Have wanted to try this place for a while now and finally broke down and went for a baker's dozen. From beautiful fritters , strawberry, blueberry and even Nutella filling in some of these beauties. I got some of everything, including an Oreo frosted delight. There are lots of chain shops and lots of average donuts that usually are a disappointment. For essentially the same price I got a cut above and couldn't be more pleased. Shared most of them with housemates but kept the Nutella beauty for my self. Light and airy this pastry is fabulous. Skip the chains, give local Buisness support and you will be rewarded with something quite special and well worth the fair price. Highly recommend anytime the mood might strike. Get one or a box, promise you will be happy. read more

If you want a damn good donut without costing an arm and a leg, come here. Donuts were fresh, flaky and fluffy. Iced coffee was delicious and half the price of a starbucks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

It has a rough humor "boys will be boys" in the morning around 4am is when I come here. I've come here to this location many times off in on during the last 10 years. I always seem to get more than I paid for because this mom and pops location tends to drop a donut hole of a whole donut in any transaction. I've used my card almost every time and without fail I haven't had any unwanted charges. This company is loyal to their customers and I truly respect that. The donuts though are a hit and miss. The out of this would type donuts always seem so fresh but yet when I ask for a plain donut they don't appear to be fresh and I love a plain more than a sprinkle any day. I don't like that anyone can grab a cup and get a French vanilla, cappuccino, or a hot chocolate by themselves. Heavy populated by the homeless community and they can also touch the cups. I feel like the cups should be handed from behind the counter. read more

Sugar donuts are the tried and true test of the quality of a donut shop. If a donut shop can make this most basic type of donut right, then it is highly probable that they are worth several faithful visits. The Donut Shop has very good customer service! The interior is clean and they have a great variety of donuts and other pastries. They charge 50 cents if you pay with your debit card, but the prices seemed fair. The sugar donuts here had a light texture as they should; however, early in the morning, they had an under taste/ smell of over used oil! Just a little! Also, a tad bit salty. I know that salt is used in baking to activate yeast, but too much of it in sweet pastry ruins the balance. Other than that, everything was fine. read more

One the best donut shops in the valley. This is one of two of my go to donut shops around the Northridge area. I wish they had longer hours when I crave donuts late into the evening. Their Apple fritter isn't overly sweet which I prefer nor is it too hard and dense. The batter they use to make their donuts I find tastes better than others in the area. Service is great and kind. read more

It wasn't Sunday Funday but Saturday and we were just in the mood for some sweet dessert. They had a good selection to pick out from and we picked out a few donuts. Every one we bit into was very fresh and flavored right and not to overly sweet with sugar. I just ate at The Munch Box or I would've tried a Ham & Cheese croissant. read more

Can we just take a hot second to discuss how fabulous this little mom and pop donut shop is? I had originally been planning to schlep all the way to Dunkin, but then realized this was right around the corner from where I live. So glad I tried them out!! Not only did I just have the best donut I can recall ever having (seriously, that Oreo donut... OMG), but I was pleased to see they also carry bagels, can make sandwiches (even veggie ones!), have fresh fruit cups, etc. And they were nice! This place is a total gem and while I'm excited to return, my skinny jeans are not. ;-) read more

We used to enjoy this donut shop all the time. Especially when we would come into La to work and needed a quick bite. This morning the cashier charged us for our order, so we proceed to leave. He yells out hey you have to pay for that. Confused my husband explained we just paid, the cashier says you ordered a bagel not a combo. Now here's the problem. If you do not pay attention they will charge you for each item ala carte. A $7.50 combo is nearly $13.00. Then has the nerve to tell me he knows he charged me more but we didn't order correctly. How many times a day does he trick people and over charge them? How many times does he not make sure his GUESTS are not in the best interest and confirm, would you like a combo? Not a good practice and to the point he made me cause a scene while confronting him. Shame on him for these practices read more

A very spontaneous trip to this donut shop up the San Fernando Valley at West Hills. Yep, stuck on the local street headed to the 118 Freeway I made a quick turn into the tiny plaza hoping to go inside a 7-11 store for snacks, but instead walked into the donut place next door. I was nicely greeted by the owner as I walked inside. A very nice person. He had a great selection of donuts along with one of my greatest weaknesses... the Apple Fritters! The donuts are baked fresh from what I saw. I originally only wanted a bagel along with a coffee to go, so I won't fall asleep in traffic (had a full day of meetings). But I guess my who plan changed. I bought a dozen donuts with a couple of Apple Fritters. The dozen was $9.00 and an Apple Fritter was about a couple bucks. So, he gave me ten donuts with two Fritters for an additional $1.90. Yeah, I went for that. The Fritter was to the point. Very delicious! Better and bigger than Sbux whenever they have it in their display case. The donuts I picked a variety with the majority glazed and maple bars. Fresh, probably baked during the morning. I dare to say this place is better than a few other places I've randomly been to. I would go back if I'm in the area should I want to satisfy my sweet tooth. A good place to get a sugar high. It's a very small parking lot so be aware of that. There's a long line but it moves very quickly. The employees are very efficient and nice. I was very indecisive and kept adding donuts last minute but the guy was very nice to me. It was about $35 for about 1 1/2 boxes. I got specialty donuts like ones with Fruity Pebbles and ones that were maple and bacon. I got a couple of green tea glazed donuts that I wish I had more of green tea flavor. I also tried the croissant with cream cheese and strawberry that I wish was a little more moist. read more

Just started coming here not to long ago. I'd say I've been here about 8-10 times. The donuts are AMAZING!!! I'm a sucker for Old Fashioned and Buttermilks and they don't dissapoint!!! Like everyone, I like to read other yelpers reviews. The ones that are complaining really don't have anything to complain about. They just want someone to hear them cry. LOL read more

A friend recommended we try this shop and we weren't disappointed. My daughter is the donut lover and she was in heaven. I shared a crumb cake with her and it was one of the best I've had. At 6pm there was still a wide assortment to choose from and everything tasted fresh. The gentleman at the counter was very nice. Not much more you can ask for for a donut shop. read more

The service itself is decent. I have ran into baristas sometimes that are more so apathetic, but I mean I guess how enthusiastic can you be about making coffee. The vibes are great, but this place is always packed so secure your spot early.

I did not try their coffee but I wanted a coffee shop…read morewhere I could chill and work on stuff but they only had metal chair chairs and basic tables nothing comfortable so I left. Other wise staff was friendly and seemed like service was good just didn't stay to try their product.

It's an ideal Café - nice people ( employees and customers ), a simple menu, a clean look, and good service. We grabbed a hot Salted Butterscotch Oatmilk Latte, an iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte, and a Cortado. All three were fan-flavor-tastic with great aromatics. The sandwich selection was simple but appetizing: Egg Salad, Turkey & Cheese, and Mortadella with Pesto and Mozzarella. The lady at the counter suggested the Turkey, but once my wife saw the Mortadella offering, it was a closed deal. Their sandwiches are made in house, built with good proportions. The proteins in all three were generous while the bread was hearty and fluffy. Just the right amount of sprouted greens, dressing, and cheese for the mortadella. Grabbed an egg sandwich to go. Prices were fair and comparable, quality was high, and the customer service was pleasant and conversational. Coming back here again.

The first thing to mention is that the folks who run this place are super friendly and nice. The second thing to mention is that the drinks are delicious! Last but not least, the setting is beautiful, outdoor tables with fountains and bees buzzing around... just delightful! There's limited parking, if it gets busy you may have to park on the street and have a short walk in. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the food items.

And you can see the beautiful Chatsworth Rocky Mountains in the background as well. There are a few drawbacks. The parking stressed me out. It's on the busy Topanga street and the lot inside can only hold about 5 cars. A few times when I have turned in, it was so tight and hard to get out. Another time there was no parking and Topanga was packed with cars for an event at the nursery. I parked probably a half a mile a way and walked into the nursery to get my coffee. They had a huge line and warned us they were backed up about a half an hour. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. On the weekends it can get so busy. I really enjoy their drinks. They have so many to choose from. The guys are very knowledgeable about the flavors and offer great suggestions. When I first started going though my drink was $8 and now it's $10. It's just hard for me to want to spend $10 for my coffee and it's gone so fast because it has a lot of ice. At other places, sometimes I will get two coffees but at this price I would not do that. So unfortunately even though I love this place o won't be going as often as I was. I was going once or twice a week but now I will only do it on special occasions because of the cost. One other drawback is the inconsistency of times. I checked the hours and twice I went when it said they were open and they were not. So it was just a little frustrating and then I had to come up with an alternate plan for me and my friends to meet. I like this place but I just definitely will not be going as often as I was at all.
