The perfect pit stop to grab a morning pick me up before heading to the days adventures! Lived that I could walk the neighboring shops while I waited for my items! I'm super happy with the breakfast burrito! Originally went in for an açaí bowl but they were out for the day! Opted in for the burrito and bf got the bagel sandwich! Both were delicious! The items came out faster than expected given how busy they were! The space was very cute and quaint! Love this place! Coming back for other items tomorrow!!:D
If you are in the area do give them a try. Coffee is good. Great taste! And they do have an option to go or to sit and enjoy. Service is helpful and friendly. They are pretty small and really crowded spot so be prepared either to wait for an available spot or grab to go and leave (that's what we had to do and so it was just a little bit inconvenient especially with kiddos).

I can't believe that I'm from Waimea and have never been to Waimea Coffee Co before. The cozy little coffee shop was the perfect place for lunch and coffee on one of the more chilly days in Waimea. The shop was pretty busy at lunch, so a bit difficult to find a dine-in space, but there were picnic tables outside, fortunately. Service was quickly and friendly despite how busy they were! I ordered the ulu burger with sweet potato salad. The ulu burger was unlike any other vegetarian burger that I have tried! The bun was wonderfully soft with a bit of a toasty, crisp exterior. The ulu burger tasted nourishing and had a spicy chipotle mayo type of sauce. Yum! The mac nut vegan cheese had a fascinating tang and texture. The ulu burger was a fun and healthy sandwich that left me satisfied and quite full. The sweet potato salad was a brilliant purple color and had a nice pickle relish addition. Just a little scoop, but a lot of flavor! The latte with macadamia nut syrup was fabulous! Delicious espresso, creamy, sweet, and a little nutty overall. It definitely warmed me up and gave me the energy I needed for the rest of the day. I'm not much of a coffee person, but I would definitely get a drink from Waimea Coffee Co again. Tasty and nourishing food plus top notch coffee is a combo that can't be beat. Waimea Coffee Co is stellar and popular for a good reason!
Randomly stopped over for some coffee and breakfast here on the way to Hilo and omg I am glad we did. Hands down, their breakfast burrito is the best I've ever had! Me and my husband shared it and I even gave him the slightly bigger half and I regret it haha. I wish I had the whole thing. Ingredients are so fresh and it was so tasty. The sauce and the lime were really a nice touch. I can't get over it. I may be overhyping it but regardless it's worth a try! Their coffees are decent too and baristas are very kind and friendly! They did miss my cold brew but when I followed up, they made sure to make my drink right away and apologized. It was understandable, it was a morning rush. Customers service is still great. Will definitely make the time to come back next time we visit the big island. The coffee shop is really cute too and in such a perfect location!!
Great local coffee shop in Kamuela! They sell all kinds of different coffee as well as beans! They will even grind it to your specification. Great service. Great coffee. They even have some breakfast items. ...and some small tables on the patio / outdoor area. This morning... Saturday... They even had live music. Definitely recommend swinging by for a coffee or just to hangout and relax.
I have to preface this review by saying I only drink black coffee, but it's legit here. The cold brew hits the spot, however the best thing here (I just can't deviate from it) is the Jenna salad! It's loaded with apples, blue cheese, candied pecans and it's just a sinfully delicious salad. It's quaint, and the seating is mainly outside. There are two picnic tables but I wouldn't recommend coming here with a really large party unless you get your stuff to-go.
Passable coffee shop in Waimea - 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3 because of the experience, not the food. We stopped by on our way from Kona Airport to our B&B in Hilo - quite hungry after a long Southwest flight from Oakland. We got there a little after 2, which was past their lunch hour cutoff, so we had to settle for cookies and hot beverages. I also ordered an açaí bowl, one of two food options on the menu they were prepared to make. We got our cookies, sat outdoors and people-watched. Chickens were wandering around the lawn, and there was a misty rainbow in the sky. The couple on the table next to us was loving on their mutt. The man went into the coffee shop and re-emerged with a guitar, and his lady started singing softly while he strummed. It was a perfect big island moment, soothing to the soul after a hard few weeks dealing with work and life pressures in California. They forgot to call my name for our hot drinks and açaí bowl. When I went in and got them (they'd been sitting on the counter the whole time), the drinks were lukewarm and the sorbet in the bowl was melty. The cookies were rock hard. We didn't enjoy them. But the free-range chickens did. My matcha latte was good, but my better half's cappuccino was bitter and too strong. She abandoned it. The Punatic - sorbet topped with honey, banana, coconut shavings and granola - was decent. Service was laid back. Parking was not an issue, and there are clean public restrooms nearby. Likely won't be back on this trip.
If you're visiting Waimea and planning to stop by Waimea Coffee Company, just a heads-up that the online menu isn't fully up to date. I'm posting an updated photo of the current menu to help other visitors. That said, this place is definitely worth the stop. The coffee is great, the pastries are fresh, and the atmosphere has that relaxed Big Island local charm. It's the kind of spot where you can sit, sip your coffee, and just enjoy the slower pace of Waimea. Service was friendly and welcoming, and everything came out quickly. Perfect stop if you're exploring the Waimea area or in my case, heading to Hilo. Extra! You can order your iced drink with coffee flavored ice cubes for an additional charge of course :-) read more

This was the perfect stop on our road trip from the Hilo side going towards Kona. There's even some seating inside and outside the cozy shop. I opted for a seasonal latte, don't remember the exact flavor. It was good, not too sweet. The perfect pick-me-up to continue the drive. read more

I just really like this place. This is the third trip in a row coming here when up in Waimea (also really like the town in general). Cute spot that has awesome açaí bowls and great coffee drinks. They have other food that is probably great too, but it's all about the açaí and coffee for me. Not. Lot of seating inside and it's usually just so don't plan to sit. There is some seating outside, too. The staff is friendly and also efficient, which is important for a coffee shop that's generally busy. Check them out if you're up in Waimea and want a Starbucks alternative. read more
Great coffee and breakfast place in Waimea. It's located in a small village shopping center. The menu includes a lot of different breakfast items and coffee selections. They can make a drip or French Press. The breakfast burrito was very tasty. Service was excellent. A must visit if you are going to the Big Island. read more

This place really doesn't need any more review's they already have a ton. I stopped in just to get a cappuccino and noticed the specials sign. "Pastrami Rubin Sandwich. What a great sandwich it was followed with a cappuccino. Glad you guys are here with great food and drinks. Also, so easy to find I will be back. AF read more
The coffee was delicious! My mother's breakfast melt was better than my lox plate. I would have liked a bagel from a local, hawaiian bakery instead of a Kirkland (CostCo) everything bagel. The space is very live and loud with patrons crowded inside the shoppe along with coffee machines and blenders. read more

A fun neighborhood place for a great cappuccino, acai bowl and breakfast burrito. They get busy early in the day and seating can be tight (limited inside) but the high quality and freshness of their products for eating in or taking out more than make up for it. Parking is in front and in the back. Highly recommended. read more

Waimea Big Island, Hawaii Our go to place for coffee, breakfast and a quick pick up when in Waimea. Always friendly service, good coffee (yes, not all coffee places have good coffee!) a sandwich/wrap or dessert. Sometimes there's live music which is always good and not overwhelmingly loud. Love the ulu burger, breakfast wraps, toasted bagels and ice tea. My only negative is the cost...a smoothie here will set you back $12! For a small size. Just up the street at the natural foods store it's $7.... Except on Sundays and Mondays, there are some cute shops close by that are open. Parking is free out front. Inside and outside seating available. Relaxing and a nice way to start the day! read more

"It's your golden hour You slow down time In your golden hour (Oh-oh-oh)..." Early morning wake-up call courtesy of coqui frogs chirping and roosters crowing is what country living is all about. Waking up in rural Kea'au and on a whim deciding to drive across the Big Island to Kamuela is what my Bestie, Kyra & I, decided to do. We honestly did not want to enjoy our last day on the Island in the rain hopping mud puddles, so we both vibe'd a drive! The drive over was something you don't see on O'ahu or San Francisco lol... we decided on the Saddle Road which is miles and miles of Parker Ranch-land, the cows, rams, horses, and native birds were a joy to see. And when we passed by Mauna Kea, I told Bestie to look at the snow peak, and the joy in her eyes warmed my heart. Who would have thought a 50-mile drive would be so special as Golden Hour by JVKE played... The Sun broke out along the way, but all the time, as enjoyable as the drive was, as hella cute my Bestie glowed, I was jittery and in need of coffee STAT! Lol! And waking up we had no clue where we would get coffee until we approached Kamuela! Serendipity it is! Bestie started Yelping as we approached where Paniolo Cowboy life is alive and well... she tossed out a few names, some mainland chain names meh, and Waimea Coffee Company! We agreed that let's keep it local and we headed directly to Waimea! Waimea Coffee Company is located in a rustic looking outdoor shopping area. Book shops, gift shops, people enjoying the day on the porch or lanai, country and soft rock guitar playing greets us at the doorway. We immediately fell in love with the vibe. Just easy going and no one in a rush. Not much cafe tables, but just enough inside and outside to keep customers happy. Picnic benches on the grass area with roosters! The menu was more than we expected... crafted coffee drinks and teas, baked goods, and even lunch items. We had no desire for lunch as we already had plans lined up for later. I chose Hot Peppermint Mocha and Bestie chose Iced Chai Latte (almond milk), Coconut Loaf, Coconut Macaroon added. Just note to check-in before ordering because there's a Yelp discount if you do! We didn't know until after we ordered the drinks, but Bestie used it for the loaf! :) We managed to find a spot on the communal table which allowed us to really soak up the country ambiance! Ok, ok! Most customers were tourists but hey the Wood don't lie! :D Just a nice spot to collect ourselves after the country drive! Oh my! After my first sip of the Peppermint Mocha I knew it was of high quality - then I read they use Kamuela coffee! Bestie enjoyed her Chai Latté and she was kind enough to share her Coconut Loaf which paired nicely with my drink. The Coconut Macaroon was tasty, but heavy and on the richer side, and probably not the best choice for pre-Brunch, but hey I love my Coconut, so... In the end, we both really enjoyed collecting our thoughts at Waimea Coffee Company. Highly recommended if in the area... top quality drinks, a solid menu, the country vibes was strong here. Not a place to be in a rush, but a spot to take a step back and enjoy the moment. Serendipity was on our side once again... and as JVKE said...You slow down time;) read more

Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, topped off with delicious, yet smooth coffee. So glad I came across this place in reviews. Beautiful Hawaii in the highlands of the countryside. Waimea Coffee shop is a great little spot to stop and get coffee and breakfast or lunch. The country shops has that Key West meets SoCal vibe. Nice, laid back and chill. The have live music on the weekends, and the coffee and Burrito Melt was excellent. Don't get sticker-shock, but everything on the big island is Expensive....bring your wallet and get ready to spend. Even gas an extra dollar at $5.00/gal. read more

I would recommend to try their specialty coffee. They have store decorated for Halloween. It was cute little coffee shop hidden in the red complex. They have outdoor sitting and you can see chicken roaming too. For the bathroom, you can need the bathroom code for both the genders. So ask prior to going to the bathroom. I ordered lavender coffee and it was good. My only complain it was small cup. read more
