In a time where it almost seems an unwritten rule that dark beers have to barrel-aged, filled with as many adjuncts as possible, and more than 12% alcohol, Eagle Park is creating stouts and porters that are insanely drinkable, flavorful, balanced, and almost always stick to one or two adjuncts. It's beer that to some might not be "innovative" or "edgy" enough, but by not going over the top or trying too hard, they're bucking a lot of trends in heavier beers and being more innovative than many other breweries out there. read more

Great brewery with a new location north of Brady street. I was able to try 3 of their beers and was thoroughly impressed with all of them. The Loop Station Golden ale was my favorite. The Raspberry Milkshake was also excellent, full bodied and fruity but not too sweet. They have a great space with both covered and uncovered patio seats. The food is unique, mostly burgers and sandwiches and quirky starters, like duck perogis. We tried the wings and thought they were great. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more of the food and beers. So far, a great new addition to the east side brewery scene. read more

This is a really cool brewery with a great selection of beer and food! I usually have a hard time enjoying breweries because there's only ever one or two beers that I like, but here there are plenty of options that I really enjoy. AND the food is good!! I have no idea what kinda beer black-magic is going on over here, but Eagle Park is churning out hit after hit on a regular basis. Fantastic New England style IPAs that could get in the boxing ring with Treehouse or Other Half, delicious cornucopia of fruity flavors in their milkshake (lactose added) IPAs, stouts ranging from boozy chocolate, to coffee, to the mouthwatering Booze For Breakfast maple. As if that wasn't enough, there is always a variety of beautifully colored Berliner Weisse, gose, or even a lavender and butterfly pea flower honey'd saison cause why the heck wouldn't there be one of those on the menu? I would come here for the beer alone, but the food is so damn good too. Highly recommend the addictive grilled cheese (not sure what Brazilian cheese is but I want it in my mouth) and the duck pierogis make me feel like a fancy monsieur while I'm sipping on tasty drinks. If you find yourself with a basket of Karate Fries, checkout the dipping sauce selection and try them all. Chocolate jalapeño? Yeah, you wanna dip your fries in that. Owners and staff are all friendly and talkative, and like good music. You do need to order drinks at the bar, but you can order food or cans/crowlers at the less crowded window, and they share the same info if you've already started a tab. Food and beer was pretty good. However the gift card system is pretty fraudulent. Gift card system is "down" and they can't get anyone to fix it. So how many people have wasted money buying gift cards that customers can't use. I'm sure they could find a way to honor gift cards in the meantime but I guess they don't want to and just want to keep your money instead. read more

I absolutely love this place! I love beer, I have served and sold 100s of styles and brewers all over the world. I love this beer! It's different, it's traditional, they have a style for everyone. The workers are friendly, calm, easy to ask for something. It definitely feels like everyone there wants to be there, loves the beer they are selling, and is motivated to make everyone happy. It's rare that you find a nice spot for a brewery, a beautiful interior design that's welcoming, and friendly staff. They're the whole package, TRY THEM! Cheers! read more

This place serves very average beer, but food is even worse. Don't order the nachos, $8.00 for small plate of chips with a thimble full of cheese and hardly any tomatoes and onions. Ballpark nachos for half the price blow these out of the water. Will not be back. read more

We have a Hop Passport and several (more than 10) breweries we have visited have told us ... eagle park is the best. They.. however.. are not in our passport.!? Anyway.. we decided to give them a try.. billy ray citrus.. good lord! Delicious.. citrusy.. light! We had 4 different beers and all of them were delicious ! Enjoyed their food as well.. I had the grilled cheese but we noticed others eating the nacho plate and chicken wings... yeah.. next time. Anyway.. super busy place but worth it. Beer is terrific! read more

Wow! I've stopped in a handful of times and continue to be impressed. Super fun tap list with some funky brews sprinkled through out. Their menu is heavy on the ipa and sour side, which normally wouldn't be my preference BUT this place really knocks it out of the park. Luckily, they serve flights so it's easy to sample. I've loved all of their milkshake ipas and was intrigued by their lavender/ earl grey beer; it's actually a grey/ blue color! I'd imagine they'll dabble more into stouts as the weather gets colder. Can't wait to see what they come up with! The beer is exciting, but I have to also mention the great space and awesome bartenders. Can't beat a spot with a patio in the summer, but even the inside space is great for groups. I'm part of a raucous running group and they happily hosted us both before and after one of our runs. They were very good to us and good humored about the whole thing. Nice to find a brewery that doesn't take themselves so seriously. Can't recommend Eagle Park enough. read more

I know that a sample size of 1 is not a true indication of how bad or great a given place is. I went there a few hours ago (Saturday at about 3:30pm) for my 2nd visit there. Max was tending bar. He's one of the co-owners. My buddy and I were the only ones in the place except for a few people in one corner. We had a nice chat with Max about beers and the different varieties served there. Jackson (the other owner) came in to greet us. He hung around for about 10-15 minutes talking about the beers and he gave me a tip to solve a problem I had during my own homebrewing that I'm anxious to try out. The place was nearly packed only 30 minutes later. Max ran the bar very efficiently, never appearing to make anybody wait any longer than necessary. I found the contrast of today's visit with my first visit to be incredible. I had a flight of 3 and one full beer today. All were good. The beers were very good, the service was excellent, and the place was hopping (get it? HOPping) with business. I'm glad we decided to give this place a 2nd chance. Despite my first review of a 1 star, I'm going to give this particular visit a 5-star rating. I can't really complain about much, but on a minor note, the men's room ran out of paper towels. Still, it was a 5-star visit. read more

There is just a rolling board above the bar that listed type and price. I just left this place and I'm not happy. I wanted to drink their beer tonight and sit out on their patio. But the service drove me out before I could order. I think this place has been open for a while so it's really quite remarkable how badly they handled the modest crowd. I walk in. Stand just behind the people sitting at the bar. The 2 bartenders have to serve and fill growlers which take forever. Apparently everyone at the bar was waiting for the growlers to be filled too because they all needed to order before me. Then I sit at the bar and 2 times the bartenders pass myself over and their older woman next to me and help people who already have ordered and finished their drinks, which myself and the woman clearly had not done. So I walked out. Not into the craft brewery so rugged and non conformist that we don't have to pay attention to managing the bar thing. read more

If you like hazy NE style IPAs, you will not find a better place in the Midwest. The taproom has a great feel and the patio is a great place to soak in some sun while enjoying a few libations. The food is just phenomenal. I had a Smashburger and it had so much flavor. The pickled mustard seeds and garlic mayo transformed a good burger into an amazing tasty experience. To drink, my favorites were the Peach Milkshake IPA and Big BOTMs (a 9% ABV milkshake). This place was absolutely packed on a Sunday but the bartenders (owners) didn't miss a beat and provided great service despite the crowds. If I lived in the Brady St area I would go here every day! read more
