I like this place a lot but their tendency to open all the windows when it's objectively cold outside is unconscionable. On several occasions I would have hung out for hours and spent more money if it hadn't been ridiculously cold. Otherwise - good friendly service and tasty (if a bit pricey) food. read more

I can't rave about this place enough. I had to order breakfast for 15 people, and the owners were so kind and lovely and accomodating, I almost wanted to check to see if they thought there were more zeros on the bill. The Balthazar pastries and coffee was great, and inside the shop, they have homemade sweet or savory tarts like grown-up Pop-Tarts. So delicious! Solid breakfast sandwiches with healthier options fresh ingredients, decent bread. Better than deli albeit a bit more expensive (but not too bad $5-8 for breakfast sandwiches). Nice place to sit but fast enough to grab a bite and go. Nice location too read more

Great new addition to the neighborhood! The layout and decor is done very well, its super bright and will prob be a great spot for coffee and lunch in the summertime. So far, I have had a breakfast sandwich and the oatmeal, both killer! Both times, i was there the staff have been very friendly! They also have beer to go. Eagle is a neighborhood gem. They have an excellent menu. When I work from home and on the weekends, I go to Eagle first thing for coffee and breakfast. I love this place! They have the best breakfast sandwiches with the freshest ingredients and delicious bread. Even their ketchup tastes better than usual. Their homemade fruit iced teas are the perfect beverage for summer days. Plus there's a bunch of other snacks/drinks you can buy, you can pick and choose from different beers and make your own six-pack for only $10. It really doesn't get any better than this. Brought my laptop over to do some work and have lunch on a weekday at noon. The staff is really friendly and the food / coffee are both really good. Coffee is fine though not the best in the neighborhood. Selling point is the breakfast sandwiches, which are a step up in quality from your standard deli variety, if that's what you're looking for. Orders can sometimes take a while to come out, might want to call ahead for takeout. read more

This is a good place for lunch. It had exactly what I was looking for: a decent selection of sandwiches and wraps, clean seating areas, fair prices for medium portions, and a casual vibe. The vintage decor was pretty cool. I'd come back here to try different sandwiches or maybe even just for coffee. Too bad they don't serve beer. They were possibly understaffed for a Sunday but I always expect extremely slow service in Booklyn so not the end of the world. Solid choice for a quick bite. Probably closer to a 3.5 but I am a tough grader. read more

If I could give more stars, I would. I had a problem with seamless delivery. Seamless entered my phone number incorrectly but ETC went above and beyond to make sure I got my order. On top of finding out my buzzer was broken these guys came multiple times to drop off my delivery. I really appreciate the persistence and my Avocado BLT of course was still delicious. The only reason I've been here a few times is because you can get that cute sit-down coffee shop experience but with real food, not just pastries. With that said...they have the payment system automatically set to a 20% tip which is really sleazy if you don't notice before paying. You're ordering at a counter and the staff isn't overly friendly so that's a huge rip. ALSO, the food is super sub par. Bagels have barely any cream cheese, caprese sandwich was very dry and you could barely even see the balsamic. That's just to name a few bad items I've tried, so overall I'd walk a few extra blocks for something better. read more

Nice relaxed atmosphere... Reminds me of Burlington VT. Food and beverage selections are plentiful and delicious... Lot of beer too! I tried all 3 types of home made pop tarts and was thoroughly impressed. When it's warm out they open the garage door windows. The chef/owner was delightful to chat with as well! read more

This is a great space. Very popular, so at times there is nowhere to park your bike, or no place to sit. I like their black iced tea because it tastes like tea and is not watered down. The breakfast sandwiches are great--much better than the others. The choice of bred makes a big difference. Anything on a baguette will just end up on your lap or on the floor. Very thin, hard baguette that allows the fillings to slide out. The coffee is good too! The wi-fi is terribly slow most days. Yesterday, I could not get on at all. I live on Eagle Street so am very excited to have this place closeby. I just had a delicious egg sandwich from here and the housemade ketchup was awesome. I hope they eventually stay open later than 6pm so I can grab a sandwich after work. They also have homemade poptarts, which is bad news for my wallet. read more

came here 2x. both around 2 or 3, got to sit down, not crowded at all. drinks are all really tasty. the atmosphere is quiet in general, but they play music a little louder, if you come to do work. Don't worry about it looking like a restaurant, you can sit on your computer for hours and sit on a a table, they don't confine laptop users here. ordered a tuna sandwich , it was good but not great. there was a lot going on in the sandwich, wasabi, golden raisins, not much mayo...and the second time we came, they had no more bread.
