Went to Earl's and we picked up a Korean Chicken Roll, Orange Chicken Roll, and a Teri Beef Roll. My favorite Roll was the Korean Chicken roll. Great ready-made rolls and bentos. They also have plate lunches. We got the Teri beef roll, bento and Korean chicken plate lunch. The roll was tasty, with spam, kamaboko and the Teri beef. The bento was nothing special: Portuguese sausage, spam, Teri beef and Korean chicken with rice. I enjoyed my HUGE Korean chicken plate with fried rice and potato mac salad. I used to stop by about 3-5X during my work week Tues-Sat for spam musubi, spam and egg sandwich or a Bento Roll. Nothing on the menu disappoints, I sometimes even pick up their yummy butter mochi for afternoon coffee breaks! 8 pieces of mochi for $5/$6 is a great deal along with the rest of their reasonably priced menu. Although most recently on some mornings I've had to wait outside along with a few others for my fave Korean Chicken Roll(s) to be made...I don't mind (as long as it's not raining too bad or windy) because the business is being compliant with their social distancing efforts and I absolutely LOVE their Bento Rolls, they're worth waiting for! My goodness, I love this little spot! The spam musubi is the BEST. I fell in love! I also ordered the Korean Fried Chicken, which was the most amazing chicken I have ever had! With it, comes two sides. I got the potato mac salad, which BLEW MY MIND and the fried rice which was the best friend rice I have ever had. Honestly. It was super moist and super sweet, omfg. A great place to pick up a bento lunch. The bentos were pre-made and in the display case, so once you got into the store (there was a line), it was very quick to get your selection and check out. Seriously, if you haven't ate here yet you need to! I've been eating from this establishment over 15 years ago when they were out in Pa'auilo. This is one company that hasn't changed their prices and continue to put out the same delicious foods they started with ...but be sure to call ahead because they run out of food very fast in the mornings. I wanted to grab a quick lunch here during my trip to the Big Island. I tried their Korean chicken. We got the mini plate with 2 scoops of rice (white or brown or fried rice) and potato/mac salad. The portions of the Korean chicken was more for a mini plate and can easily feed two (which is what we did). The chicken was not hot and it was a bit salty for my taste. Nothing great to rave about. I like earls. They make good breakfast, and their hot lunch line is good. Reasonably priced plates such as roast pork, fried chicken, Korean chicken, beef stew, and other local favorites.
