It was difficult to maneuver because there were a lot of people and a lot of people that are inconsiderate, too. Like a family of 6 walking side by side? Who are your parents that never taught you basic manners?! Service was nice. They hold your ID until the rental is returned. Gavin had fun. A helmet is mandatory for kids under 18 (free). All you pay is the rental for the bike itself. I'm not sure when will be our next cruise but we will definitely try this again but early in the morning so we can bike freely w/o people.

My first encounter with this business was over the phone. The owner,Bass, did an amazing job explaining the difference between the E bikes. He spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me was kind, thorough and encouraged me to take a test ride before I bought an e-bike. When I went in a few months later, he remembered our conversation, and again was so kind and friendly. Initially, I thought a 500 Watt bike would do, but after he explained the difference and I rode one, I realized how much more power the 750 Watt bike had to ease the strain of going up hills. I ended up buying a used bike from him and he went out of his way to ensure I got the best deal. I was so delighted that he delivered the bike as well, since he wanted to clean it up and make it pristine. I highly recommend this small business that has integrity, kindness and flexibility. I bought the Aima Santa Monica and love that I can sit upright (due to back issues). Rent or buy, you're going to the right place if you like excellent customer service! read more

I made a mistake use the app to check the bike on Their website. I don't saw any shipping fee on my order. The shipping fee is $500! I live in Irvine CA. I immediately wrote two emails to them at the night time. 2 days haven't reply me . I called them two days later. The owner said she will tell them manager . After 6 days I still haven't received any Emails and calls. I called the manager . The bike hasn't shipped. The doesn't refund my money. They just want to get my money! So Crazy! We rented 2 very nice model E-bikes from this business. Great customer service! Ashley was so welcoming and very informative. The business was so organized with great rental products. Everything clean and up to date. She modified a few things on our bikes to make the experience even better. We rode to Fiesta Island and around Mission Bay. Roughly 11 miles. A completely different (positive) experience than we had the previous day in Coronado. Highly recommend renting e-bikes from E Rydes. read more

Best e-bike rentals in San Diego! Super easy to rent from the bikes are top notch we rode all day from Mission Beach to LaJolla, sea lion caves, Mission Bay, sunset Cliffs, and the Americas cup harbor and still had a lot of battery left after 8 hours! So fun and easy to see the sites without dealing with traffic and parking. Also can be hard for me to find a bike that fits because I'm small but their bikes were perfect! read more

During our break we locked up our bikes and then when we tried to unlock them the lock was stuck. Thankfully when we called the guy at the store he did a FaceTime and helped us figure out what was going on with the lock. When he walked us through on how to unlock the jammed lock, he knew exactly what was going on. Overall it was a great experience and very friendly service at a very good price. We rented the beach cruisers which is the very basic bike you can get at $15 an hour, and then helmets and baskets are extra. It was worth it and we'd rent bikes here again!
