Did a 60k service with Tranny fluid change. 3 months later the Engine light comes on…read more I take it in for service and they immediately tell me I need to buy a new Transmission ($31,000). I called another Nissan service center who tells me to "tell them to check the fluid and/or pressure sensors." I ask these guys to check the fluid. They don't, instead they charge me another diagnostic fee and tell me "We had a specialist look at it. It needs a new transmission." I end up taking the car to another shop. It takes them 5 minutes to tell me "Your transmission fluid is almost empty. There's nothing wrong with your transmission. That's all." Instead of spending $31,000 with this Nissan, I'm now spending $300 with another shop. A truly incredible experience. 1/10.

My review simply described my experience, which was that the shop found no leak and was unable to explain where the coolant was disappearing to (attached). I was told to call back if the tank became empty again, which it did, so I called back today and Ken informed me there was a note on my account stating that I "bashed them online" and was "never welcome back". As you can see, my original review was not insulting or abusive. Ken was adamant that my review was a lie, telling me it stated they "did nothing". Instead, my review specifically stated they "did not fix anything". I recognize they ran diagnostic testing but since they were unable to find a problem, nothing was fixed to prevent it from happening again. When I tried to explain this distinction to Ken on the phone, he became hostile, repeatedly talking over me and raising his voice, insisting I could never return. Being refused future service for leaving an honest review is extremely unprofessional, however, I would choose to not return regardless.

They didn't have it but looked it up and ordered it for me. This was on a Wednesday night. By Thursday morning the fluid was there and I picked it up. That was great but it's not the best part of the story. I'm a woman and I'm not always comfortable trying to shop in an auto parts store. The staff at Advanced Auto are always friendly and extremely helpful. They are never impatient ,even when I'm not sure just exactly what I need. I wouldn't think of going any place else. In the process of starting the bike I broke the kick starter due to the high compression (caused as a result of replacing the head gasket incorrectly) This happened on camera of the shop and even with that I was charged for a new kick starter because "there is no way you could have broken it with the kick down it had to have hit on the peg" This I found funny as the kick starter and peg have been like this since I bought the bike in 2019 and that is the original kickstarter with original adjustments which I bought from Honda of Riverhead. Not only was turnaround slow, but work was lackluster at best.I truly wonder if it's more on the owner giving time constants to his mechanics for turn arounds as for a job like a valve adjustment you would expect them to at least start the bike after the work is done to check. However if it wasn't for me doing that I would have had to deal with all of this myself or god forbidden bring it back to HOR and waist more money.

Their lack of communication has led to my registration being held over a title issue that I was double charged for. When I finally did receive the refund it was given with disrespectful and unprofessional attitude from their manager who's got to be someone who's never done customer service before as he put me in a situation where he's blaming his salesmen and threatening to take my $50 refund out of his paycheck and asking me if "that's what I want". Looking passed their horrible manager, their title department is clearly processing my registration at a snail's pace so I've received letters from the DMV and Insurance about my new car not being registered under my name still and my old car needing to be added back. The headache is NOT worth the deal considering there are many Hyundai dealerships on the Island that are much much better. I know everyone will have a different experience here but be sure to make an informed decision before heading here, it could lead to further issues even if the price seems "right" on the website.

I took my vehicle to this shop based on their positive Google reviews, hoping to find a reliable…read moreplace near my new job. I was told my brakes and tires needed replacing, and as I commute long distances I wanted to make sure my vehicle was well equipped to handle winter conditions on the LIE. After my inspection was finished, I was quoted $1,079 for the brake replacement, new tires and the inspection, but when I went to pick up my car, I was charged in two installments (as the repairs took place on separate days) and the total was nearly $1,400--almost $320 more than what I was told the total would come out to be. To make matters worse, they removed my front license plate covers and replaced them with their own advertising covers without asking for my permission. Not only was I upset by the unauthorized advertising on my vehicle, but they also put my front license plate on upside down. (See attached photo for proof.) The final straw was hearing my brakes grinding after they had supposedly replaced them. This was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling taken advantage of. I had hoped to find a trustworthy auto shop for future service needs close to work, but instead, I feel like this place took advantage of my situation as a young woman needing an inspection. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend you get a second opinion before trusting this business with your vehicle.
