At the beginning I really liked this place, they had free water with Lemons and Cucumbers, now its only tap water, they cut the Lemons and Cucumbers. they use to have a really good grilled cheese with red onions inside and and a side of a really good pickle. they cut the red onion and pickle, changed the bread and the price is 2$ more than it was. In fact all of the sandwiches came with a nice pickle, they cut the pickles. Now they sell a single pickle for 5$ - How can it be real?!! the sandwiches now are so dry, some of them doesn't even have a piece of a veg. And the prices went up. :-( read more

Honestly, I've only been here once and have to go back to try other sandwiches (perhaps it will get five stars out of me then!) We went here on Sunday because I'm tired of the typical all day brunch on the weekends thing. Both the iced coffee and espresso was smooth and not even slightly acidic - which I think is desirable. I definitely want to try more of their coffee/espresso beverages because lately, it seems tough to find coffee that isn't acidic. I had their tuna sandwich with apples and some other stuff (I think it's the first sandwich on their fish section.) Anyway, it was very tasty; it was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Apparently the chicken sandwiches are also delicious (my boyfriend had one and that's what he told me). There were so many options for me, which I really appreciate! I'm definitely going to have to come back and try more! The one, tiny problem was that there seemed to be no order as to who gets served. I was waiting in front of the cash register for awhile to order my cortado while people who were sitting at the bar (also came in after me) were getting served first. Perhaps the waitress with a lot of makeup just likes to serve men? Anyway, another, thoughtful waitress came by and took my order. I think she even took $0.25 off my drink so that makes up for it. The interior is open and welcoming thanks to the large windows they open on balmy days-- and the friendly staff as well. An added perk is that they do almond milk! When I first moved to the neighborhood I ordered from here constantly. Then one day I ordered delivery and my food was terrible. I called the manager to give feedback -- but it was the owner and he cut me off saying how he would only partially give me a refund and didn't really care to hear me out. I love this place!!!! After moving to Brooklyn from Long Island, I have been searching for the perfect egg sandwich. Nothing could beat an LI egg sandwich until now! This restaurant is just great. Amazing food, delicious spicy tomato soup! Love their Arnold Palmers too. I also love ordering avocado on my bacon cheddar egg sandwich... the avocado is always perfect, never chunky or dark green/brown, always always fresh which is really important. This place is a greenpoint gem! This morning I wanted a place to have coffee, eat breakfast, and where I can use my laptop a for a couple of hours. Instead of the usual suspects: Little Neck Outpost & Budín, I decided to venture to the most northern part of Greenpoint. It's not my first time at Eagle Trading but I'll admit I always forget that it's up there. Luckily Yelp reminded me today. The place is spacious with communal style seating, bar like seating along the windows and also separate tables for groups of four. It's the type of place where you order at the counter and they bring you your food. They're only open until late in the afternoon so their menu consists of salad, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. My go to is their Wasabi Tuna Salad sandwich. The wasabi isn't spicy but it tastes like wasabi. Why I like it. It also has onions which would usually bother me but in this sandwich it doesn't. I actually think it makes it better. They also have free wifi so it was exactly what I was looking for! They make their own coffee as well, and it's yummy! read more

2 blocks from my apartment, I discovered this gem had opened shortly after I moved to the neighborhood! And I'm so happy i did, I have tried every coffee place in the north brooklyn over the past year and a half and many in manhattan, and this is sincerely the best espresso/soy latte/dirty chai I have ever had in my life. Rich flavorful delicious high quality beans. Lovely comfortable little spot with wifi and garage style windows for a great breeze, good music playing, and a cute old school feel. Have spent countless hours hanging out here and gone through an embarrassing number of loyalty cards (which means tons of free coffees!). They just expanded their menu and now have countless tasty sounding lunch and breakfast options. All the soups and sandwiches/salads I've tried are excellent, really good rolls too- I think from Balthazar. My favorite is the tuna made with apples and sultanas. A super nice and knowledgeable staff as well. Once they messed up my sandwich and the adorable chef gave me 2 of any snacks for free. I'm so glad it gets so busy now (despite longer wait times!) and receiving the recognition it deserves finally! Would recommend it to everyone, it's worth a walk for anyone visiting the neighborhood and even if you live closer to mccarren - better than all the sandwich/coffee spots up there! read more

Having recently moved to the area, a few people told me to check them out for a good breakfast sandwich. After a few tries, I now realize how much I miss the little hole in the wall spot I used to go to up in Astoria. The sandwiches aren't bad, they're just not worth what you pay, and they always come on the wrong bread, no matter what kind of bread/roll I order. The service has been indifferent and the sandwiches are only so-so. I think I'll keep looking for a new go-to breakfast sandwich spot. read more

I live on Eagle and finally was able to try this spot when I had some friends in town. I will definitely be back. Super friendly staff, great menu options, and it's affordable. The food is high quality and they have a lot of delicious options. The chai tea is delicious! We got a few of the breakfast sandwiches, and all three of them were great, so you can't go wrong. The food here is pretty unremarkable. I had a Boar's Head-esque ham sandwich with brie and allegedly horseradish-infused mustard on a baguette.
