We recently stayed at Eagle Bluff Resort and overall had a great time. The campground itself was very clean and easy to get to, which we really appreciated. The bus driver for our float trip was fantastic--she explained the rules clearly and made the ride smooth and fun. The one downside of our trip was our experience at the check-in desk. The staff member we dealt with seemed very flustered and came across as a bit rude. My grandmother was especially taken aback by her attitude. She told us she didn't want to check us in because not everyone in our party had arrived yet (even though only some of us were camping), and kept telling us to "move to the side" even though we already were. The interaction gave us bad vibes and made the start of our morning feel stressful. We also weren't sure about the wristband policy--we thought we needed them, but there were no guards at the stand, which added to the confusion. Other than that, we had an amazing float trip and a fun camping experience. If the front desk staff were a little more welcoming and better prepared to handle groups, this would easily have been a 5-star trip. read more

The over all experience was a great time! But the staff member checking us in for the cabin 8/22 was very rude! I asked for an itemized receipt to be printed so I could see our fees and was told she could not print me one. Next day 8/23 we were checking in for our float trip and same staff member was present with the same RUDE attitude! I am sure we were over charged we had two kayaks and two rafts and ended up having to pay for two more adult floaters and again with no itemized receipt to see the fees. We OVER paid for this stay! Shouldn't cost 12 people over $1100 to float the river. Come on Eagle Bluff hire staff with PLEASANT customer service skills! We will book elsewhere next time! Got to float on a deflated raft and was told it was the only one we could get. Worst rafting experience ever, was not offered any compensation when mentioned to the driver, and was just told there's nothing they can do. Will never attend this place again. The first sign of change was the "Under New Management" notice. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. We checked in around 10:30 am, and I headed to the bathrooms, which were in dire need of cleaning and maintenance. After the bus ride to the drop-off point, we waited nearly an hour due to a shortage of rafts. The equipment, including life jackets and boat oars, appeared to be in poor condition. The raft we were given had large black patches on each side that became so hot you couldn't touch them, let alone sit on them. I've always used Eagle Bluff and used to recommend this place. However, after encountering similar issues on our last two trips, we will be choosing a different outfitter next time. read more

"UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" is what the sign says. Rented us a raft for $70 with a hole in the bottom that ruined my cell phone and $80 bluetooth speaker. The "late night campground" was deserted and the restrooms had no toilet paper, no running water and sewage was draining onto the ground. The "Tree Tops Grill" is not open like the website states, the employees are rude, the owner seems very angry at the guests. The police showed up two nights in a row for some reason. No one else was at the "resort" on Labor Day weekend. I wonder why. read more

Stayed a few years ago and it was great, stayed last weekend and it has definitely gone down hill. Front desk staff tells you nothing about anything. including not telling us that they would pick us up and deliver us back to our campground on their bus. We learned that after we lugged our stuff to the front. Campgrounds are not well maintained or even clean. Our electric did not work at H8. Showerhouse is not cleaned or sprayed for bugs. This was the absolute worst weekend of camping/floating i've ever experienced in the 25+ years i've been going to the Illinois River. We paid 60$(so 120$ for me and my wife) a person to camp Friday(6-28) and Saturday(6-29) night, as well as float 12 miles on Saturday. It took multiple phone calls the week before, as well as the day of to make sure they had the information correct for us to even camp properly. Every time something was wrong/missing/incomplete that 100% was told to them and somehow not written down. To start off, we arrived Friday to an absolutely filthy campsite. Beer cans everywhere, old bags of trash(the dumpster was about 50 feet away), old tiki torches, litter all over the ground, and the worst of all, multiple USED TAMPONS scattered about all over the campsite along with tons of wrappers everywhere. Beads in the trees, duct tape wrapped around the trees for some reason? Just literally a dumpster of a campground that they didn't bother to check/clean up before our group arrived. So now Saturday. We wake up and our "reservation" to float, 12 miles mind you, was at 10:00 AM. We call at 9:30 to let them know our group is ready in plenty of time, and we're told they have us down and will be back to pick us up on the bus at our campsite shortly. 11:00 rolls around so we call again, and the young lady that answers sounds confused, talks to someone, and says "sorry we'll make sure you're down and have someone back there to get you shortly" once again. 12:00 gets here, and we notice the campsite next to us is also waiting to float the 12 mile, so at this point they call the front office. They're told that they had no idea our campsites were ready, and that they have us down and will get us as soon as they can. About another 15 minutes roll by and they finally have an empty bus just for our 2 campsites(so evident they forgot us somehow). Now we get to the river at about 12:45, and there are multiple Eagle Bluff groups already waiting at the drop off point that don't have rafts. One group even had to paddle back to return the raft they did have because it immediately starting deflating. We're told we're going to just have to wait for rafts at this point on the beach, with no real time frame. After another 20-30 minute wait, a truck finally arrives with boats. But the workers immediately start bickering/arguing, to the point a friend of ours literally got on the trailer to unload boats so we could actually get moving. Then, after everything, the workers were going around practically begging people for waters out of their coolers(not a huge deal, it was hot, but still), even though everyone was very evidently annoyed with the entire situation, yet no one seemed to care. So finally, at about 1:30, we get to start our 12 mile float trip in the absolute heat of the day. My wife tried to call and complain directly to them, but was told the manager was busy and they took her phone number and have never called back. It was the worst camping and floating experience i've ever had. I will never consider going to Eagle bluff again, and if anyone ever asks for recommendations, i'll be sure to tell them "anywhere BUT Eagle Bluff" Says "under new management" but apparently the sign's been up since last summer, and they still can't figure it out. read more

I have been coming to Eagle Bluff multiple times a year, for at least 5 years, and this will probably be my last time to ever use this outfitter. The way my party was treated by the owners was rude, unprofessional, and down right nasty. I have visited the majority of the outfitters on the river, and this was by far the worst experience of any of them. Eagle Bluff Resort used to be the best, but has significantly gone down hill in the past year. Not to mention the horrible experience below, the place is poorly maintained, bathroom and shower houses are disgusting, falling apart, and in shambles. The entire places is like a swamp, and the roads are so poorly maintained you'll need a new suspension when you leave. We arrived on Friday around 4:30pm, checked in and proceeded through the security gate to our reserved campsite. We specifically asked for directions to our site, since we reserved R25, and didn't see an R25 on the campsite map. We pulled into the camp site we were told too, set up camp and began to enjoy our weekend. Around 10:30 that night, a golf cart with 2 employees on it pulled into our site and told us we were in the wrong site. We apologized and asked to be shown which site was ours. When they took me to the site, which was a small grassy patch about 20 feet long and 10 feet deep, with shared electric, I informed them that was not going to fit our 37' RV and, wasn't a suitable full hook up RV site as advertised. The employees talked with the office and said they had worked it out and we could stay where we were. The next morning at 8am, the owner was beating on our RV door saying we were in the wrong spot and had to move immediately. We told him we had worked it out with the staff last night and they said we could stay. His wife was on speaker phone and calling us liars, that no one from the office had been down here last night, and that we were incompetent for parking in that spot to start with. The old man owner just said we had to move down 4 spots and walked away. We broke down our camp, and moved 4 spots down to appease the neighbor who supposedly reserved two spots next to each other. After moving and re setting up camp, we went to the office to speak with them regarding the situation, and the female owner once again called us liars, stating there was no R25 site so it was impossible to book it (even though we showed her the confirmation which clearly states the site, and the other employees telling us there is an R25 on the website) and that she was too busy with other customer complaints to be bothered with us. Since we had already paid our $500 to be here we were not important to her in the slightest. When we asked the latest we could float was since we had to spend our entire morning moving camp, she asked when we wanted to go, and we told her around 11am (it was almost 10am at this point) she told us that float times were not guaranteed and we just had to show up when we were ready and give them a piece of paper. Why even ask us a time if you can't go at a certain time?! She is so hateful, and has zero business being in a customer service industry. The most frustrating part is the site next to our "new site" was vacant the entire weekend, and our "original site" also stayed empty the entire weekend. I don't understand if the people that booked two sites wanted an empty space next to them, why the owner couldn't have put them into the spot we were forced to move too since it was already empty, and we had been told we could stay! read more

Showed absolutely no awareness that there were about 35 people in line and all their groups were standing vying for shade in 100+ degree heat. Finally another customer got to the window, she started handing out paperwork for everyone to fill out. Not that it mattered, because then you have to wait for the bus. We got tired of waiting for the bus so squeezed our people in a car and made two trips to the site where you get your rafts, and even then, got tired of waiting and ended up getting them ourselves! We arrived there at 9:30 a.m., with reservations for 3 rafts. It was noon before we got on the water. read more

I've floated the Illinois many times but this was my first time using Eagle Bluff Resort. Made a reservation at Eagle Bluff resort to float the river 2 weeks in advance. Got to the resort at 9:00AM and waited in line for about 45 minutes just to check in. Waited for a bus to pick us up and take us to the river for 3 hours. Other people who paid to do the 12 mile float were requesting a refund but Eagle Bluff wouldn't give them their money back. We finally made it to the river where there were not enough rafts for everyone. We had to stand on the riverbank and wait for more rafts to arrive. What an absolute joke of an establishment. I will NEVER use this resort ever again and I recommend using Peyton's Place if going to float the Illinois river. read more

BED BUG CENTRAL!!!!! Not to mention blood on mattress, and was told vacuuming them would fix it till we finally got a new cabin which ended up having no running water. Rafts are not included in your bundle you buy! Was taken to the wrong place to start our raft. When we finally got there they failed to provide life jackets and paddles needed for our raft. After we were finally back from our raft we saw new arrivals moved into the bed bug infested house with no knowledge of the bedbugs! GROSS NASTY. Don't come it's such a waste of money! read more

The new owner is awful and was very rude to many of the people in our group, including the out-of-staters we have come in to camp and float. Sites way too close together. We were parked in huge puddle which owners had to know was here. Downpour left our bottom step underwater. Cell service minimal and no indication anywhere of this issue even when asked. Too far on winding road from town for us campers who were attending events all day over Cherokee Holiday. We basically had to stay in town as too far to drive back and regroup between events. I specifically asked about this issue beforehand! Forced to wear plastic wristbands all weekend just to return to sleep here. The places was a zoo from thur to Sunday. There is no real "beach" with gentle slope to get in river. $32/night inc tax on a 6 night stay with 2 floats Now that we have been here, I think we would just do raft trip only and stay in town. Water was fairly low in river. This is no "resort". Ok bath & showers but no pool, or laundry. No restaurant that was open. read more

This weekend my friends and I decided to flat the river. What was supposed to be a fun and chill Saturday was anything but. We had a reservation for the 12 mile float at 11:00. We checked in before 11:00 am and was told it would be a short wait. We were constantly told "the next bus, it'll be the next bus, don't worry it's the next bus". Over 3 hours later of waiting and waiting and waiting we were finally bussed to the river. But that's not the end of the wait because once you get down to the river you have to wait again for more rafts. It was over another hour before we finally got a raft and got on the river. The company and their "kindness offered" to extend the time we needed to be back by two hours, however our float was over 4 hours late. So not only did we have to wait, we also had to rush our float to make sure we weren't charged extra for their mistake. If you decide to float I highly recommend looking into another company and not making the same mistake that my friends and so many other made. I'm currently in the process of trying to get a refund ( even if partial) for the shit show they put us through. read more

The ONLY reason not giving 5 stars is that the only experience I have had is with the raft rental - and it was fantastic. The person that took my reservation was quite helpful, the staff on-site were friendly and courteous. The only less than outstanding thing I can say is that when I tried to call them on a Saturday during busy season right when we were supposed to be there (but had taken a wrong turn) I reached an answering machine. However due to a lengthy, slow moving line the time we were scheduled to be there and the time we actually checked in was not a problem. There are lots of float rental places on the Illinois River but Eagle Bluff rocked my aqua socks off. read more

We went on a saturday... HUGE MISTAKE. If you want to be stuck in line for over two hours be my guest. We made reservations, got there on time for the 12 mile kayak. But because of the time we stood in line, they had already stopped doing it. We had no choice but to do the 6 mile. Other than the fact that the teenage girl who was taking care of us had no clue what she was doing and charged us for the 12 mile, she then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't give me the difference back and that I would have to come back next time and use the $15 then. Long story short, she then messed up our times and we got on a bus that was an hour and a half after the one we were supposed to be on. Don't recommend it. Im sure if the management was there that day it would of been okay. Disclaimer: the bathrooms are pretty nice. But thats the only thing I can truly say that was good about that place. read more

Please read this if you're considering renting a cabin... River Cabin is the one we rented. 6 kids and 2 adults. Cabin rents for $225 a night but since we came on Sunday to float Monday they agreed to rent it at "Gavin's Cabin" price of $195 a night. I was happy about that. Even though taxes are included in the float prices, they aren't in the cabin prices. Total for 2 nights was $418. We were charged $518.75 up front just to make the reservation. $100 non refundable float deposit. The owner Leslie called me Sunday morning to tell me that only adults would be allowed on the river because of the level. (7 ft.) When I asked what my options were since we lived 3 hours away and had spent almost a grand planning for this trip for the kids she promptly told me, and I quote "You don't really have any options. It's non refundable and there's nothing wrong with the cabin so you can still stay in it whether you get to float or not. There's a really great Indian Museum in Tahlequah you can check out and lots of other things to do." Since we spent so much money and time we took our chances and went. Checking in was odd. Kids were between 8-12 but they all had to sign the waiver of liability themselves. They insisted. We get to the cabin and the river is close. Good location. Then we go in... The first thing that I did was gag. The place smelled so bad. It was a mix of bug spray, mold and egg farts as the kids put it. There were 5 sets of bunk beds spread out against the walls as advertised. Ripped plastic covers on them. Rickety as can be. Hospital or prison style mattresses. Good enough for kids I suppose. The one room had a small bed with another plastic mattress and ripped cover. When we went into the bathroom it was straight out of a horror movie. Smelled like a fresh dump and continued for the next 2 days. Water from every spigot smelled exactly the same. I've never seen such a high concentration of humongous spiders and crickets and centipede/caterpillar looking things in my life. Let's not forget flies. Oh ya, hope you're not afraid of wasps and yellow jackets and bumble bees. The front porch is riddled with them. The nests are all over the bricks out front. The kids wouldn't even shower or use any dishes that were rinsed in the water because of how bad it smelled. I finally showered day 2 because I decided it had to be grosser to not after the river. Speaking of that, after the river when we got back the electricity was out. A guy was there waiting to let us know and gave us a piece of paper with the electric company's phone number. Said he was gonna head home and it should be back on soon. It was several hours. No ac or lights in July. Fun. The place had not seen a vacuum in months, no cleaners for counters or anything else and everything smelled to high heavens. I had to purchase cleaner from the Illinois River Store. I don't know if there were more dead bugs laying around or creepy crawlies. This was my 1st time renting a cabin in my 10 years of coming to the river. I've seen less bugs tent camping. It was a nightmare. Monday, float day. ..we go to the office at 1. Cashier tells us we will be doing the 6 mile. We reserved for 12. She calls Leslie the owner who tells her no way a d we must do 6. Had to be there by 12 noon for 12 mile. The staff had no options. After loading the bus my husband went back in and called the owner and asked again. She argued with him about the time and said "if you're not in by 6pm I'm charging your card a whole bunch of money." When he asked for explanation she said she would charge us an additional $100 if we were 1 minute after 6pm. We were happy about the small victory. Got back around 5 but beached about 1 minute away from the landing until 6 so the kids could play. Made sure we were back on time. By the time we checked out we had paid $620 total. When I started figuring it didn't come out right. The website says kids up to 12 are half price. That's per raft and there's a 3 adult minimum. Who has 3 adults?! It's usually parents and kids if you have kids. Either way they ended up giving us a $43 refund for overcharging. We won't ever stay there again nor recommend them. A little customer service goes a long way. Arrowhead is the best. War Eagle owner is just as rude. They are nice til they get your money. Then you're just an annoyance for a day or two. I felt it my duty to share with others. The River Cabin is a dilapidated, dirty, awful smelling horror house full of bugs and old broken fixtures and furniture. Tents would've been much nicer. read more

Found out August is almost the perfect time of year to go. We stayed on the family side and it was pretty chill and quiet. You could still hear the party side but it wasn't that bad. I was really impressed by the security guards walking around the whole day checking on people. It was our first time floating on the Illinois river and we were a little nervous, especially with two young kids. We did extensive research on the best resort to float and the findings were inconclusive. We blindly picked Eagle Bluff and we are pleased that it turned out well. ALL the staffs we encountered were down to earth. A big thank you to Jeremy for making our experience a pleasant one. He is friendly, polite, and made us feel at ease from the beginning to the end. He drove us to the launching site and during the drive, left the door open for air conditioning. Our daughter was not used to a moving vehicle with open doors. He saw that and closed the doors to ease her mind. Very observant and thoughtful on his part, a big plus! He was there at the end of our six miles trip to greet us as well. The raft and oars that were provided were in good condition. The vests have seen better days. Maybe wipe down at end of business day? The women's bathroom was clean. Shower stalls available. Make sure to bring soap & towels. The fee was reasonable for rental and trasnport. $25 per person and half price for children. The water level was perfect for floating and there were many areas to pull over and enjoy a picnic or let the kids swim, wade, and observe the school of fish in the shallow water. The water was clear to where you can see the bottom. Make sure the kids wear swim shoes. There were many flat stones. Our kids had a blast skipping stones across the river! Next time we will bring nerf or water toys for them! Nice clean area overlooking the river if you choose to camp overnight. Thank you Eagle Bluff for the hospitality and making it a great first experience for us! We had so much fun, we are planning another trip before the kids go back to school. Eagle Bluff is great. Some of the things others knock we really enjoy. We have stayed at the camping cabin for years. It's is not the nicest place to sleep but for less than 100 per night and a place that sleeps up to at least 12 people, what do you expect. We have slept 12 people here but I recommend 9 at the most. We love the open air kitchen and the awesome fire pit. It's slightly secluded so that's great too. Did I tell you it had an awesome fire pit? It has an awesome fire pit! There are definitely nicer cabins on the river at other resorts. But let me tell you what you'll find at the nicer cabins. They are slightly nicer and may be far away from the river and they are much more expensive. If you find a really nice cabin it's not by the river and it's expensive. This is probably because of the flooding I have seen first hand. If you want a super nice cabin book a room at the Marriott in the closest city. Or do like we do and plan a trip to Beavers Bend on the other side of the state. There are fantastic bathrooms by the store. They are nice and clean. You can also shower in these bathrooms. These bathrooms are not open at night time so plan your shower accordingly. If you show up at any of the resort float trips on peak days and or peak hours you might be staying in a long line waiting for the bus. We have experienced this before. That's part of floating during peak times. Either wake up earlier, float on a week day or pick September to float. Also if you experienced a long and slow line here wait until you see a truly long line at one of the bigger resorts like Peyton's Place. In summary, floating the river and staying at Eagle Buff is great. It's a twice a year tradition for us. We love staying at the camping cabin. Maybe it's not that great. But like an old sweater we swear there is not a better one. read more

The staff have always been helpful in planning our trips and getting us settled once we are there. The river guides are very knowledgeable and helped us float safe during a high water float. I will never return to Eagle Bluff. We arrived on time for our scheduled slot and we waited 2.5 hours to be taken to our raft due to no rafts for us. One of us brought our personal kayak to use and paid $10 for the shuttle fee. They told us the drop in site to go leave our kayak since they cannot transport it themselves. One in our party decided to stay with our kayak and wait for the others to come. They waited over two hours and once the rest got on the bus, they were taken to a different drop in location. Upon realizing and notifying staff, they refused to go get our one stranded kayak and friend saying "call the office." We ended up being separated most of the trip because they told us the wrong drop in location. When we were done with the trip, they would not allow the kayak to get out at their end location. This trip was a disaster and management didn't care about our poor experience. They were rude and condescending and don't care about their customers. I don't know why we strayed from Peyton's Place, we'll definitely go back there next time. read more

First, I wasn't expecting a hotel, it is a cabin after all, but I didn't expect broken windows covered with cardboard, peeling linoleum floors, and heaps of trash outside the back door. Honestly, we had a good time, but my 7 year old niece said it best, "Our fantastic cabin is kind of ugly". The real problem was with information and guidance about floating the river. No one was very informative or helpful. Everyone was nice but just kind of assumed we all knew how things worked, as if we had done it many times. We hadn't and it was two very capable women with 5 kids. We were fine, but it would have been nice to have some information and guidance, i.e., a map of the river (little phone service), the river is slow moving and with the wind it may be difficult for two adults to get a big raft with 5 kids 12 miles, it's best to load your raft like this, etc. We even called at one point when we had service and was told that we were WAY behind schedule and were going to need to be picked up. We were not actually behind, but it made it a very stressful day because we were told we had only gone a few miles when we had actually gone 9. I couldn't figure out how it had taken us hours to only go a few miles, but I wasn't the "river guide". All in all, I would suggest paying a bit more and trying one of the other resorts. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't the great experience I was looking to have. read more

Well if I had read the reviews from other customers I would have booked elsewhere. The river is to high for a float trip ok that I understand refund that part of our trip but no that is not possible they say. Well so that they cannot deliver on the trip and we are not allowed to reschedule. So no refund and no service but paid for when we booked we were decent and paid for everything upfront don't do that for sure. Next complaint said they were kid friendly wrong what a lie so far 3 topless women roaming around drunk in back of the cabin we called them they said that is common they will Fall asleep soon just to keep our kids inside. Really costs us a 1000 for the cabin and the float is extra so we would like some piece and quite well that is not gonna happen as there is a party happening again tomorrow and the next night. The cabin is nasty we had to clean it before we even brought our stuff in. We asked the! To clean it they said they did we went to wal-mart and bought supplies to clean this slum lords palace. If you read this and still stay here you have bumped your head I am saying don't just run from here run screaming from here what a rip off dump I posted pics so you can see them for yourself. read more

Honestly didnt want to camp at eagle bluff in the first place because the first time I stayed there last year they put an RV right next to our campsite with now power. I had to move my tent 50yrds away to get away from the sound of the generator. A freaking generator was allowed to run RIGHT NEXT TO OUR CAMPSITE. Eagle bluff is probably just as bad as war eagle. If you don't plan to buy their "float package" don't go. I reserved a campsite online for 24$ and was informed by the owner she would be refunding my money because they don't let people camp on the weekend without buying the package. Why was I able to reserve that campsite online if I'm not allowed to? I was told that it says very clearly on the website their rules. Well it very clearly showed me how to reserve a campsite. So basically they would rather an empty campsite than let me camp there and transport my own kayak.. except.. wait what's this? They WILL let you camp with your own boat if you pay the 47$ package.. They don't care about their guests. Their excuse is that there isn't enough room to land with my kayak.. if that's the case why say the opposite if I pay double the money? They think they will make more, which in a sense they just might, seeing as my other 2 friends with personal kayaks payed 47$.... to camp. I'll be going to Payton's place to camp for 7$ and if I decide to take a shuttle (which I won't have to) it would be another 10$. We arrived at 3 O'clock (an hour before check in) at Carsons cabin and they told us they were working on the showers. We waited until 5:30 to finally get the keys just to find that the showers were ice cold and NO ONE had even showered yet around 8pm! Then Saturday for our float the clerks were lost and kept trying to over charge everyone that paid in our group, even when I already paid my float deposit of $100 and was to go towards my own 4 (2 adults 2 kids), she kept saying I owed. Then Saturday night we kept feeling things crawl on us, just to wake up to bites all over my 8 year olds body and a squished bed bug on my pillow that was full of blood and had just fed before getting squished! The supervisor apologized over and over but the owner still has yet to call me and fix this! I had to take my son to Urgent care because he had a severe allergic reaction to the bites and now I'm out even more money due to their bed bug problem! On top of that, we had to throw everything away so that we didnt bring any of them home! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! Such awful service. We have never been there...got lost because the address on the website is WRONG. BTW, if you go, it's on Scenic Hwy 10. (You're welcome) Anyway, we called this place five times. Five times some different air head teen answered the phone not having any idea how to explain the directions to us outside of, "Turn at the Pizza Hut and then at the slide." They did not know what damn street they were on! We rented one of their cabins. Super bad idea. It was GROSS. The stove was literally (I am not kidding) from the 1040's. They advertise cable and flat screens, they were there but they didn't work. We called for help. They came and said, "Well heck, I don't know what's wrong." and left. The couches were serious 1970s garage sale crap and it states there are three rooms with beds, there are three areas with beds, and ZERO doors! There were flies everywhere! The outdoor furniture was broken but still out there to use. One good point...the air conditioner worked. Never ever will these people get my money. read more

Ok I wish I had read reviews before booking ugh. First reserving a cabin and booking rafting over phone was a bit difficult and they seemed unaware of availability and dates... I'm leaving 2 stars because cabin was 1 star but rafting was like 3 stars for my experience We head there and the website address and directions are wrong and phone directions are worse. Due to bad weather we checked in and rafted with no wait We rented a cabin for $225 a night. The lock on door didn't work, there was graffiti all over walls. It seriously looked like a run down house in the hood. NOT A CABIN. It's not clean, furniture is really old and dirty. Bathroom smelled bad like urine. All beds were gross and covered in plastic and there were seriously 100's of flies and a large spider inside. The kitchen is green counters and really old with dishes and old food in cabinets. We almost left because we couldn't sleep there. No bedding is provided so bring your own. Rafting however was a good experience and we paid $125 for 2 adults and 3 kids. We will never stay here again. Camping may be a better experience and the public showers weren't bad but bathrooms... Ewww read more

Avoid this place at all costs. I called to cancel a trip planned next weekend and they refused to give a refund. I made the reservation over the phone and was never told about a "no refund" policy. Luckily, I used my discover and was able to dispute the charge. Management is unreasonable and I would highly recommend going to arrowhead or war eagle instead. read more

THIEVES! Find somewhere else to float! We made reservations for 9 in the morning, stood in line to check in until after 10, and then were overcharged by $90! The whole place was chaos and no one seemed to know what they were doing, I was shocked at how disorganized and dysfunctional everything was. When I contacted them to request a receipt for the trip I was told "oops, we overcharged you, but don't worry, we've applied it to your account for next time; sorry we don't do refunds..."!!!! We stayed at the Big Barn. Was clean and the upstairs was really nice with three air conditioners... but the bunk beds were ran down and sagging.. and there are only two toilets and two showers for a place that sleeps up to 36 people, on top of that the water ran black at first then smelled of sulfur... and had a small little stream of water... this was a nightmare for all of us to wait to go to the bathroom. The reservation process was a mess. Was told an amount and we paid it. Then we owed more money later and an additional $300 deposit that they said they would hold... but didn't, they ran my card. We still had a great time. But over priced for what you actually get. read more
