I don't even know where to start. I saw this restaurant on my maps app. They had good reviews on Google. So I thought I would try it, WHAT A MISTAKE! The young lady that greeted us had the personality of day old bread, kind of stale. There was a table of 4 and a table of 8. Two being kid's, and now us. 2. I thought this will not take long, boy was I mistaken. The table if 4 where just finishing up. And the table of 8. I thought we're finishing because the kids were still eating. Nope, they were bringing 1 plate at a time, for other 6. They forgot 1 of the 6, the person said don't worry about it. They just wanted to get out of there. A lady with purple hair, I assume she owned the nasty place half heartily made up excuses. Now are turn, took forever to take our order. We order - 1 breakfast sandwich, asked what type of bread, requested sourdough. Ham steak, eggs over medium, hash browns and sourdough bread. Order of Indian fried bread. What came 30 minutes later - Breakfast sandwich with rye bread that sat at the pass for 10 minutes, it was nasty. Ham luke warm, eggs over hard, microwave hash browns and sourdough bread, not toast. No butter, no jam. And least but not least, NO INDIAN FRIED BREAD. The you lady who sat us, also served us. Never came back to refuel our water cups Never checked on how the foods was. When she finally came, I told about both breads. She had a look of bewilderment. I said don't worry, no we are sorry no anything. Now last but not least- I used the restroom as my wife did. SAYING NASTY IS BE NICE!!!! THE WHOLE PLACE IS DIRTY. I COULD NOT GET OUT OF THERE FAST ENOUGH. When I go that way again. I'm going to speed up as I pass there. I stress, do not, I mean do not stop there! They need to be inspected by the county. read more

Delicious elk burger, perfect fries, huckleberry pie was tart and yummy with whipped cream which we had at home when we ate it later. Too pricey for regular eats, but worth it once in a while. Only complaint is half on us, as we were so tired and hungry that we forgot to ask for a medium burger and got cooked through. Fortunately the elk flavor carried through anyway. read more

Driven by this place a hundred times. Finally decided to stop and try it. Although the service was great and there was an adorable little girl there working with her mom, the food was average at best. Portions were big, but it was pretty much frozen food reheated. Fantastic family ambiance. I tell everyone I know, to stop at Eagle Crossing Restaurant if you find yourself staying at Kah-nee-ta Resort, or just passing through the rez. My daughter was in FFA in high school. We didn't make a reservation, but Brenda made room and accommodated the group on their way home from a competition. The kids slept well on the way home from filling their bellies at Eagle crossing. This is important to me as not all establishments would've accommodated a group the size of our FFA teams. Not sure what the other reviews are seeing - but this place is a health hazard. Undercooked food, salad was moldy - yes, red and moldy. French fries appeared to be cooked in year old grease and were so hard, you couldn't cut them. We were a party of six and not a single one of us could eat the food. Two of us order club sandwiches - both had clearly spoiled meat - slimy ham and turkey. We informed the server but was charged full price anyway. The cook looked like he was working out in a gym - no sense of hygiene at all. The menus and tables were dirty, sticky, etc. You barely could see out of the windows - they were so dirty. All over the restaurant were stacks of papers, dirty towels, etc. I've asked the Jefferson County Health inspector to investigate. I hope they do, certainly will need to shut this place down before someone gets really sick. read more

Stopped for a snack on our way to our cabin in Redmond. My husband had an Indian fry bread and said it was the best he had ever tasted. I had a cup of their chili. Delicious! The chili was really good and had ground meat and two kinds of beans. It was just the right amount of spiciness and was topped with chopped onions. We have stopped several times for coffee as we were passing through and that was good too. The decor is very "coffee shop" and neat and clean. It is a one off, family owned business. Blink and you'll miss this place! If you could, definitely stop by and grab some food. My husband and I got the Indian fry bread taco, a side of Indian fry bread, and some huckleberry milkshakes. Everything was AMAZING. I normally shy away from milkshakes being lactose intolerant, but damn, I'll gladly take the pain and suffering to have another milkshake. I served out a kind of crabby review yesterday to a place that was just mailing it in. So I'll serve out a nice review for these hard-working folks. First thing that was different, Yelp said they had Wi-Fi and they actually did have Wi-Fi, and it was pretty good! My basic breakfast of pork chops, hashbrowns and eggs was just fine. Best pie south of Mt Hood. Not too sweet and very viscous, great chinks of cherry. Their pancakes are amazing too. Bacon is delicious but a bit too thick for my taste. Stopped here on the way back to California and it was pretty good! The place looks janky on the outside and is right next to the highway so it's easy to miss. No indoor dining during covid times so it's just to go orders. If you plan on going here, I suggest calling beforehand because it took awhile for the food to come out. We ordered the elk burger, mushroom Swiss burger, and the Indian Fried bread. Each burger came with fries so we got one with the crinkle cut and one with the hand cut. I recommend the hand cut if you like your fries crispy, but the crinkle cut if you like them thick. The elk burger was so good. It was my first time trying elk meat and I definitely recommend it. The mushroom swiss was also very good. I wish they put a bit more sauce because the flavor was very faint. The Indian fried bread is literally a piece of fried bread that came with su am on sugar, jam, and butter. I am not a fan of fried food so this was not my cup of tea. When I walked into this restaurant all I could see was dirt. The windows ledges were loaded with dust and debris. The tables looked like they hadn't been washed in ages. After being asked to take a menu and seat myself I reluctantly ordered Then ... I needed to use the restroom. You could imagine what I saw. 1. The toilet made a clank noise when I sat down 2 the washroom smelled 3. It was very very dirty The urinal looked like it had not been cleaned for ever. You won't be left hungry if you eat here- portions are huge and delicious. For being on a long stretch of Highway, this is a really good pit stop. You'll find items on the menu that you won't see again for hundreds of miles like Elk sirloin and eggs. I had the Indian taco- a reservation comfort food that serves chili on frybread with vegetables. Chili has at least two kinds of beans, meat, and this whole thing was very filling. Great place to stop for breakfast. Super friendly and great food. We were traveling with our dog so we ate outside. The waitress brought out a bowl of water for the dog and made us feel very welcomed. FYI... gotta try the Indian fry bread and the huckleberry sauce. read more

Chances of me driving this route and coming to this restaurant are slim. We left the motel and weren't hungry. After being on the highway we realized the food options were going to be minimal when suddenly this restaurant appear.... we decided we'd better stop... if just for coffee and a donut. When it came, eggs were cooked perfectly, there were enough hash browns for four people and 6 slices of bacon, along with my toast. I ate my eggs and the crispy part of the has browns and enjoyed every bite. Instead of my usual 1 cup of coffee, I had 3. Coffee was good. My friend is a lighter eater and ordered 1 egg, 1 slice of bacon & 1 pancake. Again egg was perfect, I gave her a little of my bacon, but she got the biggest pancake I ever saw... and it was good. Served with regular pancake syrup as well as their own homemade berry syrup. Also, in the jelly basket I noticed little packets of apple butter... I have not seen this stuff in years...my friend put it on her pancake... the pancake that was so big, she got to taste all the toppings on different bites..lol This located on an Indian Reservation and I was tempted to buy so Indian Fry Bread to take to my daughter in law... but I remember it doesn't "travel" well. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the waitress told us in about an hour, after church, the place will be packed. So if you see this place in your travels... stop by, it's worth the stop. I have stopped here a few times, usually on my way to or from Burning Man. I had some of the best chicken soup ever at this place. Most recently I had an Indian Taco - chili, cheese, and onions on fry bread. The half-portion was enough for two meals, and it was tasty! When I arrive, before I sit down, I make eye contact with the staff, give a warm smile, and say hello, hows it going. I usually chat with the waitstaff about what to order. The fry bread is awesome - try it with honey - but you have to eat it on the same day, it's not food that lasts. I keep in mind that I am a guest on tribal land. Warm Springs is very short on food restaurants, and this happens to be the closest one not endorsed by the Kah-Nee-Ta Resort (which is the reason why I went here while staying at the resort). The menu showcases a whole gamut of options from sandwiches like a French Dip to pasta like fettuccine Alfredo. There is no clear offering except it has a little bit of everything. However "everything" is decent but far from any amazement. The customer service was fair and friendly. If I ever stayed at the nearby resort again, I would drop by again. My friend and I stopped at Eagle Crossing after returning to Portland from a roadtrip through eastern Oregon. We needed sustenance before entering a long stretch of Mt. Hood forest on the way back to Portland and found Eagle Crossing on Yelp. This place is no frills but very tasty! Warm Springs is a predominantly Native American town with the reservation right across the street. Lots of locals came through. Ambience is fun and low-key and food tasty! We were camping in the area and stopped here for breakfast on the way home. It was relatively slow but we were ignored when we walked in. Were told to pick a table and had menus tossed in front of us. Guy came back again to give us water and ask if we wanted anything to drink. Asked for orange juice and he said they were "fresh out" and walked away. We waited and waited and were never addressed by the waitress. She looked at us several times but never acknowledged we were there. We ended up walking out after 20 mins and no acknowledgment. My best friend & I were roadtriping to southern Oregon & we made it a point on try this place once & for all! I've passed this restaurant so many times going to Central/So. Oregon. I'm a sucker for the Native American Culture so this was a real treat for me. We stopped in pretty late, I want to say it was about 9pm? Not gonna lie, it's a little creepy but so exhilarating at the same time! We were immediately greeted & seated. We were the only two in there. We both ordered fry bread. While were waiting my friend & I decided to look at all the old photos framed & hung all over the restaurant. Beautiful photos of Native Americans; some in traditional regalia some taken of children from Indian School. Nonetheless we we're entertain & really enjoyed the photos. We got our fry bread--which was HUGE--it was nice, fresh & hot. It was a lot breadier & fluffier than others I've had in the past. Still very delicious fry bread. I also ordered coffee. I'm sad to say it was the worst coffee I've ever tasted. Maybe it was a bad pot or something but I couldn't even stomach it. The restaurant was clean. You can tell it's a family business, it looked like they set up office in the corner of the restaurant. The service was kind & friendly. Bathrooms very clean & spacious.
