With lack of cooperation from Diane Starr, we had to contact the owner of the property that that Starr managed to get them to pull strings so that they would do the job legally. All parties were extremely uncooperative and resistant to doing the job legally or in a timely manner. It was a royal nightmare. People that have moved into the property that they manage, don't stay very long because they can't get the company to perform necessary repairs. The latest tenant stayed only three months before they left out of frustration. If you are considering renting from them, just look at the reviews.

Since they were here before we moved in. I did at my own cost put grass in a yard that was only dirt to keep the flea problem away. Several repairs of extreme importance were ignored or not repaired timely. Communication with the owner of the company was bad at best. Emails went unanswered and they did not follow their own lease guidelines as to their responsibility to the tenant. Basic maintenance was not done on several occasions. Leaky faucets, siding in disrepair, fences falling down or broken, sewer lines backing up into our toilets and bathtubs for months, leaking roof for over a year that leaks every time it rains. Most recently the owner of this company refused to provide a copy of a cd of pictures I was supposed to get upon move in as to the condition of the property. Ordinarily I wouldn't write a review and I would just be glad to be done with this company but my hope is that by writing this review the company will try to improve their business practice with other clients and tenants in the future. I ended up contacting fair housing because the roof leaked in the garage for over a year. promises to come and assess the home to see the condition of the premises in January was never followed through with or scheduled. I hope that the next person who rents this particular home gets it with some much needed improvements done. I would suggest keeping screen shots and texts and emails as I have done. I hope that repairs are being made and flooring is being replaced prior to renting the home out again. The property was trashed. They did absolutely nothing to maintain the property. They gave the tenant "notices to clean" but nothing was monitored and it just got significantly worse. She also had a dog, which was never noted or noticed and stated no pets in the lease, stains all over the carpet, large holes in the walls covered up by "children's finger paintings", which was easily noticeable when I, the landlord, did a walk through. There was approximately $6,000 in damages. They also let my tenant leave without paying the last half of her rent, which she did not pay for at least a month after leaving my house with all the damages. They did do a good job of cleaning the property and contacting vendors, which I did appreciate. After all said and done, I go into their office to pick up keys and only the key to the house is returned to me. No mail key. I advised them that it was missing and they told me she just didn't return it and I'm shit out of luck. They seem like genuine people at the business but I will not be using them or recommending them in the future.
