The staff is kind and helpful but never pushy. The owner is supportive and community focused and even helped me out with a body positive event I was throwing in the past. Early to Bed is the first female owned/feminist themed sex shop in Chicago-land. Their selection is pretty standard but more importantly their proceeds often go to social causes(ending sexual violence, supporting reproductive choice etc). They also have a variety of workshops and a book club. Definately worth visiting. read more

Been shopping here for years. Searah is wonderful and puts you at ease. Her how-to videos are fantastic. I've been to a few seminars as well. My only complaint: the display toys have been handled so many times - filthy! They need a good cleaning. Also on a recent visit, the sales person was uber shy and sat behind the counter surfing the internet. She whispered over the counter "if you have any questions" Sales staff needs to be more present on the sales floor. Other than that, I enjoy E2B very much! read more

Great place with very knowledgable and friendly staff surely to get the most chaste of ladies to be a bit more "relaxed". The shop has a great selection of items and even a lending library! Go figure.... I've been in many shops but this one although small is well stocked "just like I like my bars and boys" HAHAHAHa I digress :-) Anyhow you can order things online for discretion and ask as many questions as you like. My favorite is when they share their experiences with the products from themselves or other customers. Bed time looks totally different with this north side secret. Visit online of you're too far away but if you're looking for parking good luck! Pay for parking is competitive and limited. It's still the north side but hey...grab a bottle of Malbec from Dominick's across the street and tour Early to bed make it a date night! However don't wait too late, unlike other stores they close at 8pm. But think of it as extra time to go have some early evening fun. As a matter if fact if you and your hunny have a day off its the perfect place for afternoon shopping. I stopped in this past spring with a friend just to browse, and I felt totally comfortable at Early to Bed. I didn't buy anything that day but will definitely be returning soon. I even asked the woman working if they were hiring and she was very sweet, and told me that they weren't and it was because they employee turnover rate is very low, she said she had been working there 5 years! I was really impressed how the store managed to be fun and cute but still informative and business-like. I wish there was a store like this in other parts of the city! read more
