That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. Before receiving the quote, I sent multiple photos clearly showing the bushes, roots, and work area, and explained that I have fibromyalgia and spinal arthritis, which is why I needed help with the job. Unfortunately, the experience became extremely stressful and uncomfortable. After the work began, the owner repeatedly complained that he "didn't account for the roots" and tried to increase the price, even though everything had already been shown in the photos beforehand. During the job, my pavement was cracked and my irrigation system was damaged. No one warned me ahead of time that the irrigation could be affected or discussed any precautions before starting. When I brought up the damage, I was told there was basically "nothing they could do." The owner was aggressive, loud, and repeatedly threatened to stop the job and leave the work unfinished whenever concerns were raised. The constant arguing, pressure about money, and confrontational behavior made the entire situation feel very intimidating and unprofessional. The work was eventually completed after more discussion, but the overall experience was chaotic, stressful, and lacked professionalism and accountability. I strongly recommend getting every detail in writing beforehand, including scope of work, pricing, and responsibility for damages. NOTE: The owner called me then texted me. I had to block him. I did not contact you further or continue any argument. My review reflects my personal experience with the work performed, including the property damage and how the situation was handled. I would prefer no further phone calls and that all communication remain respectful and in writing only. This is inappropriate behavior and he's making heritage assumptions.

I had my backyard completely redone with this company in 2020. I had a patio awning installed. They…read morehad it permitted through the city and inspected. It passed. Just two years later we started noticing that the window directly under the awning was leaking during severe weather. (So once or twice a winter) it has been a nightmare ever since. I called Salens to have them come inspect. They did not come out. They gave me the number of the company who did the awning. My husband and I both reached out to them to NO RESPONSE. At that point I felt like I wasn't going to get help from Salens or this other company. I reached out to several awing companies and explained the issues I was having, to see if they would come inspect the work. To no surprise very few people felt comfortable inspecting work that wasn't theirs. I found someone who did come out, pulled back flashing, recaulked, and sealed some cracks around the area. This helped initially but the leaking came back. I had a leak detection company come out and they couldn't replicate the leak. At this point my option is to pull the awning down and throw 6,000 down the drain or cut a whole inside my home in the drywall to see where it's leaking. Pulling the awning down will require me to completely resucco the backside of my home. Theres no visible damage from the leaking. Our Insurance company couldn't find the source and declared it wasn't from a storm. I called Salens back because I really wanted to speak to the owner about this and I left a message with another staff member. It's been two weeks with no call back. All of this to say I would vet the subcontractors this company uses. I also would not recommend drilling into stucco !

He is a true professional and stands behind his work. We had 23 sprinkler heads replaced and Tony came by with a really fair offer and showed up when he said he would. The work was done in just a few short hours and he went above and beyond. Tony identified a drip line issue, a sprinkler head that should be moved to another spot, and a tree that needed to be trimmed. He did all three on his own at no charge! My lawn looks fantastic with an even spread. A few weeks later, one of the sprinkler heads snapped and he came by same day and replaced them no charge!
