The staff was really accommodating when we arrived, providing us with easy instructions and free helmets. Their positive attitude gave us a great start to the trip. Its hard to imagine this place has good reviews. But if you look at the dates, they are very old. So are there bikes. The bikes are old, sneaky and not well maintained. The one staff guy was not personalable at all. They also took a photo of our credit card for a security deposit which I think is illegal. We wont rent here again. read more

Great location, great bikes, and great price -- what more could you ask for? All that plus excellent service. As part of my wife's extended, long-weekend birthday festivities last month, we decided to rent a couple beach cruisers and take them for an adventure on the boardwalk from PB to the Mission Beach jetty. And the price was right: $15 a bike for the rest of the afternoon -- until they closed at 5PM. The bikes were in great condition and we enjoyed the ride. Rad shop! Unfortunately,I got there just before closing time. The gentleman at the counter, who I'm thinking was the owner, (didn't get a name, sorry) said If I wanted to catch the sunset on an E bike, he would give it to me at a discount, since I would only have about an hour and a half versus the 4 hr. rate. He shut the shop down, told me to call him 10 minutes before I was gonna be back, and he would meet me, unlock the place and return it. I'm definitely not saying to expect that kind of service every time, but that is the epitome of customer service. On top of it he was a super chill dude, which every beach shop owner should be, but for some reason that is definitely not the case. Will rent again when my family comes to visit! read more

Went to purchase used bikes from them and spoke to a nice lady who gave us info etc. We weren't ready to purchase that day but came back about a week later to buy the bikes. We picked out the ones we wanted and the one gentlemen was gonna tighten the chains and get them ready. We had stepped outside while they prepped them and got a weird vibe for another guy there, apparently the new owner. They were obviously all fighting and we stepped back in and they said "sorry the new owner doesn't want to sell them to you anymore" . It was the most awkward experience being there. The prior owners seemed chill and laid back , but the new owner seems like he could improve his customer service skills. I won't support them when my families come to town to visit, I'll pick another small business to support. read more

Stu came in clutch on a Monday afternoon! My friend and I were roller skating up the boardwalk from Belmont Park to PB and near their spot, my toe stop popped clear off. She and I couldn't get the little rubber piece back on the end of my roller skates and we knew were nearby Fritzy's, the local roller skate shop, but when we got there they were closed on Mondays. Luckily Boardwalk Electric Rides was next door and open and Stu was more than kind enough to try to help us. With a little finagling he was able to re-attach the stop so we could head back to Mission Beach where we had parked the car. He was an absolute life saver and so nice while helping us out!
