Visually appealing, but very slow service. Food tastes good in small servings. Also, the management sound condescending when you complain abou something. We won't recommend this place.

After seeing all the glowing reviews, I was excited to try breakfast at the Early Bird Breakfast Club. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. It seems like this is a cafe that values appearances over taste. Yes, the decor is cute. But the much lauded french toast fondue was more like hard crackers with syrup served in a broken eggshell that I somehow ended up paying 210p for. My dining partners iced tea tasted like lime juice over ice with no tea, and after the first sip, wasn't touched again. As we left, disappointed and still hungry, I commented that we probably would have had a better breakfast at the ihop next door - which is just sad. There are so many other breakfast places in Makati to love, I was sad to waste one at this location. I don't need gimmicks, just good tasty food. I love (LOVE) breakfast, but sadly, there was nothing to love here.

The first thing I did when I came back to the Philippines after a long time was to eat champorado. It was what I have been craving for tremendously alongside taho! The day after I arrived in Manila, I took my cousins and I to Early Bird Breakfast Club and it was like we celebrated a grand reunion when I stepped inside. First order of business was to order Yin & Yang Champorado (P275) and French Toast Fondue (P210) with Lemon and Mint Iced Tea (P95). I know Yin & Yang Champorado is the most photographed food in the Metro around that time (and I still think it is), but there is some justice to it. I would photograph something that tasted so good I could cry bacon bits at command. What makes it special is that the white belgian chocolate and dark belgian chocolate perform magic in your taste buds along with dilis! It's a flavour explosion of chocolate proportions! To think I'm not so big on heavily sweetened dishes. Also, the pastels and the wall art are what makes me eager to come back each time. Sometimes, I wish I could take home their chopping boards and mason jars so I could recreate something like that at home. I also like their take on French Toast Fondue. Each egg shell contains a flavour ranging from cinammon, maple syrup and melted chocolate. If you prefer, you could put them all together if you're of the sweet tooth kind.

My first Early Bird Breakfast Club experience all started with my uncontrollable desire to eat champorado. For those who don't know it, champorado is the quintessential Filipino breakfast porridge mixed with cocoa. Everything would have been ordinary, but Early Bird raised the bar with their Yin-Yang Champorado. According to Chinese philosophy, the yin-yang concept basically represent duality or the blending of two opposing forces in the natural world. It is symbolized by a circle divided by an 'S' line in the middle. The Yin-Yang Champorado has nothing to do with cosmic powers, I'm sure. But it's made up of two varieties of chocolates - Belgian white on one side of the yin-yang symbol and Belgian dark on the other. Two types of chocolates in one champorado, plus crispy dilis on the side. Top that! As a breakfast restaurant, Early Bird offers pancakes, toasts, omelettes, and morning meals from local and international cuisines. They also serve wines. The Sausage Skillet is a hearty meal on its own, good enough for two. It's made with Spanish chorizo, English banger, hashed potatoes, and caramelized onions served on a skillet. Have a good day!

Absolutely fantastic- from the freshly squeezed orange juice to the pancakes everything was excellent- great service ! We're just visiting the Philippines and it was really nice to see a restaurant that takes food and service seriously- everyone was so nice and accommodating and we were a party of 8 with two kids! Food came out quickly and at the right temperature - I had their grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was to die for - so happy and impressed with the "Early bird Breakfast Club". Hats off to you guys!! Thank you for making our morning delicious!

Oh, dear, Lord. A place that serves breakfast? All day, every day? COUNT ME IN! EBBC is the penultimate "Sunday brunch with the amigas" restaurant. The interiors are soft and fresh, using cream and pastels to set the tone. I've fallen head over heels in love with this restaurant from the moment I read their menu. That breakfast can be served all day because good things can still happen, even after 5PM. (Or something along those lines!) Basically, it's a "yeah, this day can still get better even after all the effed up stuff that happened." I had the adobo flakes, which were-- well, I thought they'd be different. When you think of adobo flakes, they're deep fried, right? Mine were-- literally, chunks of adobo on top of rice. Still, it was pretty good. NOW, my favorite is the grilled cheese with tomato soup! It's a bit sweeter than usual because of the caramelized onions, but no less delicious! The french toast fondue is also pretty good, even if a tad bit too sweet for my tastes.

This place was great all around. The servers were friendly and the food was yummy. Their hazelnut latte was to die for. I have to go back before I leave the PI.

Honestly, I had no idea this place existed, but luckily was paying attention when our driver drove past and I saw a massive line out the door at 1am. Luck would have it our hotel was just around the corner. We walked by one evening and decided it was way to crowded. With over an hour wait and every table filled we also knew pictures inside would be nearly impossible. With a couple hours to spare the morning we were leaving, we walked over after breakfast to check it out and maybe order something small to share. Of course, the desserts caught our eye and the rest was history. 1 massive dessert later, 2 of us could not finish, but throughly enjoyed every bite we ate. A daytime visit was the best choice. We pretty much had the downstairs to ourselves for pictures and several 2nd floor areas were purposely non-seating areas so patrons could take pictures. I could have spent hours here and would definitely return. The collection is unreal. The 50's vibe/atmosphere was on point, and the dessert (the only food I can judge) was delicious. If we had a place like this in Los Angeles, it would be a total hit.

It has a unique gas station theme, with classic cars, memorabilia, and a vintage vibe. They offer American comfort food like burgers, pizza, pasta, and hearty breakfast plates but surprisingly their Filipino favorite dishes are so good. Ordered the hipon (shrimp) sinigang & the sizzling squid. Both were so good. Loved the sauce on the squid. Loved all the veggies in the sinigang especially the okra & kangkong (watercress/morning glory). This place is great for casual dining and late-night cravings. They have a bar for those who want to enjoy a drink while soaking in the retro aesthetic. I stopped in here twice during my stay in the area. I also tried their chicken & waffle. It was really good too. I wish I tried their desserts but I was too full both times. They have merchandise to purchase as well if you need souvenirs. Staff were friendly.

One night, we passed by it and saw that we beat everyone out of their offices and got to the area early. We parked immediately and soaked the glory in for a bit before entering. I personally liked the feel of the place because it was casual but homey at the same time, without being cheesy. With statement posters adorning the walls and chalkboards advertising their specials, I knew I was going to like it here. We decided to share an order of their super duo which had ribs for two and a choice of two side dishes. I was happy to see that they offered spinach as a siding so I got that, while my dad ordered their spiced rice. Goodness gracious, it was good! The meat was tender, almost falling off the bone and their sauce is really good, a good balance of tangy, sweet and smokey flavor. While my Dad got their brewed iced tea, as drink and dessert, I got their chocolate shake which I enjoyed not just because of the taste, but also because of the candy sprinkles and marshmallow toppings. I wouldn't mind a good rub and ribs at Rub Ribs anytime soon.

Do those 2 things correctly and you're 95% on the way to a good burger. I mean, what did the burger ever do to you? Okay, enough of my ranting. I'm just happy to have stumbled across The Beef a few weeks ago. I've been to Hole in the Wall 2 or 3 times already yet I've never tried The Beef. It's an inconspicuous looking black and gray colored shop with a sign stating "The Beef" overhead. Maybe the reason I overlooked it the first few times I visited. Their menu is intriguing because it consists of only 3 items: burger, cheeseburger and fries. I went ahead and ordered a cheeseburger with fries and waited patiently. Little did I know what was waiting for me when I took my first bite into this burger. The burger is delicious and everything I look for in one: juicy, huge beef flavor and I particularly liked the salty, seared crust on the outside. The bun holding the burger appears to be brioche and is soft and spongy, which absorbs all the juices as you consume it. These 2 components alone make this possibly the best burger I've ever tried in Manila. The burger is also dressed with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and other condiments which only enhance the experience. This thing literally had me daydreaming about it after my first visit and I kept bothering my girlfriend that we had to return and trust me, I will. Pros -One of the best, if not the best, burgers right now in the Metro. -Simple menu. Cons -Pricey. Burger and fries will set you back at least P350. -Fries are meh. Last but not least: Dill pickles on a burger? Yes. Raw cucumber and/or sweet pickles on a burger? NO, just NO. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Thus, I ended up at the nearest Wendy's. Usually, I would have food delivered from a Jollibee or Mcdo. But, when I want a meaty burger or just good hot food, I want to eat it minutes, seconds after it's cooked. That's why I LOVE Wendy's! The food is made to order. That's a big plus for me: getting hot, fast, filling food late at night when you've had a long day. Also, Wendy's really stepped up their game in terms of food choices + prices (Wendy's burgers used to be Php300+; now, a Baconator is like Php200! BIG meal, super savings!). This location is my fave because there are no lines and I can have the whole restaurant to myself (other branches are near call centers, so they are a bit noisy). My order took about 15 minutes which is fairly good considering the amount of food I ordered (LOL!). So, I almost always get the same order: a Chili bowl (I crumble crackers into it so that all the "soup" is soaked up), a Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburger + extra bacon because BACON, a large order of the baked potato with bacon and cheese, a Frosty and a Biggie Iced Tea. Today, I also ordered Cheesy Fries! YUM! Overall, I'm really satisfied with the food and service especially since they have added more items and the servings are HUGE! And they brought back their salad bar! Sure, the variety of veg wasn't admirable, but P200 to stuff your plate full of greens and potato and macaroni salad is a pretty great deal. I didn't end up getting a salad though, since I wasn't too hungry--I just got a small frosty (like about 9 oz) and a small pocket of fries for P50, which is a great deal, if you ask me. And they were as great as I remember. Someone left an extra half of a mushroom cheeseburger, which I ended up eating, and it was pretty good in all fairness. Damn, Wendy's.
