He fixed my wife's MacBook Air, set up networks and back up drives at my work. He knows it all. A friend asked me if I knew a repair shop to fix his failed MacBook hard drive, and iTech was the first place I recommended. He got quotes from other neighboring competitors, but ultimately went with iTech because Mr. Kim offered the best price as well. In the end, he was completely satisfied the service too and became a loyal customer. What makes me come back is Mr. Kim's reliability, honesty and value of service. There's a back parking lot and enter from there. You can also call to make sure he's at the office or if you're trying to get a quote. What made the experience especially frustrating was being told immediately afterward that they could repair the phone out-of-pocket for around $500. This left me wondering: if the phone is physically repairable, why is it ineligible for a warranty repair? Whether there is a legitimate policy reason or not, no one explained it to me. I also asked for documentation, such as a diagnosis, notes, or any paperwork I could review later to discuss with Google directly. The staff refused to provide anything unless I opened a paid repair ticket. Since a $500 repair was not economically reasonable, I declined. I left with no documentation, no clear explanation of the diagnosis, and no guidance on my next steps.
