My wife and I eat here at least once a month! We come here for the service although we found out tonight some of our favorite servers left. Tonight the portions were massive! I think we had a new server who did great! The thing about this place is everyone seems to pitch in at each table to make sure everything runs smoothly. We almost always get the beef bulgogi and the spicy chicken, but there are MANY meat options that we can't usually get to. You can absolutely throw down and get the meat sweats if you are into that. The sides that come with it are to your choosing. Plenty of choices. We love the rice cakes as an app. and, pro tip, order extra mushrooms and seasoning and cook them with the beef. It's delicious! The place is very modern and there are KPop stars/ music streaming on the TVs. I've seen large parties so don't hesitate. There is a full bar with drink specials throughout the week. We have been to many Korean BBQ restaurants, but this was our first time coming to Kpop, but it won't be our last. I dont remember our server giving us her name, but she was attentive enough and ensured that we had what we needed. We stopped by on a week day, during lunch. There are meat options that aren't available during lunch, that are available during dinner. So of course, lunch is a little cheaper. When we went, it wasnt super busy, but I think we came towards the end of lunch. We tried probably 7 different items, with beef bulgogi being one that we got 3 different times. LOL I think I prefer Kpop over Iron Age. The only thing I will say is that I didn't love their kimchi. But everything else was great! There's plenty of parking since the restaurant sits in a busy retail area. We will definitely be back for dinner! read more

I love kbbq, but this place did not meet my expectations. I usually enjoy little interaction with the server and cooking the food myself, but this felt like I was assisting the server in cooking the food. I also don't enjoy how the meat is pre seasoned/oiled, so I'm not aware of what ingredients I'm putting into my body as it's not clear what was used to prepare each dish. We pay the premium price for the most food options - which is more than ALL other kbbq places in Kennesaw/Dallas, while providing much less options than them.. but there's STILL a small upcharge for certain other dishes? ... And why is there only like 4 different vegetable options? This was a one and done experience for my buddy and I. I am truly shocked at the amount of 5 star reviews. A birthday lunch has me raving about K-pop in Woodstock. I had a fabulous time dinning here today and eating the delicious food. The appetizers were simple and flavorful. Great place. Lots of parking and good bathrooms. They sat us down right away on a Friday night. Amazing food and incredible wait staff. Super helpful, they came and brought us an allergy friendly menu to make sure I got the right options, and knew all my options. All the marinades are gf which is amazing! The bulgogi was my favorite. My twin loves KPOP music and the whole place has KPOP music videos going and even has a steak labeled "KPOP steak" which was her favorite of course. You get all the sides. The pricing is all inclusive so you get however many sides, meats etc, you can eat. I believe they have other options but the bbq is the best part so I'd suggest that. My daughter insists on eating here every time she comes into Woodstock to visit. We always have a great time and eat too much. Its not a super fast meal which gives you time to enjoy your company. Very good selection of meat choices but I love the ribeye, beef bulgogi, short ribs and pork belly. Sides are good but for me the meat is the star and the reason I go to Kpop. A 'memory' that popped up on Facebook prompted us to go to Kpop for Korean BBQ. We hadn't been there in a year, and the reviews I read were concerning. Has the restaurant gone downhill? No! If you liked Kpop before, you'll like it now. The price has gone up insignificantly and the staff is different, primarily college kids who took pretty good care of us. The lunch pre-fixe is $20. Granted, some items on the dinner menu -- primarily seafood -- are not available mid-day. But who cares? It's quieter, cheaper and you can sit as long as you'd like. There's a time limit at dinner; I believe 90 minutes, which is fair if people are waiting. Be hungry! You'll start with an array of salads and dips. I particularly like their pickled radishes. Then choose appetizers. From experience, I avoided the egg souffle and dumplings. This time we went with rice cakes (which will be added to my "do not order" list. Sort of gelatinous and gummy), Korean fried chicken (yum!) and tofu (which wasn't as good as I remembered.) Look at my photo of the grill. Pork belly, which I don't like, is very fatty. My husband ate it, claimed he liked it, but added that he wouldn't get it again. My favorite is beef bulgogi. I was originally going to get teriyaki chicken -- they'll bring out two meats at a time -- but why be a glutton? I was full. If you vacillate about trying Kpop, I say 'give it a go!' It was such a cool experience here. The atmosphere is very fun but not a party atmosphere. It just seems like a cool hangout spot for food. The food itself is great too. So many times in any all you can eat places, even Korean BBQ, they tend to go cheap on the food. I don't know if they go cheap or not on the food here but they make it delicious. The kimchi was some of the best I've had. My date loved the broccoli. All the meat we tried too were excellent cuts. The bulgogi was perhaps the best we had too. The staff was amazing here. KPOP is a very cool open atmosphere restaurant/bar. I love the decor and upbeat vibe you get upon entering. Lots of customers talking and laughing. The servers scurrying around waiting on the tables. Music video's playing on the big screen and the wonderful aromas coming from all the cooking pits/grill from each of the tables. It was my first time there, so it took me a few minutes to get up to speed on the menu and ordering process. Lol. But no worries our server was amazing and gladly helped me through it. Some of the highlights for the sides were the green onion salad with a spicy chili paste, the side salad with a delicious ginger dressing and the pasta salad for those not wanting the spicy. Nobody at our table was a kimchi fan so I got it all to myself and even ordered a second helping. So other tasty sides were the chicken dumplings (amazing) and the corn cheese, very good. The main course (meats) were just fantastic. Did I mention, it's all you can eat? Lol. They keep bringing the raw meat out to your table a plate at a time until you can't move anymore! Lol. So our group tried 4 different meats. Teriyaki chicken - Delicious Hawaiian Pork Belly - Good fat and so tasty Galbi Steak - Excellent Beef Bulgogi - Absolutely amazing! Finally got to try this Korean bbq and was not disappointed! Their meat selection was plentiful as well as flavorful with many "banchan" (sides). Of which the cheesy corn is a request side but is offered free. Kimchi was fresh and tasty. I'll let the pictures speak on how good it is to eat unlimited amounts of meat! Need I say more? Staff is friendly and fast in their service. As the saying goes, "ask and you shall receive!" There's no red/green coaster to flip here! It's all you can eat! The four of us have eaten here 4-6 times per year since it opened. We normally have good to great food but the last two visits- 5/4 and 9/7 the beef was not at all tender. The last time I didn't post because anyplace can have an off night but for $200 for four people it should have been excellent quality. Instead we again got tough chewy beef. I complained and the server said he would try to find a better cut be he never did. I can't imagine that it would qualify for even a choice quality cut. For $50 per person you must provide quality beef. The chicken and ramen weee good but the beef was so tough a cat couldn't chew it. read more

We went on a Saturday around 8pm, wait was a little over an hour in November 2021 They have tons to choose from including brisket, marinated meats, pork belly, chicken, cubed steak and some seafood options at dinner The server we had was great. We also tried some strawberry soju, sweet but still strong. Like a shot of vodka. We didn't even make it through half the meats on the AYCE menu and we tried a couple apps like rice cakes (ddebokki.. I know I spelled it wrong), tofu (so good!) They give you plenty of sides to pick from, as well. There are lots of apps like the above + fried chicken and more. We visited Kpop on a Friday night. Although there wasn't a lot of people when we arrived, people booked the place out for reservations! So if you're interested, call ahead! We had a short wait and started with the freebies that were already at the table, (pictured). It's all you can eat, which is cool. You have apps and a selection of different meats. We ordered the chicken dumplings, ramen and korean spicy fried chicken. As well as an assortment of different meats. Then hawaiian pork belly and another beef was really good (sorry I don't remember which one). The food wasn't bad, to begin with but things got a bit annoying and idk if the kids waitressing know a thing about proper cooking! Other Korean bbq places we've dined at, bring your meat & WE cook our own food. We always set aside tongs for raw meat and another to grab the cooked meat & they also provide scissors to cut your meat. So this is the angle we were going in with here as well, the waitresses would come by your grill AFTER LEAVING ANOTHER TABLE and just start flipping your meat. They would use the raw meat tongs and stick them back in the container with the clean utensils. Not even asking, just take it upon themselves. We like our beef a certain way and the only way I could get them to STOP doin this was to grab the utensils before they did smh. They were not aware of raw meat utensils cross contaminating, AT ALL. they also used a cloth or little wet wipe of some sort to clean your grill, which I didn't realize til the end of dinner, that they ALSO stuck in our utensil canister smh. Our appetizers didn't come out until we were done with our main course and also asking for them more than 4x's. The ramen broth had clumps of seasoning in it as if it was made in a rush. The spicy fried chicken was lack luster chick fil a nuggets, with a Sriracha type sauce drizzled on top, the dumplings were ok, but lacked flavor. We left full, but I did wonder about the food waste here. Unfortunately, that night and following day, my Fiancé and I had terrible stomach aches. This place is well outside of the typical Duluth area Korean BBQ spots. It is inside the Woodstock area but after reading all the wonderful reviews, I definitely had to drive 38 miles to try it out! The shopping plaza is big and there were plenty of parking spaces especially with people that love their cars, you can definitely park far away so you don't get any dents! Apparently this place takes reservations via Yelp and unfortunately I did not make a reservation because I was unsure what time I would get here since I was coming from far away. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a nice crowd inside on an early Sunday afternoon. I was told by the employee that it would be a 35-45 min wait for us to be seated. I didn't care as I just drove almost 1 hour here and wasn't about to leave. Lol I looked around and saw maybe 4-5 empty booths and table area. A few people that arrived after us were seated right away into those empty seats. I assumed those empty booths were for the people that made reservations online. One thing I would like to see them change is to the first come first serve seating policy unless it's a huge party. The reason on that is so you don't have a ton of people in the waiting area while there are empty tables because the people that made reservations were late. The dining area was definitely pretty small for what I was used to in a Korean BBQ spot. So be warned, you could be in for a long wait during popular hours if you don't get a reservation. The longest I saw they could hold a reservation for was 15-30 minute ETA arrival and I there is no way I can make the drive in 30 min. I guess I could of stopped my car in the side of the road to make the reservation when I was 30 min away but I didn't want the hassle. The staff here were all wearing masks and gloves. There was an automated self check temperature at the front door. It appeared that all the customers that came inside had their masks on which I liked. The booths had tall plastic barriers which made me feel alittle at ease. This is way better than all the restaurants in FL. Anyways, I was finally seated in one of their smaller tables as we only had a party of 2. I always like to have a large table for Korean BBQ as there is always a lot side dishes, salad, meats, sauces, and etc on the table. This spot is an AYCE Korean BBQ spot with more side dishes than your typical Korean BBQ joint. Some of the highlights of the numerous side dishes were: Cheese corn(not so good), Steam Egg (good), and Korean Fried Chicken (spicy or mild sauce) (pretty good). The salads here weren't anything special as I didn't particular like the flavor of their normal salad. The onion salad was okay. I ordered the following proteins: Marinated Short Ribs bone in (highly recommend, super tasty and my favorite here), Kpop Steak (very tender and juicy), Unflavored Pork Belly (very small portion and not too bad) , Cajun Calamari (I didn't like as it looked like it was straight from the frozen aisle and tasted horrible), and Cajun shrimp (sorta small but had good flavor. I was upset that it wasn't larger and head on.) I ordered two portions of the short ribs as that was definitely my favorite here. The cheese corn was just awful. It did not look fresh and color was off. It also tasted stale. I usually love to eat cheese corn but I only had one portion today. The other side dishes were your typical Korean side dishes like kimichi, broccoli with red sauce, bean sprouts, raddish, and etc. They do not change out the grilles as they give you towels so you can clean off the grille yourself in between cooking. You also get cook yourself which I like because if I get sick, I can only blame myself. Lol Table service here was pretty good as they kept coming to our table and asking what we needed. The one waiter did forget to get me some of the Honeydew ice cream pops at the end as they were complimentary. I was so full at that time , that I didn't really care if I ate it or not. This is a nice little Korean BBQ spot for people in the Canton/Woodstock/Holly Springs area as they are super far from Duluth to drive to eat. The side dishes and seafood can be alittle better but for around $26, you really can't beat the price for all the variety. K-pop has way better sides than Iron Age, and more variety too. It's definitely on the pricier end nowadays, but I might be biased. I've been coming here since they first open, so I still remember the $23 dinner days. You've gotta try their bone in short rib (the bone in galbi). My kids love KPop & KBBQ so I knew this place would be perfect for them! The music videos really add to the environment and the food itself is just amazing. Out of all the unmarinated meats, the beef brisket & ribeye were our favorite. The beef brisket was fresh and were rolled perfectly ! When it came to the marinated meats, the Hawaiian pork belly & bone-in Galibi were spectacular! There were so many selections and all of them were so good! In comparison to Iron Age, everything seemed to fit the Korean bbq experience a lot better.
