholic beverage, I could not sit there. I then stood up, collected my belongings, and relocated myself to wait for my items. This interaction caused me to feel very uncomfortable, unwelcome, and singled out as a paying customer. I was left with highs concerns that I may have been treated very indifferent from those of my peers and other patrons present in the establishment. I am documenting this event because I believe the circumstances warrant review regarding whether unequal treatment or slight discriminatory conduct occurred.
