I really enjoyed my experience for PPT here. I also did a consignment here as well. The people here are friendly and do not give you the second class treatment like Reed's does for PPT. The parking is small but I haven't encountered a case when I couldn't find a parking yet. When you go in, input your information on the kiosk to be put in the queue and they will call your name when it's your turn. Yes it can get busy but there are actually a lot to look at so hopefully you won't get bored while waiting. Everyone I met there has been friendly and helpful. The place is bigger than expected as it has two rooms and there are a lot of consignment in addition to new guns. Yes the price can be all over the place but you can always offer your price for the consignment. Overall one of the best places for supporting your local gun store. Oh they don't have credit surcharge which is amazing for a small shop. Thank you. read more

Super nice folks, great place to go if you are a first time caller. Prices were super fair and all the guys that work there are helpful and walk you though the process smoothly. Selection was pretty solid every-time I've gone in and I've never felt ripped off unlike other shops in the Bay Area. No stupid jokes or signs in the shop either which makes the shop feel way more welcoming and open to folks that aren't traditional gun owners. read more

Ordered two items from them and they really work with you on the pricing. With many of their distributors, they can easily price match. They have a good amount of employees at all times and it's amazing how much each and every one of them specialize in something different. Whether it was something about a muzzle, scope, etc, someone knows a good amount. They probably have the biggest amount of consignments out of all the stores and it's defintiely an older cozy atmosphere. Their pricing on ammo is too much though. read more

Went in; the store was empty. Started a transaction w/one of the 3 staff in the store. The phone rings the person helping me picks up. The next thing I know they go out to the floor to look at gun the person on the phone is asking about. Then more questions by the person on the phone. I went in and was greeted by the employee, I then had to put my name on a iPad to wait and no less then 5 min Armando came and assisted me. I went into this store because the store I purchased my firearm from shut down and the only store that was closed to me was this one. Armando help me out on what I came to do and he made sure I was happy with my purchase before I left the store. Great service and great selection. The people here are very helpful and patient unlike Reed's. They also have a great selection and the prices are great as well. There's plenty of space in the building as well so you don't feel squished. Plenty of optics and accessories for sale as well. Just recommend you be aware you might have to find parking somewhere and walk to the store as the lot is small and shared with other stores. Nothing they can do about that but just be aware you may have to do a few laps or settle to park and walk. read more

Great gun and ammo store. I went in the late afternoon and it was a little busy, but they have a queue system so everyone gets their turn in order. They installed night sights on my H&K and did an excellent job for what seemed like a very fair price. I'll be back for sure. read more

I inherited some guns from my dad and 10 years later it was time to sell them. I was a hunter but time to face reality. Yes I was fortunate to deal with Arthur. We decided on consignment as 20% versus 50% as the guns were in new condition and I even had the the original box. Yes it took some time but I felt like I trusted his help. Great service! read more

The heavy set guy was not helpful when I was trying to purchase a pistol.he looked very unhappy with his life. Just sat there and stared at me then, when I would try to ask a question he gave me flat 1 word answers which were not helpful at all. Did not end up purchasing because of it. A friend recommended me this shop, and said they had recently acquired a pair of consignment handguns that were exactly what I was looking for. I was able to place one on hold thanks to Edgar, and Arthur was the person I interfaced with to do all the paperwork. Both gentlemen mentioned above were highly professional, personable as well, and were able to confidently answer all of my questions. Arthur was also able to demonstrate how to field strip the firearm for me, as this was my first purchase and I needed some guidance. Additionally, I was able to get ALL of what I needed right there. I picked up an ammo storage box, a handgun lockbox, and some range rounds. And their local veterans' affairs office provides a cable gun lock free with every firearm purchased here, which I think is a fantastic SP initiative (we as a nation should definitely take better care of our veterans, but I digress). These people exemplify responsible firearms stewardship in my opinion, and I can't tell you how much I value that. With my background working in specialty retail, I also can't overstate just how impressed I was by the level of knowledge and professionalism the staff here displayed. Kudos to them. I'll be back when I'm ready to start looking at long guns. When visiting, don't forget to sign up on the tablet at the door! These guys rock! I had messed up my Sig FCU following some YT videos, took it another gunsmith and said it would take weeks!!! Called here, told me to bring it in. Came on a busy Friday, now I know why they were busy... Good people, good service, brings the crowd. Anyways, they had it fixed in 10 mins tops. BIG shout out to Thuy and the rest of the staff. Came in to view a couple firearms. Thuy immediately greeted me and walked me through steps needed in order to get my License and CCW and the differences between so. After that he took showed me great introduction options for concealed carry and fun at the gun range. I had plenty of questions, about a few firearm's reliability, safety and performances and he answered all questions. I was roughly there for around 30 minutes and none of the staff seemed to be impatient whatsoever. Pricing wise I would say it's definitely reasonable! Will be coming here more often and recommending those venturing into the community. read more

Called in to inquire about H2 buffers. Got helped by Arthur. Was told aero precision h2s were available for $15. Drove here after the call. Got to see the item which had a $15.00 sticker on it. After it was scanned, actual price was $38. No discount or perk was offered for this mistake. Left immediately. Was given a jolly "Have a good day" and that was the end of the interaction. Based off the address and new name, this place must have changed ownership. I think the staff could have been better about making sure the sticker label prices reflect the actual prices. Here I was thinking I was getting a good deal. Only to waste time to come here and find a typical buffer for msrp prices. Would have been a good idea to double check the prices when we talked over the phone instead of giving me a false value. Good customer service goes more than just using a friendly voice. This place has not earned my business for the future. Good luck to them. read more

They have zero customer service awareness. I walked in and stood there for 20 minutes as they waited on Mr Magoo and other corky people that also were extremely rude and unaware. It's like being an invisible person. No engagement from any employee. No " I'll be with you next." Or "Hold tight." Will never buy from this place. read more

These guys definitely know their stuff! Tim is the one who helped me out and gave me a ton of info on different guns, sales, and future products that I could potentially buy. He helped educate me on the ins and outs of Californian rules. Furthermore, their FFL transfer fee is only 100 bucks. Some other places charge upwards to 150 per transfer. Despite them making a big claim about being "inclusive", one look at the type of pictures the hang on their walls shows that they are actually the opposite. Absolutely do not recommend this place. The security is weirdly lax for a gun store as well. There are much better places to go in the bay. read more

Very pleasant people. Probably give you a fair price on your guns. They do not send a check to you when they sell a gun. You must call to see if guns have sold and then they will send a check. If you have other gun paraphernalia, you will get almost nothing for it. They gave us $50 for many boxes of ammo, telescopes, cleaning articles, etc. read more

As a new gun owner and first-time AR15 builder, E2s Gun Vault is an awesome local gun store. Upon entering the store I was greeted and welcomed by multiple staff. My reason for the visit was to get my AR checked to ensure it was safe to operate. This being my first build, I wanted someone with more experience and knowledge to check my work. The staff checked my rifle, tightened the buffer tube castle nut, adjusted the spacing in my trigger housing, and applied lubricants to the BCG and charging handle. I've been to about half the gun stores in the Bay Area and E2's Gun Vault is by far the best for a few reasons: they're quick, they're extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and they have pretty good prices on everything. A lot of the time (especially on weekdays) I can walk right in, get helped, and be on my way in 20 minutes or so. For the uninitiated, that's extremely fast. The store is also well maintained, well lit, and not filled with junk and empty boxes like most gun shops around here. Idk how else to describe it but the vibe is just great. They're also really nice and not standoffish. Most OTHER stores take forever and don't really have a consistent way to work through customers, so you end up standing around for literally hours waiting to get helped while the regulars shoot the shit with the staff. Worst offender for wait times is Bass Pro, and Peninsula Tactical is pretty slow too. I'm talking stand there for an hour or more just to talk to someone. If you've been to one of those other Bay Area gun stores in the past and found it to be a total pain in the ass, give E2's Gun Vault a try. I bet they'll change your mind (for the better) about what visiting a proper gun store should be like. read more

Gone is the terrible service of Bay Area Gun Vault. The new management is friendly and accommodating. Although they have limited firearms (which is why they didn't get a full 5-star), their selection is clearly based on quality over quantity with a selection of hard to find firearms. My new favorite firearms dealer, since service is important to me if you want my business. read more

I would like to highly recommend E2 Gun Vault for all your firearms needs. E2 Gun vault has built or customized for me 4 rifles so far based on the AR platform.They built me a AR-.556 and a AR-500-Auto Max and a AR.450-Bushmaster also a AR-.308-carbon fiber long barrel.They are currently building me a AR-.308 short barrel "brush gun". The Staff at E2 Gun Vault is very knowledgeable about all firearms from Antique to Modern.I have also purchased a beautiful CZ side by side 12 gauge "Coach Gun" and a lovely little lever action .44 caliber "Henry Repeater" from E2 Gun Vault.I have also purchased several great handguns from E2,a Desert Eagle .50 AE,a great little glock 20 that they customized with a ZEVII trigger and S.&W. 500 with the 8.5 inch barrel.You name it and they will try to get it for you if you don't see it in their shop,exotic ammo as well. After opening the packaging and realizing that the magazines were not compatible, I brought both magazines, unused back to the store in an effort to either receive a return or store credit. unbeknownst to me the flimsy plastic package that the magazines were in were the only way to guarantee a return of said magazines, and the sales person was uncompromising in terms of any possible way of compensating my losses This experience was particularly jarring, given how accommodating they were during my initial purchase of the firearm. Needless to say, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

They do cash trade-ins day-of-sale unlike most gun shops in the area that only do consignment. They take the time to properly appraise what you bring in, make sure it's legal for sale in California and make sure all the required paperwork is filled out properly. Their prices are generally fair market value from what I've seen considering it's a cash-day-of trade-in. You'll be waiting for maybe an hour at most here to get paid for selling your stuff instead of the weeks that you would with a consignment sale or what passes for a private-party transaction in CA. Could you potentially get more selling privately or putting your stuff on consignment and waiting for it to move instead? Maybe, but their way of doing things avoids a lot of the multiple trips and waiting time that comes with doing either of those other two options instead in California. I would definitely recommend coming here if you have guns you need to sell urgently or if you would just rather not deal with selling on consignment or arranging a private-party sale yourself.
