Hungry after work today, I swung by Earl's Rib Palace. With a name like that, ribs were a must, so I went with the Earl Plate. 2 meats, 2 sides. I ordered pork ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, and potato salad. The mac and cheese was Spot on. Classic, cheesy. The potato salad, though, was wild. More of a coleslaw/potato salad mashup. Different. Not my thing, but I'm not mad at it. The brisket was the real letdown. Chewy, kind of bland. You'll either need to drown it in sauce or skip it altogether. The ribs, on the other hand, came through. My pulled pork potato was massive. The pork was very tasty and tender. It definitely needed more butter and sour cream though. My husband's ribs were really good. The deviled eggs were made with sweet relish, which I don't love. The coleslaw was weird tasting. My potato has ended up being 3 meals for me. read more

I'm a rib snob. You better bring a great rib to make me happy. Since it's literally on the name I was hopeful. Really can sum this meal up as bland. Ribs were cooked fine, tender enough. Just had no flavor. I prefer a dry rub to slathering in sauce. Unfortunately I had to use more sauce then I would have liked. Even then it was ok at best. Green beans were flavorless. 9 times out of 10 I will get the smoke stack with fried okra. Occasionally I will stray and get the plain pulled pork or bologna sandwiches. I'm down in Oklahoma frequently so this was not my first time at Earl's. I allow myself one bbq visit a trip and try to switch it up. Earls was close to the hotel I was staying at so I figured I would just go there. It's hard for me not to get ribs at a bbq spot, especially a place called the 'rib palace' I went for the Rib Dinner which was moderately priced at $13.95 I believe. It came with corn on the cob and and a big baked potato with about 4-5 ribs I believe The ribs were super tender and pretty much fall of the bone. I could never eat a full slab of those so the dinner was perfect and affordable. Service was fine and the waitress was attentive and very nice. I had sweet tea that was also delicious. I should have opted for some cobbler to go but I just couldn't think of eating anything else I recommend earls as a good stop if you're in okc. Sometimes I just forget how good their BBQ is! Had the Smokestack Sandwich with fried okra and they did not disappoint! Loaded with chopped brisket, hot links, and coleslaw, I could only eat half the sandwich! Their in-house BBQ sauces come in Mild or Hot but you can ask for their FIRE sauce, which is made with Ghost Pepper. Good thing they have amazing sweet tea to put the fire out! I did not know that barbecue could be as dry as the platter that I was given today. I bought the two meat platter with sliced brisket and polish sausage. I was excited going in and ordering but then was dissapointed not only with how dry the plate looked but also how it tasted how it looked. I spent over $30 looking for the same quality barbecue that I'd expect when going to other earl's locations but this platter was as dry as school cafeteria food. we have been eating at earls on Reno in south Okc for years, seen new people come and go but never had an issue with our meal until today. after paying almost 50.00 for two rib dinners and two drinks, a lady brought us out our ribs, after further inspection of the ribs they were the most Red in color I've ever seen. Not cooked all the way. I went and asked the worker , he said they were done. I don't think so, did they offer to exchange or give us our money back or even a discount? No. never going there again. I loved this place and ordered from here many times. The reason for one star is because I had an issue with my order in May 2021 last year and contacted restaurant and ubereats. Ubereats response said to contact restaurant. Originally they were very nice and said I would be refunded but manager would call and confirm. I received no return call after a week I called again and I was told again Mgr will call back. They apologized for delay as they were very busy. A couple days later I called again very frustrated, and again received same response. Really? OK after another 2 weeks no rall back from mgr I call again angrily and this time given to Mgr and said she said I would not be refunded bc I needed to call within 24 hours. I angrily said I called the same day and multiple times after only to be told Mgr will return call and i never received call back. She looked into my issue, called me back, and said she contacted ubereats and they will reimburse me and she was sorry for delay and thanked me for my patience. No offer of a discount or coupon for their poor handling. Well ubereats would not reimburse me bc it was over a month. I usually spend between 30 to $50 for a meal. But As much as I love their food, I have never ordered from them again and never will. Their treatment of good loyal customers is a disappointment. read more

While driving through OKC, I was tempted to try some good bbq. There were many places to choose from but I chose to go with Earl's out of convenience. I was staying on Meridian Ave. I have to admit, I hadn't had a previous southern BBQ experience prior to Earl's. I'm not too crazy for ribs so I ordered the Big Earl Light with brisket and pulled pork, fried okra and baked beans. I loved the sides and the pork was well pulled. First time trying brisket and it was pretty "beefy" for my usual tastes. It was good and juicy though I couldn't finish it (brisket). I think "light" is enough for one person. They give three sauce containers with your take-out order. definitely PLENTY. Take-out service took 10 min, very efficient and friendly staff.
