I have been here twice so far (new to the area) and so far I love what they have to offer! I have tried the giant cinnamon bun, the cherry donut, the jam doughnut and the classic chocolate glazed!! All were fluffy and sweet (but not too sweet) and at an unbeatable price! I also have gotten Thai Iced Tea and I can't believe how inexpensive that was as well, boba included! Glad to know I can get my boba fix not too far from where I live. Also, I got their breakfast sandwich and it was *chefs kiss* delicious. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get a quick sandwich, drink, treat or all of the above. This place is just okay. I tried the apple fritter, blueberry cake, and lemon filled. Though the apple fritter was large, it wasn't that great. The texture was crispy on the outside but tasted burnt while the inside was almost mushy. My daughter, who loves apple fritters said it was disgusting lol -she will eat just about anything sweet so if she hated it, that says a Whole Lot. The blueberry cake had a overpowering artificial taste that I just couldn't do- also left a weird aftertaste that wasn't pleasant. The star was the Lemon filled, which was light and yummy. It was 10pm on a Wednesday and we suddenly got a craving for something sweet. But everywhere we checked was closed!!!! EXCEPT EARL'S DONUTS. Earl's donuts did not disappoint. A variety of beautiful and delicious donuts displayed. We also got some nice cold milk to accompany our treats. They were fresh and reasonably priced. Earl's has become very disappointing since the previous owner passed away. Not to long ago I called on the phone to find out the price for a dozen donuts for a party at my daughter's school. I was quoted $15.99 per dozen. When I came in to order, they tried to charge me $17.99. I explained how I had called & was quoted $15.99. The woman told me it's because I wanted all glazed donuts & they're more expensive than assorted. Explain the logic there. I swore I would never come back here, but it's convenient so I decided to give them another try. My son & I came in last week for an early treat before school & we had no issues at all. This morning we came in & ordered the exact same thing as last time & they charged us $0.50 a cup for water. After sitting down & eating, we noticed there were brown pieces floating in our waters. Mind you, I only put the straw in mine, I never drank from it, & there were lids on the cups, so there is no way food from our donuts could have fallen in. My son took the waters up to the register & the woman told us it was donuts from when we were eating our donuts & then drinking our water. Looks can be deceiving. From the outside, this looks like just another run of the mill doughnut shop (yes, doughnut. They sell dough, not do). But once you walk in, you quickly see that they sell some really fun treats. Like doughnuts with various cereals on top or a bacon maple doughnut with a huge delicious piece of bacon on top. Friendly staff and reasonable prices round things out. There are plenty of doughnut shops in the area, but things like this are what will keep me driving an extra few blocks to Earl's for my morning doughnut fix. read more

Be aware that the workers at this place do not follow basic hygiene guidelines! I went there this morning. When I got there no one was on the counter but I could hear how something was being scrubbed and cleaned (which I assume was the floors) on the back of the store, which is not visible to the customers because there is a wall that divides the front and the back. One of the worker ladies came from the back to the front and took my order. I ordered a omelette bagel and an omelette croissant which she started making right away but I notice that she did not change her gloves to prepare my food. I tried to just ignore it, giving the benefit of the doubt that she may not be dealing with cleaning but other stuff, like preparing food on the back prior to taking my order. But then, other customers started to arrive to the store and two more ladies came from the back to attend and take those other customers orders. The other two ladies were not wearing gloves, neither at any moment washed their hands before making other people's orders. That's when it became clear to me that none of them wash their hands prior to manipulating food and serving the customers. Even when I paid, the same lady that made my order, who was wearing gloves took my payment and with the same gloves processed my payment touching my credit card and the credit card machine with the gloves on. I stayed looking at the donuts on display just to see if she was going to do the same with the next customer and I saw she did not bother to change her gloves to take and make the order for the person that was behind me next in line. I worked in the service industry for 15 years and this kind of things are hard for me not to notice. read more

Anybody in the valley that knows doughnuts, knows of Earl's! Earl's doughnuts are light and fluffy, and especially fresh if you stop by in the late afternoon. They stake claim to be the originator of the "Cronut", and also offer an incredible Blueberry Cake doughnut as well. IMHO what really sets them apart from the rest is their Buttermilk doughnut. They're freshly glazed, and right out of the oven around 5-6 PM on most days. The doughnut is an eclair shape with the just right amount of glaze to accent its' extremely creamy and buttery flavor. Lately, I have been hooked on their Apple Fitter which is your typical giant doughnut. Don't judge a donut place by its storefront! I was surprised & delighted with the quality of the assortments! The chocolate donuts had a thick, cakey texture and were not dry on the inside. Drove out to earl's cause I've read good things. Donuts are pretty ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. What prompted the low rating for me was the rudeness of the man working the counter. The older latino man working when I came in was extremely rude. Whenever i would tell him what I wanted for my dozen box order, he replied with a "what?!" Loudly and angrily (with a scowl) so that other people could hear (they were staring). When I asked him how much the total was, he shook his head and replied with "whatever, $10" (he didn't even enter it on the cash register. I said no other words to him besides my order and asking for the total. The first time I went in here, they were so rude to me that I remember thinking to myself that I would never ever come back. That was 7 years ago. After I got into my car, opened up the box of 13 donuts (you get one free if you buy a dozen), and shoveled them into my mouth one at a time, I was addicted to these donuts and it no longer mattered how rude they were because an addiction is an addiction!
