I got really negative vibes at Earl's. I'm a teacher and was trying to get my kids donuts for doing well in class. So I yelped donuts and Earl's popped up. When I came in I asked how much a dozen was and the lady said $10.75. Perfect-- I had a $10 dollar bill and some change. I asked if they give teacher discounts (assuming they may smile and throw in a couple donut holes), instead I got a firm "no." Okay..........so I start ordering my dozen...and after 3 long donuts she stops me and says, "you can't just order the big ones. That will be more." And I was super turned off at this point; I don't mind paying extra, but why didn't you say that to begin with? I say, "okay, you didn't say that," to which she responds, "I didn't say it, but that's what it is." As this point I was just over it and said never mind about the dozen, just buying the 9 that were already in the box. I asked if she was the owner and she said yes...donuts are cheap to make and donut shops make their money off of loyal customers. With an attitude like that, I def won't be returning. There are plenty of other donut shops who may have a teacher discount...or at least a positive attitude lol read more

I've never actually written a bad review, but I felt I HAD to share my experience. We walked in & in the top shelf of the case on the right was a big tray of glazed donut holes & on top of this mound of donut holes was a HUGE mosquito...I pointed to it to show the guy behind the counter & said "I think you're going to want to throw this batch away" he then grabbed a piece of wax paper & picked the mosquito out of the donuts. I repeated myself & he said "oh it's because the door is open" FYI: it was dead, not alive. I contemplated leaving, but I thought maybe he was waiting til he took our order before he handled it. I went to the case on the left & ordered a couple donuts. My friend was taking forever to decide...once we walked outside, she told me that she couldn't decide because there were a bunch of little bugs on the 2 bottom shelves of the left case. We actually hung out outside the front door for about 10 min or so to see if he'd throw away those donut holes & NOPE! I was SO embarrassed!! I took my friend there for the 1st time because I used to go there many years ago & always had good experiences. I'm SO grossed out. How could they have a grade A?? Why didn't he care? Why wasn't HE embarrassed? Why didn't he throw that damn batch of donut holes away? Now someone is going to eat those!! Yuck read more

The BEST! Always the best! Chocolate Chocolate Old Fashioned is hands down the greatest donut on earth, crispy edges, warm, and moist! Mmmmmmm! Sweet people too. They kept Earls the same! When I was a kid my Dad would take me here every weekend, when Earl himself was there! I have enjoyed Earl's Donuts for many years, but I will probably not go out of my way to visit again. I drive across the valley to go to Earl's, so it is disappointing to show up and find out that they are out of most of the donuts that my family and I like. This has happened on the last 2 vists, and the most recent was Father's Day morning. All they could say is, "sorry, we've had a busy day." Really?! You didn't anticipate that Father's Day would be a busy day?! They didn't even offer a time that a new batch of donuts would be ready. This is the 2nd time that this has happened in the last month, so it makes me wonder if there has been a change in management. Out of all the years that I have been coming here, I have not experienced this before. It's kind of strange to me that it's happened twice in the last month. Fortunately, thanks to Yelp, I found a closer donut shop that had a full selection of donuts, and the glazed donuts were so fresh, they were still warm. i am not really a donut person, but i swear earl's is the best!! they have the best cinnamon rolls (no cream cheese though) that are big, as well as apple fritters. i was able to get 3 cinnamon rolls, 3 apple fritters and a free donut for 7.50. my family also loves their apple fritters because they are more apple flavored than most places. the people that work there are nice too. i came in on a saturday morning and this place was packed with all sorts of people. read more

I love this donut store. Luckily it's not one of those locations that has a "night window" or bullet proof glass. It's fairly clean and bright inside.
