I then dig through my wallet and pull out my AAA card to find that my membership has lapsed. I think about re-joining online but find that my phone battery is at 1%. F%ck. Eventually I look up and see the side of the AutoZone just feet away. I go in there, dragging my dog , who has been in the car with me this whole time and is now starting to throw judgmental looks. I ask about buying a new battery, but they say that they'll try to jump if first with their little power pack. An amazingly nice guy comes out with me and after flipping through the manual for a good five minutes we locate the battery under the back seat- Priuses are weird- and he uses the charger thing and the car starts. They unfortunately weren't able to sell me/install a new battery- they only will do that for the typical under-the-hood ones, so I will have to go to a full-service repair shop- but the assistance was totally free. He doesn't offer an apology and isn't at all concerned about my experience. This location simply does not care about its business. I instead tried Advance auto parts and was able to save over 50 dollars though that's based on Autozone charging me for a battery that cannot even fit in my car.

They don't, instead they charge me another diagnostic fee and tell me "We had a specialist look at it. It needs a new transmission." I end up taking the car to another shop. It takes them 5 minutes to tell me "Your transmission fluid is almost empty. There's nothing wrong with your transmission. That's all." Instead of spending $31,000 with this Nissan, I'm now spending $300 with another shop. A truly incredible experience. 1/10.

As you can see, my original review was not insulting or abusive. Ken was adamant that my review was a lie, telling me it stated they "did nothing". Instead, my review specifically stated they "did not fix anything". I recognize they ran diagnostic testing but since they were unable to find a problem, nothing was fixed to prevent it from happening again. When I tried to explain this distinction to Ken on the phone, he became hostile, repeatedly talking over me and raising his voice, insisting I could never return. Being refused future service for leaving an honest review is extremely unprofessional, however, I would choose to not return regardless.

(Yeah, the car I am looking for parts for, is 35 years old!) But their software lists it (an oil pan) as grade A and available. I really got the feeling it was too much trouble for him to hunt down. Followup calls for other parts and clarification - (I had No Idea what "7000 DAYS" meant...) not answer the phone, or hung up on me before I could even state my needs. Other attempted followup calls on phone to other numbers seems to lead to the same guy, and rather than talk with me, he hangs up on me with smart-assed quips. Attempts to use alternate numbers/alternate methods, leads all to the same guy? (maybe? or they just got clones on their sales lines?) All I wanted, was to be sure, that a part I really need for a rare car isnt just sitting one shelf down from wherever their flunky thought it should be but didnt bother to look. I mean, its not like he inspired me to confidence in this . Their Chat software seems to say they got 4 guys working, but I just get the same guy... bad luck? Plus, two different phone numbers to two different addresses and the same guy answers? If it wasn't BUSINESS I would NEVER bother them. But I expect better treatment as somebody trying to do BUSINESS with them. Now I am looking for someplace to leave an official complaint and maybe a poor rating on their customer service. They seem to have NO comments, onsite ratings or ACTUAL contact info that links to anything. I think they are a VERY poor risk to chance your money on, even if they ARE the business they say they are. Which I dont actually know, but their online inventory does not match what the people say they have! VERY poor service, VERY poor customer relations. A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT 1-star rating? I get there and some clown who says "I spoke to you" goes in the back to get the oil. After 2 minutes the clown returns with 15W-50 and says this is all we have. Next the trade parade and a wasted hour. What morons.

Also, from all the super nice ATVs lined up outside, I couldn't wait to see the rest of their bikes, jet skis, etc. To be completely honest, I was a little hesitant walking in, as I sort of expected a tough sell on price points beyond my budget. I only say this based on my previous experiences at car dealerships, but what I experienced at Maximum Motorsports was nothing of the sort. I got to browse literally the entire store without anyone looking over my shoulder. All of their employees are super chill and down-to-earth yet very knowledgeable and are around if you need extra help. Shoutout to one of the managers, Tommy, who noticed me looking a little lost and confused in the helmet section (what an awesome inventory, by the way!). Without any pressure whatsoever, he really helped me narrow down some options based on my budget, own personal preferences, and riding styles. He even searched in the back to locate an amazing helmet that happened to be on clearance sale. He scored me such an awesome deal off the original sticker price that I was able to purchase some great riding gloves and even an extra part that I needed for the fuel tank. We shared riding stories and even showed me a couple of photos of his own personal builds. I love meeting people that are passionate about what they do, and Tommy definitely knows his stuff. On the way out, I took a liking to one of their 2023 Kawasaki bikes, the Z125 PRO. With end-of-season discounts and rebates, it was only about $2,500 or so. Such a great deal for such a beginner-friendly yet fun modern bike! I don't quite have the space, but it's definitely on my radar down the road. It's an easy 5/5 from me!

Had to redo my paper work 3 times and when I finally left still got a call from the bank for mistakes she made. The the zx6r I bought had a recall and they told me my parts weren't there till kawasaki told me the day they where delivered and I told them I knew they had the parts and I threatened to leave this review. Now a few months later and the bike has a recall for the same issue with a do not ride order. Which is Kawasaki fault not there's but I asked for a letter stating there's no fix and john who works in service tells me he can't give me a letter because he has no time to write one which is a lie because he spent more time talking to me then it would of taken to write the work order. After telling him I didn't need the letter I recorded the conversation in which he clearly says theres no fix and that I can ride the bike its not serious just going to be another check. He kicked me out of the store and told me I'm not welcome there as a customer anymore. Avoid this place at all cost they only care about the sale especially for a mechanic to tell you go ride the bike its not serious when the engine can seize at any moment. Which i have on recording! They also didnt pay my loan of when they were supposed to. When I called to tell them its been a month and the bank is calling me they made a 500 dollar payment to my bank. Instead of paying it off in full. Which I was giving a first service free for the inconvenience but I literally have had to fight to be treated decent at this place since they sold me the bike.

In the process of starting the bike I broke the kick starter due to the high compression (caused as a result of replacing the head gasket incorrectly) This happened on camera of the shop and even with that I was charged for a new kick starter because "there is no way you could have broken it with the kick down it had to have hit on the peg" This I found funny as the kick starter and peg have been like this since I bought the bike in 2019 and that is the original kickstarter with original adjustments which I bought from Honda of Riverhead. Not only was turnaround slow, but work was lackluster at best.I truly wonder if it's more on the owner giving time constants to his mechanics for turn arounds as for a job like a valve adjustment you would expect them to at least start the bike after the work is done to check. However if it wasn't for me doing that I would have had to deal with all of this myself or god forbidden bring it back to HOR and waist more money.
