I really enjoyed my experience for PPT here. I also did a consignment here as well. The people here are friendly and do not give you the second class treatment like Reed's does for PPT. The parking is small but I haven't encountered a case when I couldn't find a parking yet. When you go in, input your information on the kiosk to be put in the queue and they will call your name when it's your turn. Yes it can get busy but there are actually a lot to look at so hopefully you won't get bored while waiting. Everyone I met there has been friendly and helpful. The place is bigger than expected as it has two rooms and there are a lot of consignment in addition to new guns. Yes the price can be all over the place but you can always offer your price for the consignment. Overall one of the best places for supporting your local gun store. One of the few gun stores still open in the Bay Area. I've bought a few guns from them and have always appreciated their knowledge and helpfulness. I recently brought in my Walther P-22 for some gunsmithing when I saw a Grail Gun that I had been searching for a very long time. It was expensive as it is extremely rare and only available in California via PPT. After speaking with a team member (Armando) and handling the beautiful firearm I decided to buy it. He was very courteous and patient as I made my decision, which took a while. I decided to "pull the trigger" and gave him my credit card. He rang me up and put it in the back. They have a good amount of employees at all times and it's amazing how much each and every one of them specialize in something different. Great service and great selection. The people here are very helpful and patient unlike Reed's. They also have a great selection and the prices are great as well. There's plenty of space in the building as well so you don't feel squished. Plenty of optics and accessories for sale as well. Just recommend you be aware you might have to find parking somewhere and walk to the store as the lot is small and shared with other stores. A friend recommended me this shop, and said they had recently acquired a pair of consignment handguns that were exactly what I was looking for. I was able to place one on hold thanks to Edgar, and Arthur was the person I interfaced with to do all the paperwork. Both gentlemen mentioned above were highly professional, personable as well, and were able to confidently answer all of my questions. Arthur was also able to demonstrate how to field strip the firearm for me, as this was my first purchase and I needed some guidance. Additionally, I was able to get ALL of what I needed right there. I picked up an ammo storage box, a handgun lockbox, and some range rounds. And their local veterans' affairs office provides a cable gun lock free with every firearm purchased here, which I think is a fantastic SP initiative (we as a nation should definitely take better care of our veterans, but I digress). These people exemplify responsible firearms stewardship in my opinion, and I can't tell you how much I value that. With my background working in specialty retail, I also can't overstate just how impressed I was by the level of knowledge and professionalism the staff here displayed. Kudos to them. Called in to inquire about H2 buffers. Got helped by Arthur. Was told aero precision h2s were available for $15. Drove here after the call. Got to see the item which had a $15.00 sticker on it. After it was scanned, actual price was $38. No discount or perk was offered for this mistake. Left immediately. Was given a jolly "Have a good day" and that was the end of the interaction. Based off the address and new name, this place must have changed ownership. I think the staff could have been better about making sure the sticker label prices reflect the actual prices. Here I was thinking I was getting a good deal. Only to waste time to come here and find a typical buffer for msrp prices. Would have been a good idea to double check the prices when we talked over the phone instead of giving me a false value. Good customer service goes more than just using a friendly voice. BIG shout out to Thuy and the rest of the staff. Came in to view a couple firearms. Thuy immediately greeted me and walked me through steps needed in order to get my License and CCW and the differences between so. After that he took showed me great introduction options for concealed carry and fun at the gun range. I had plenty of questions, about a few firearm's reliability, safety and performances and he answered all questions. I was roughly there for around 30 minutes and none of the staff seemed to be impatient whatsoever. Pricing wise I would say it's definitely reasonable! I've been to about half the gun stores in the Bay Area and E2's Gun Vault is by far the best for a few reasons: they're quick, they're extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and they have pretty good prices on everything. A lot of the time (especially on weekdays) I can walk right in, get helped, and be on my way in 20 minutes or so. For the uninitiated, that's extremely fast. The store is also well maintained, well lit, and not filled with junk and empty boxes like most gun shops around here. Idk how else to describe it but the vibe is just great. They're also really nice and not standoffish. Most OTHER stores take forever and don't really have a consistent way to work through customers, so you end up standing around for literally hours waiting to get helped while the regulars shoot the shit with the staff. Worst offender for wait times is Bass Pro, and Peninsula Tactical is pretty slow too. I'm talking stand there for an hour or more just to talk to someone. If you've been to one of those other Bay Area gun stores in the past and found it to be a total pain in the ass, give E2's Gun Vault a try. I bet they'll change your mind (for the better) about what visiting a proper gun store should be like. read more

As a new gun owner and first-time AR15 builder, E2s Gun Vault is an awesome local gun store. Upon entering the store I was greeted and welcomed by multiple staff. My reason for the visit was to get my AR checked to ensure it was safe to operate. This being my first build, I wanted someone with more experience and knowledge to check my work. The staff checked my rifle, tightened the buffer tube castle nut, adjusted the spacing in my trigger housing, and applied lubricants to the BCG and charging handle. Very pleasant people. Probably give you a fair price on your guns. They do not send a check to you when they sell a gun. You must call to see if guns have sold and then they will send a check. If you have other gun paraphernalia, you will get almost nothing for it. They gave us $50 for many boxes of ammo, telescopes, cleaning articles, etc. read more

Gone is the terrible service of Bay Area Gun Vault. The new management is friendly and accommodating. Although they have limited firearms (which is why they didn't get a full 5-star), their selection is clearly based on quality over quantity with a selection of hard to find firearms.
