Emidio was the most professional out of everyone I spoke to. There were no 'hidden charges' and the project was done with care. Emidio and his crew take pride in their work and treated my project as they would treat their own yard. There were tiny details that the crew pay attention to that other bidders did not mention. Items such as the importance of good quality concrete for the front driveway and sloping for the drainage. In addition, the yardwork such as tree trimming, planting, installing weed fabric, and adding the lava rocks were done properly to ensure it is aesthetically. The lava rocks were filled properly to the edges of the concrete, and new soil was brought in for the plants. Horrible. I got swindled. It's unfortunate that I have to share my story about this business here but people should be warned of business owners like this. I had a leak occurring somewhere underground. I initially called a plumber because the water would pool up at the water meter, but he turned everything off and confirmed it wasn't a leak. The PLUMBER dug up the ground where it was saturated, and found a French drain pipe that was duct taped together and slow leaking, charged me nothing and told me to call a landscaper. I just purchased this home a month ago. With it I was informed of this company servicing the property for the past year. I figured with a years prior knowledge of the property, they would be best to call. Boy was I wrong. Emidio showed up (20 min late to an 8am appt) and pulled away the two pieces of sod that the plumber had dug up. He replaced the junction of the plastic drainage and reduct taped it together. It took him 15 minutes. I made the mistake of not asking for a quote beforehand, because he then told me he had to charge me $350. He cited parts, labor, and that he had to drive from Galt to Roseville. I could tell by his delivery that he knew he was asking too much, considering the digging was done for him for free, the parts were $15 plastic at most with some duct tape, and the commute is part of your job dude. I went to grab my card and he informed me he only accepts Venmo or Apple Pay. I paid him with the idea in mind that he would stand behind his work. He told me the ground would take 2 weeks to dry. When it wasn't, I reached out to him to either refund me my money or to come fix it right. He ignored my texts and I haven't heard from him to this day. Do yourself a favor and avoid this man and his business at all costs. Speaking of cost, his weekly fee for poorly maintaining this property is equal to the monthly fee that the landscapers who I called next and actually fixed the issue charge for their services. Don't get ripped off, people like this are a detriment to the professional working world. I figured I would still give his staff a try and see what they did to maintain the property for their exorbitant pricing. They no-showed. Lastly, when he came out to the property he stated the issue had been occurring for months. I asked him again over text and he changed his story to "a couple of weeks". I called him out on it and he decided to insult me by saying I should have paid for an inspection to be done - like I hadn't done exactly that. The dude is rude, unprofessional, lacks knowledge of this industry, overcharges, can't stand behind his work, and will disappear when he's called back to fix his lazy work. EDIT: Just read this guys response to this review find out everything you need to know about him as a business owner. Gas is a business expense, and it doesn't cost $350 to drive 40 minutes from Galt to Roseville. You knew the distance when you bid that job with the previous owner. The $15 piece of plastic and 3 feet of duct tape doesn't cost you $350. You just openly admitted that the repair services you offer don't work. And then you blame the customer when your lack of expertise gets exposed. You did it in your text telling me I should have had the home inspected (I did, idiot), and you did it again in your response to this review. I didn't want free work, I wanted a job done professionally - and the people I paid $700 to got the job done correctly. It's not about the amount, it's about being adept enough at what you do and about standing on the work you're supposed to be providing in exchange for those fees. As for replacing the entire pipeline, the area above the saturated lawn was bone dry. I can also tell you now that it's fixed that if I'd let you replace the entire line I would've wasted even more money for you to not fix the problem. You wanted a bigger job that wouldn't have even resolved the issue so you could milk more money. You're greedy and inept, you will run your business into the ground. There's business owners like you who pollute the landscape of the professional world by overcharging for garbage work and then wanting to charge again to do it again when you can't even diagnose the issue correctly. I reviewed several bids for my back yard cleanup and landscaping. My back yard had a ton of overgrowth, weeds and shrubs, and a fallen tree that needed to be cleared out. I also asked that they add some type of ground cover that would prevent weeds from growing back. Their bid was competitive and covered everything I wanted to get done. My wife and I hired Emidio in March 2024 to help us create an outdoor space in newly built home. The home builders didn't level the backyard and the rear of our yard was at a 40 degree slope. Before Emidio built a retaining wall with consideration given to the rain water that will inevitably be running from our neighbor's yard into ours, he had to dig out unleveled ground and then a drainage system was installed behind the retaining wall and connected to the existing yard drains. The next step was to lay paving stones for the rear deck and trash can receptacle then spread 11 cubic yards of gravel and bark. Lastly, he assisted us in planting 2 Queen Palm trees in 150 gallon above-ground pots and 3 fruits trees in 100 gallon above-ground pots. We had to complete the entire project in 4 days do to my hectic work schedule. He arrived on time, worked efficiently and was always willing to modify the drawn up plans if he saw that doing so would be in my advantage.What we ended up with was an oasis for wife and a lounging area for my cat and puppy. We are more than pleased with Emidio's craftsmanship! I you want quality work, a decent price and a quick turnaround, hire this Man!!!!!!!!!! Emidio, we can't thank you enough.
