Reasonable houseplants prices for the size. I left with 3 plants and can't wait to go back.

I was looking for some house plants and fruit trees for my mom's garden. After reading the many positive reviews and hearing about the wide variety of plants, I had to drive up to check it out. When I first arrive, I noticed the parking lot is small and pretty busy, so you may need to wait a while for a space if you come later in the day. There are social distancing requirements and cleaned carts which are a plus. They have such a wide selection of plants. You could spend hours here walking down all the rows of plants and reading their information card. I went looking specifically for a rubber tree plant, snake plant, pilea peperomiodes, and a persimmon tree. I found all except the pilea peperomiodes which the employee reassured me she would order for the next month since many asked. I will definitely go back to shop for more. I also ended up going home with a few planters and a mint plant. The larger plants (almost fully grown) did cost a lot more. I decided to go with the smaller plants to save a little money but also enjoy the slow journey of plant growth. Just an FYI. I found spider mites on the snake plant I bought when I got home. So I did have to wash and quarantine the plant for a few days before placing it next to other plants I have in the house. So far the plants have been thriving over the summer and fall season. I'm happy with my purchase and look forward to shopping here again. read more

Limited Hours- The service and selection here are great but the hours of operation are regular business hours of 8-5. It's nearly impossible to get in any shopping in a convenient after work or Sunday setting. My only option is Saturday. It's discounting to have to shop elsewhere. read more

Wow this places is AMAZING! I love plants! I mean who doesn't!! There are so many plants here! The place is huge and literally goes on forever! I think they have literally every plant/bush/tree/herb/flower a person could grow in this climate! I mean there were like 5 types of Christmas trees available! When have you seen a Christmas tree at a nursery before?! I came here because I was in the neighborhood and is there really any other reason needed to buy new plants? No. No there is not. I wanted about 1-2 new succulents for my yard and left with 8! No self control I know! Believe it or not I did limit myself though. It was a struggle. There are COVID safety rules in place coupled with this location being mainly outdoors that make it safe to frequent. They limit the amount of people that can go in to the nursery so there may be a line to get in. Masks are required and only 2 people per row are allowed. It was my first time coming back here after a couple years, and my last visit I remember it being jam-packed of so many plants I'd never seen alongside very helpful staff. Luckily, the experience I had today was just as amazing as the last. I came in to purchase a houseplant as a gift and was totally clueless. Luckily, there was a helpful employee in the houseplant area who gave me tips on sunlight and water necessity on the plants I had chosen. With their help, I was able to narrow it down and pick this polka dot begonia. Compared to big chain hardware stores, the prices here do run a little steeper but I believe it's justified. The plants are in much better shape and the staff here is very knowledgeable. I just moved into a new place and wanted to get some plants. Found this place on Yelp and decided to stop by on a Saturday. There is a free small parking lot outside their shop. I was lucky and got a spot after looping around back again. Otherwise there are close metered street parking available. There are carts available for when you shop that are located near their parking lot. This place has an outdoor as well as indoor section. I headed inside to see what kind of plants they had. I had just come from Home Depot and was able to check out their selection and found the prices here a lot steeper. For example, the snake plant at Home Depot was $19.00 but for the same size, it was about $62.00 at this place. While these plants were more expensive than big chain stores, they did have some things here that weren't carried at the Home Depot that I visited so I picked up a few things. My bill came out to over $75.00 and I'm so bummed that I forgot to use my 10 percent off yelp check in discount. Staff is wonderful and so helpful. Not cheap, but not uber expensive, this is more your traditional nursery vs Annie's which is more a perennial/California oriented one. I was on the search for a hydrangea and bougainvillea and score, plenty of varieties of both, along with an extensive array of grasses, trees, herbs and so on. Everything seemed healthy and again, questions? Their staff is super knowledgeable and very approachable. Need planters, potting soil, mulch and other accessories? They have an extensive array of all of the above. The space is large, and although maybe a little hard to be socially distant when busy since rows are narrow, they did have staff in the front limiting intake. I come here for almost all my plant needs & Al always happy with the staff knowledge and the variety of options, my family went to get our Christmas tree today and the staff was so quick & helpful- my tree was up in my car before we even got to the parking lot! Wowza! Yes they are open during quarantine. I don't recommend going during lunch because the line wrapped around the block! The wait took about 20-30 minutes just to get in. Stock - People were here for gardening equipment, supplies, seeds, and etc. It seemed like they had a good variety of plants. In particular, I was blown away by their succulent and cactus area. Everything was very affordable; a variegated string of pearls was only $35 (I saw it $55 at other places). All of their succulents were blooming! I also got a combined planter and saucer for only $10. Customer Service - Great! Staff was very approachable (while six feet away) and answered questions. read more

Found some of the best succulents here! Tons of outdoor options. They've got indoor plants too, but couldn't find any that were that unique or rare. They've got all the indoor standards from fig trees to pothos galore. Parking is extremely limited. I've had to park on the nearby streets every time I've come by. Unless you can blatantly see an open spot in the lot, it'd be best to find a spot in the street. Will be back to fulfill the COVID-planting obsession! 4 stars. read more

If you want bang for your buck, this is the nursery for you. I went to 5 others and this place had the same plants anywhere from $5 - 10 cheaper. The exception was the "string of bananas", but for the same size pot there were way more strings and the plant was a lot healthier. Plus this place offers coupons, who doesn't love a deal?!? There is a huge selection of plants, though mostly common ones. And bonus, there is a parking lot though on the small side. If you are looking for unusual plants, go to Dry Garden or Westbrae nursery. read more

I love love love this Nursery! I wish I had more time in town to visit again! This was one of the only plant nurseries that I have visited and that had fair prices and such a great variety of plants. If you love plant browsing, this is the place for you. Many indoor and outdoor plants as well as cacti and succulents! If I didn't have to fly back home, I would've taken this 8inch pot of Variegated String of Pearls! I mean look at its pink tint! Such a great price too. I'll be back next time I am in town! Called in and asked if they had a particular Japanese maple in stock and they did! In various sizes too. If you're looking for a specific or special one, this is the place to check out. I couldn't find it at our local nursery or the big box home improvement stores. They offer delivery as well, so ask if you're bringing home a big one. The staff was super helpful in finding our tree to loading it up in our car. I highly recommend this nursery as they have such a huge variety. read more

They have such a fun variety of outdoor plants. Even on a busy day they were super helpful and knowledgeable, spent time explaining the care of many options we were looking at. Prices were very reasonable. They helped us out to our car to load two huge wine barrel planters we purchased as well as drilling holes in them for drainage. The one downside is they didn't have a huge variety of indoor houseplants, it's more suited for outdoor gardens. Definitely will be back! read more

My parents had some empty planters that they wanted filled, so I came to the east bay nursery on a weekday afternoon. This place had some of the best selections of plants I've seen. A wiiiiide variety of 2" succulents! I havent seen a nursery with this much variety. Im a houseplant and succulent mom so I cant comment on the other flowers, fruit trees/plants, and veggies sorry but this nursery is huge and there are a lot of em! house plant prices are a bit steep compared to other nurseries. The succulents tho...get them all! They also sell airplants and moss poles which I haven't seen sold at other nurseries before. Lots of pot choices as well. I've been coming to this place for over 10 years and one of my favorite nurseries when trying to find different variety of plants, air plants and their succulent selection is awesome...about $3 for the small and $6 for the larger ones...they carry a lot of houseplants and tropicals to help you complete a tranquil space or backyard project. I visited this place twice since I was gifted 2 plants and at first I thought I liked it but now I'm second guessing it. Let me start off by saying my first experience here was good. I bought a pot, a tray & some soil. Okay that's fine, went to the register and paid with cash..no biggie. Today, the second time I went I wanted to buy another pot for my other plant (which I liked their selection) and perhaps a watering can. I arrived at the register to pay my total which is only 15.56 right, so I give her a 20 dollar bill & she say..We are only taking Credit cards/Debit Cards just so you know for next time. Um Excuse me!! How do you even know I own either one of those? Not everyone have a credit or debit card ma'am! That's so crazy to me! There will be no next time for me. Ohh and the website doesn't say that at all! So I guess people are suppose to just KNOW to bring a credit or debit card. Smh! I could understand a total of 50-$100 but 10-20? Whatever! read more

Came here for succulents & I was not disappointed at all. Super big selection of a wide variety of succulents & sizes. The succulents and cacti were in good health, which is not always the case when you go to nurseries because I've noticed succulents are usually in pretty bad shape at most nurseries I've been to. The owner is so freaking rude and lack professionalism! Although some of people who works there are so friendly! I'm a brown person and when I asked me some questions he was giving me attitude and did not even want to answers my questions. He also said that they will not be able to help me with the information I needed regarding the plant I bought from this store. This seriously has to be the most under the radar nursery in this part of the bay. I was told by a friend in a plant group (yes I'm in those, several) and decided to add this to my shopping spree of plants before fall hits. This was my last stop, had it been my first might have skipped a few others. I love this place even though parking sucks. They've got an AMAZING selection of succulents and cacti. So many I didn't recognize. Then you go inside and there was an even more amazing tropical plant selection. Everything was well laid out. The staff super friendly. I even heard several separate conversations with staff making recommendations to customers. I walked out with a lot of plants (if you saw me on Saturday I was the one with more plants than hands because I don't use carts, then I would buy even more!). Do I recommend here? Yes! They have an impressive selection of starter plants for herbs, fruits and vegetables. I was looking for Thai/SE Asian herbs and found: - Thai Basil - Holy Basil - Lemongrass - Thai chilies - Cilantro Basically, you can grow your own Thai ingredient garden! Starter plants are around $2.99 each which is quite affordable. I bought two small cilantro plants mainly so that I could harvest the roots (prized in Thai cooking but very hard to find in most grocery stores). Within a couple of months they turned into huge stalks! I basically don't have to buy cilantro for the rest of the summer! read more
