A tenant an issue with an old outlet that was on the outside of the house. The outlet had been…read morethere before the GFCI outlets were required and there was a short due to the tenant plugging their EV to charge during those heavy rains in November that caused the outlet to stop working and fried the tenant's charger. Fortunately there wasn't any electric fire or shorts at the house's electric panel. My brother put out a bid on Yelp to find a capable electrician who could replace it at a reasonable cost and we decided on taking a shot with J Powers Electric. They showed up at the time of the appointment which is a big plus in my book and they gave me an estimated time of completion barring any unforeseen complications. The current outlet was replaced with a brand new GFCI outlet with an in use weather cover and everything went smoothly and quickly.
