I always get takeout. Their meals are low priced and come with a lot. It is always very fresh and very good.

For a strip mall Chinese place it wasn't bad. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean. However the food was basic Chinese you could get in the frozen foods section at a grocery store. The sesame chicken was barely chicken at all; it was basically all breading. The pad Thai was pretty good overall, besides the chicken slices feeling a little slimy. The won ton soup was good. Just passing through High Springs and found this place on Yelp. They have very good Chinese food and told me they plan to offer some Korean and Japanese in the near future as they finish their dining room improvements. I got the curry chicken which, in the combo, comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Right now they only offer take-out, but the decor and atmosphere looks very promising for a pleasant full service meal in the dining area. This restaurant used to be the crown jewel of High Springs. Now it's a second rate dump that sells an inedible version of Chinese food. I have never in my life been less impressed with a restaurant. The service is ABYSMAL! Ignore every photo posted here on yelp, they don't make any of that food anymore. They have new owners that were going for "a more authentic feel" well it feels just like communist China, so they've been successful in their hunt for authenticity! This used to be a fast food Chinese Restaurant. But the quality of food went down and the owners kids would demand their mothers attention while customers were trying to order food. You couldn't sit in dinning room because that was the kids play room. So, last year they changed owners, the dinning room is beautiful and the food is excellent! The service is good and friendly. It is a pleasure to dine in or take out and its delish. Prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food for the money. First for the negatives. As others have mentioned, the physical location of this place is not great. Sitting by the front window gives you panoramic view of strip mall laundromat denizens hanging out and smoking cigarettes. Ask to sit away from the big windows in front if you'd rather not experience this. The interior is also pretty spartan. No music and few if any pictures or basic items of decor. Booths have wooden chairs which are okay. These are the reasons for my less than 5 star rating. Now to the food. We split a pork eggroll for an appetizer. It came piping hot and fresh, really good with the veggies nice and crisp. The attentive waitress brought us small dishes with hot mustard and duck sauce for dipping. The menu is extensive with something for every taste including vegetarian. I ordered one of their specialty dishes which had beef, chicken, pork and large shrimp with braised vegetables in a garlic brown sauce. Pork fried rice came as my side. I was in heaven. It was prepared to perfection with nice crispy broccoli florets and snow peas. The serving size was generous, loads of meat. Nothing but praise for this dish. It was superb with every bite. Wife went with sweet and sour shrimp and was also happy. She took nearly half of the large serving home. The friendly waitress was extremely proactive, frequently checking with us, bussing dirty dishes and keeping on eye on the beverages. Excellent service, could not have been better. I should point out that it was not very busy at the time but they seemed well staffed. So bottom line, don't expect loads of ambience but do expect a delicious and large meal at a reasonable price. If you're used to eating limp Chinese dishes from a buffet steam table, prepare to be blown away by the difference. Next time I'm looking forward to their Mongolian beef which the chef will chili spice for you on a scale of 1 to 5. If you find yourself hungry in High Springs, give this place a try. read more

Our party of four walked out without eating due to the unprofessional waitstaff, unclean facility, and denial of the advertised egg roll special. The pictures on yelp, and Facebook are not an accurate representation of the current restaurant, and none of those items are even still available. Not only should you go to a REAL Chinese restaurant - you go very fast. This is the second review I have written because somehow my one star reviews keeps disappearing....hmmm wonder how that is? We have gone here THREE TIMES and all three times has been poor quality. This past week EVERYTHING was a disaster. Egg rolls worked double or triple cooked. The soup was NOT FRESH wonton soup and the main entrées were inedible. We fed the dog and the dog said NO. PLEASE GO TO another place and maybe we will get rid of these faux Chinese food people. We did not even get to dinner so you know this place deserves less than one star. They only get the star because our waitress was cool at first and I could not give any less. First warning, menus were stained with several things crossed off. We ordered our soda, appetizer order (sampler platter) and let them know we had checked in to Yelp to get our free egg rolls. The waitress came back and let us know that the new owner would not honor the free egg roll check in. Further, their donuts were not part of the platter. Their donuts were the cheapest item on their appetizer menu. You would think they would jump for joy that we picked a cheaper item than expected. After this and the fact that waitress did not know what "numb sauce" was (who could blame her,) we decided to pay for our drinks and go more in town to eat. We let the waitress know this and the waitress went from friend to foe. She grumbled about hoping for a big tip from us and walked away. Giving us our check was not her priority. I do not blame her. We were no longer a paying table. Once we did get our bill, we went up to the front to pay. The person at the front (who the waitress confirmed was one of the owners earlier) asked how our experience was. We obviously said it was not good. She said "What? You have something wrong with you?" Yes, lady, we have something wrong with us because we want standard customer service. Our friend offered that his sprite was good which she liked to hear. She mentioned they recently took over ownership and don't offer the deal anymore. I stated that they should take it down then which she said she did. Great. Unfortunately their other issues will the customer service made it so my friends and I will never go again. The waitress mentioned the previous owner gave away too much. Maybe they really offered enough to keep customers. I will be really surprised if this restaurant is still open in a year. read more

So, my wife and I stopped Alachua, in the middle of a long road trip. We were both craving Asian food, so we found he came across this restaurant. The restaurant itself is tucked away in an obscure little shopping area. When we ordered our drinks, I requested a Diet Coke, and it came with zero carbonation so I stated my concern and requested another, same issue, so I just ordered a tea instead. So, I've always been more on the adventurous side when it comes to food, so I asked the staff for a recommendation and stated I was up for anything. They came back and asked if I liked mussels, to which I said yes. When the dish finally came, it was about 10 to 12 muscles, open faced, with a little onion, and tiny bits of black beans. It was a simple dish with a drizzle of soy sauce and not too bad, however when we received the check, the price for the mussels was,....$16.95! Keep in mind that the mussels came with no sides and again only about 10-12. Kinda feel like I got duped. Wife's food was very good and service was great but I just cannot get over how much I was charged for the mussels. read more
