The order did not arrive until January 20--approximately 8 weeks later and missing the holiday window entirely. The serious issue here is product quality and accuracy. I've attached images, but the ruby birthstone received looked nothing like the product images--no facets, no clarity, and a flat, opaque appearance that did not match the advertised listing. I contacted the company within 24 hours of delivery and then spent nearly two months working with them on a resolution. During that time, multiple replacement stones were offered, but none matched the product being advertised or met a reasonable standard of clarity or faceting. The adjustable chain also does not function properly and will not hold its position. After it became clear a suitable replacement was not possible, I requested a refund. This was initially approved and then reversed, despite the issue being reported immediately and actively addressed with the company throughout the process. It is also worth noting that the ruby product imagery has been changed online during this period, and I have retained documentation of both the original listing and the items received. I have ordered from this company previously, which makes this change in product quality and customer service especially noticeable. Overall, this experience involved delayed delivery, significant product misrepresentation, and an unsatisfactory resolution process. I would caution others to be very careful when ordering custom or time-sensitive items.

I asked the salesperson if the stone was a star sapphire, and he said categorically not, and offered up some lesser stones' names. Later, I went to 46th St. where 4 different jewelers told me unequivocally it was a star sapphire, though somewhat faded. It was just a test, but I'll shop elsewhere.
