The crust had a nice crunch tonit. But this review is for the kindness they showed us while we were waiting for AAA. Stopped to charge the Tesla on our way home and stopped in to see what was on the menu. Very clean establishment with a mountain country feel to it. Their menu has pizzas, sandwiches, and burgers as well as pastas (after 5). They have a traditional salad bar that looked delicious and well stocked. They also offered home made soup. Staff was friendly and I could tell the place was well taken care of. We ordered a large vegetarian pizza and a cauliflower crust pizza. Super excited to see a gluten free option. Pizza was delicious. Crunchy bottom but also just perfectly soft. Good each. Large was more than enough for my husband myself and 17 year old. The pizza is a mystery. I ordered take out. First thing I noticed is the pizza is very heavy. Crust is dense, lacks sour dough flavor, thick, veggie are diced maybe frozen, meat toppings sparce for a combo. Does not digest well. Be cautious the pictures may not match the product you receive. Arrived at 7:45pm , after my grandson's football game. Initially the young lady helping us mention they would be closing at 8:00. Before I could say ok make it to go the RUDE owner informed us she would "make it to go so we could leave"!!! Inquired about a salad and was informed that they have salad"but just put it away, so no". Husband took his small pizza and we came home. He said it was okay, not great. About 1:00am he got very sick and threw up for the next 2 hours. Still nauseous as I write this at 8:30am. We will NEVER come back here!!!! This place is a Cottonwood institution and quite frankly, it's not great pizza. You come because it's comfortable and familiar. You come because it's the only place in town. The pizza is always the same, so is the salad bar, the burger, sandwiches, all of it. It is very reliable. If that's your flavor, this is the place. The problem is that there is always at least one person there that is downright rude. We're already being gouged by their overly inflated prices for mediocre pizza, but when you are the only customers on a Saturday evening, you can choose to be friendly and even accommodating for loyal customers. I called to ask about reservations( 8-9 people)and closing time. I was treated very unprofessionally. I feel a little bad about leaving this review, but when things aren't great, they aren't great! I went to Eagles Nest Pizza yesterday and I will not be back. Ever. I also would like to say that I do not speak for the entire group I was there with. First off, "service" was underwhelming. I ordered a small pizza and a couple salads. The lettuce was wilted as it was very warm in the restaurant. Plus it was the end of the day, so not the freshest batch. I ate what I could because I hadn't eaten since breakfast and I was hungry. It didn't settle well. I was only able to eat a couple bites of pizza. It just wasn't very good. I will add that I'm not a big pizza fan to start with, so keep in mind that this review comes from a picky eater. So this is only my opinion. I asked for a side of ranch to help make it more edible but they wanted $1.50 more. This was after I gave a 20% tip for counter service. I said forget it, but a well meaning friend went up and paid for the ranch. It tasted like it was made with miracle whip. Again, not everyone shared my dislike for it. So I didn't end up eating any more. I do wish I could get my $40+ I spent back. I went home and ate dinner since I was still very hungry. I do not recommend Eagles Nest Pizza. Ive been wanting to try this place for awhile but have been so hesitant. November 2024 I called to make a to go order & the conversation over the phone was so vile i hung up and drove to west wood village. Today i was at holiday picking up sandwiches for my kids & decided i would attempt this place again. I called and had a couple questions but with each one I sad cut off and just felt like I was bothering her. I asked if they had a chicken bacon ranch pizza and she rudly said " We don't have bacon!". I said okay and got the "Eagles Combo" large pizza. The pizza has no flavor? Like none! Its supposed to have salami, pepperoni, sausage, ect and there was 4 pieces of salami across the whole pizza. The bread is very dry and gives home-made vibes. Not awful, but not good. I will not be returning. 28$ out the door isn't a bad proce, but the pizza just wasn't good. Not even a little. Decor: 3 stars Food: N/A Rudeness: OFF THE CHARTS! I wish I could tell you about their food but I never got that far. I was passing through town and wanted to stop in for lunch, and I had a bike on my car rack which I didn't want to leave unattended so I brought it in the restaurant with me. I barely took two steps before I hear "NO BIKES!" screamed at me from behind the counter. Of course, if the place was packed and there was clearly no room for a bike inside I would not even think to bring it in, but this place is HUGE. I'd say they can easily fit 100 people in the dining room, and there were maybe 5-10 people there at this time. And there are all sorts of empty corners where a bike would not be in the way of anyone. But they just kept screaming "NO BIKES!" and referenced a sign on the door which I didn't see but I'm guessing read "NO BIKES!" I understand full well what it's like to operate a retail food business, and that many things might not be obvious to customers but are they way they are for very legitimate reasons. If they said something like, "Sorry, we don't allow bike in here because..." that would be totally fine but where they don't get the benefit of the doubt is when they scream and act like jerks. So we went to Holiday Market in the same shopping center to get sandwiches, which we ate at the picnic table in front of the store. Great Experience! 5 stars! I suggest be more engaged with the pizza, sell the ingredients, the best pie! If the staff is unhappy, distracted then it shows. The pizza...the crust was tasteless, a new receipe is needed, the sauce needed more of a tomato flavor with a bit of zing, no zing, & to the edge of the pie, toppings were diced - leave them whole so we can see what were getting. For the pizza: Love love love the crust. I'm not worried about soggy crust, even after driving the 20min home with take out. All the toppings seem fresh and have been tasty. We have tried the all meat, combo, veggie, and a custom topping. For the sandwiches: we have had the Patty melt, burger, Turkey, and pizza sandwich. All were good and HUGE except the pizza sandwhich. The problem I found with the pizza sandwhich was that they don't toast the bread first, so the sauce just soaks in immediatly and causes it to be very soggy. I'll ask next time to see if they can accommodate this. For the salad: Salad bar was pretty good. Everything was fresh and cool. Veggies weren't dried out from sitting, and plenty of choices to build yours. Service is excellent. They are fast and kind. Any questions they answer the best they can. I wish they had some background music playing low, think it might help the atmosphere a bit, but other than that, atmosphere was fine. Will definetly keep coming back for more. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant yesterday and ordered a large chicken pineapple pizza and a bowl of chicken chowder soup. We were r both really hungry and so we started to dig in. We paid almost $40 for this meal and we're we very disappointed. The pizza was hard, cold, and tasteless! Could hardly bite the crust it was so hard. So I took a spoon and tried to just eat the topping by scraping it off with a spoon. It was still terrible but I was so hungry that I went ahead and ate it anyway. My husband could hardly believe how much money he had paid for this crap. We felt we had been entirely ripped off. We will never ever go there again!!! And the owner was very unfriendly. I'm sure glad I didn't leave a tip. Don't go there it's awful!!! What a waste of time and money!!! I don't know how they can stay in business!!! Something for everyone, but the classics can't be beat. The name says pizza, but Eagle's Nest has the best burger in the county. Their salad bar is incredibly fresh and homemade sides and dressings that will make you come back night after night. We frequent this restaurant multiple times a week. Revisted place because it was close by, BUT knowing what I knew three (3) years ago, I should have stopped in Red Bluff, CA @ Little Caesars and received a pizza more qualified calling itself a pizza. I guess I am spoiled when it comes to pizza establishments, living half time in Chicago & San Francisco. We order a large pepperoni & bell pepper, and Hawaiian Pizza, the following what was wrong with both pizzas: Pepperoni/bell peppers = the pepperoni was no taste, it tasted old and not fresh, the green peppers were slices so thin (like skinny toothpicks, cheese was poor quality too and the crust definitely poor quality and the tomato sauce was bland needed orogeno and garlic (they need to go back and learn to provide a quality product. Hawaiian pizza: Ham had no flavor and cheese was poor quality too and the crust definitely poor quality, pineapple slices were not Sweet. For the price we paid for a large and medium WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE! I do not mind paying for good quality food but this place was poor three(3) years ago and still poor quality food. It would be worth driving to Redding! Tried to contact manager when we arrived at our destination and told she wasn't there. Save yourself some time and quality food GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Went to Eagles Nest on Friday night. The place was hopping. So nice to see the locals supporting! We ordered the all meat pizza with BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce and added pineapple. It was amazing. This pie of deliciousness has 7 (yes, seven) kinds of meat: pepperoni, salami, ham, fresh ground beef, Italian sausage, linguisa and chicken. They do not skimp on the toppings - the whole pie was covered. The crust was crispy and tasty. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and she was bouncing from table to table.
