For several months, the staff has worked tirelessly to find the right fit for her... she is not suited for independent living nor the memory care, so they have recommended a sort of "middle ground " solution ,,, classic assisted living as the proper atmosphere for her needs. My point in mentioning this is to show that the staff has taken great interest and has really gone above and beyond to make sure things work out for her. They have not pressured us into making any quick decisions. They really do care about their future residents. Mom has visited PL several times in an effort to make her comfortable and familiar with the facility, always being treated kindly and with great respect by all staff. We are currently working closely with case manager Laura Rutowski. Laura has been responsive, kind, professional, and all around great to deal with. She always goes above and beyond to answer questions and resolve any issues and concerns, including dealing with a few unhinged family members! The transition from home to assisted living is a very difficult one for the resident and family, particularly those closely involved in caretaking. Laura and the entire staff have offered invaluable advice on how to manage this big life change successfully and make the change a happy and rewarding next chapter. Aside from the amazing staff, the facility is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The majority of reviews of Peconic Landing are overwhelmingly positive, and we agree based on personal experience. Don't let a few disgruntled individuals who submit reviews turn you away from Peconic Landing. It is truly top-notch.

Director of Community…read moreRelations Nancy Waldman gave us a thorough tour and provided continued feedback until Dad relocated from his Old Bethpage home of 55-plus years. The accommodations are impeccable. Warm, homey and immaculate, The Residences feels like a community. The kind and caring staff provide excellent support and service, from the event coordinators and directors to the wait staff and other helpers. My 8 year old and her friends love to visit. We've enjoyed concerts and dinners with Dad, and he's gone to lectures, movies and other events. Only wish I were 88!

My husband and I have both of my parents plus his Father all living at Spring Meadows. They've all…read morebeen there several years now, and it's been a great place for the 3 of them to live. My Father in law has an apartment in Independent Living while both of my parents now live in the Memory Care unit. So we've experienced two different levels of need based care. I've found that the Spring Meadows staffers are very good. The nurses, the aids and even dining room staff really seem to care about the residents and try to make the difference to keep them engaged and make sure they're well cared for. I'll also add that the office staff and the general manager coordinate very well with us, the family members, to help with the details involved of having an aging parent who needs the assistance of this kind of facility. They are always helpful and respond promptly if I call with questions or requests. It's been a blessing to have my parents be able to live at Spring Meadows and get the good care that they need.

The nursing care, physical therapy, social work, recreational therapy as well as nutrition staff went above and beyond!
