My niece…read moreand I went to purchase her prom date's tux after he had been fitted a week prior with salesman Jeff Simon. My niece and I practically picked out everything and proceeded to locate the salesman of our choice. We were greeted with what seemed like disdain and rudeness. Jeff rushed us through the visit (there were no customers waiting). When we tried to disclose to him the nature of the visit, he would cut us off instead of listening. He seemed annoyed overall, especially when we were assertive about our choices. Now, all of the aforementioned wouldn't have been problematic if he was actually good at his job. I paid for a tux rental, a shirt, and a tie. Lo and behold, when prom date arrived to the store today, it was discovered that Jeff hadn't correctly documented our order. There was unnecessary chaos and confusion. If you value quality customer service, don't spend your bucks here. Update: I posted a review fb as well to warn customers about the poor service I had recieved. The mister shop responded, validating their gross incompetence and lack of professionalism. Then, after they were exposed, they took down the fb thread. Again, I would not recommend anybody spend their hard earned cash to be mistreated at this place.

In the email he assured me that he'd make sure to fix the issues I had expressed in my previous review. He also listed for me all of the prices of the hats there, most of which were under the price or just the same as hats at lids. The hats that were pricier were hats with custom brims. I was glad for the clarification and reassurance. I went in a day later and to my surprised the issues I'd mentioned in my previous review were gone, no more crappy display shoes and odor thank you! And the first thing that I saw when I walked in was the owner Robert hard at work and fixing up the displays on the floor himself. This let me know how dedicated he is to his business and how sincere and serious he is about custom satisfaction. After speaking with him in person he convinced me to come by the store again. I came back and bought a very nice hat. Thank goodness for good owners like Robert. I'm definitely a fan and will be back.

Nine days before my father's 75th birthday celebration on March 7, 2026, I came into the store specifically to purchase a suit for the event. From the very beginning, I made it very clear to the staff that I only had nine days and repeatedly asked if it would be possible to have the suit tailored, pressed, and ready in time. Two different staff members helped me select the suit, and during the process they asked several times when I needed it. Each time I clearly explained the date and the importance of the event. When the tailor came out to measure me for alterations, he also asked when the suit was needed. In total, the deadline was discussed six or seven times, and each time I was assured that the suit could be completed two days before the event. Based on those repeated assurances, I paid in full for the suit, alterations, and a tailored shirt. When I returned expecting to pick up the suit, I was shocked to learn that it would not be ready until a week after my event. When I asked how this could happen after the deadline had been discussed so many times, the only option offered was a refund. While I appreciate that the refund was issued, it does not solve the situation that was created. I was left without a suit and with almost no time to find another option before a very important family milestone. The most frustrating part is that I specifically asked multiple times if the timeline was realistic. If the staff had simply told me that the alterations could not be completed in time, I would have gone somewhere else immediately or even rented a suit. Instead, I relied on the assurances I was given. I am sharing this experience because this type of miscommunication should not happen when customers are planning for important life events. If someone from store management, district manager or Men's Wearhouse corporate customer care would like to reach out to discuss this situation, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with them directly.

The Economy Shop is literally a Victorian style house with every room crammed with secondhand goods and antiques. They're only open 3-4 days a month from 9am-3pm, so you need to plan your visit. When you enter, you're handed a paper sheet that is divided into different categories of merchandise. When you go to each room, they total up whatever you want to buy from that given room. When you're completely done shopping, you pay at the far back of the house and exit. Prices are fair and you can find some great stuff here. The basement was one area that was overwhelming. Almost too much to look at and fully absorb. Tips for first time visitors: 1. Bring reusable bags or a tote bag. They will give you bags but a good sturdy bag will work to your advantage. 2. Parking is tricky. You're fine on residential streets but if you park along the train tracks, you have to feed a meter. $2.00 per hour. Card payment only. 3. Leave small kids at home. The rooms and hallways are too packed and tight to reasonably manage kids in tow. I like this place! I will be back!

My fiance came looking for maybe a tie or pocket square to match my dark purple wedding dress, but also wanted to check out the Oxfords and suits. He ended up leaving with a perfect vintage suit that will only need minimal tailoring, a pocket square, a tie, as well as a casual shirt, all for less than the cost of renting a suit somewhere. Plus, gotta love supporting a shop like this -- in business 11 years and clearly going strong; there were 5 or 6 people shopping in there at the same time! And Richard was hopping from one to the next effortlessly. In addition to clothes, there are other vintage finds such as paintings/photos, cocktail accoutrements, and matchbooks. Richard himself works most days but said Sundays he has an assistant so that he can check out estate sales himself. He obviously takes pride in finding wonderful and unique pieces for his shop, and said that everything gets dry cleaned before selling (so it doesn't have the musty smell of some vintage shops). My fiance appreciated the thoughtful layout of the shop. It is obvious that we will be back to check out more fabulous finds!
