Went during a weekday. Place was medium busy. Service was fast and efficient. Buffet is rather small, everything I ate was decent but they lack the variety of the "other" buffet in town. Probably won't be going back. read more

Atmosphere - most restaurant noise was muffled by relaxing instrumental. Hot sour soup - Excellent spice Sushi bar - fresh! Included seaweed salad, eel sauce, spicy mayo and low sodium soy sauce all self service. Variety from tempura roll to a shaggy dog roll, plus California roll, tuna roll and melt in you mouth sashimi tuna. Buffet was set up nicely. Plenty of access points. 11 individual seafood dishes, including baked salmon. Vegetable choices were limited to beef or chicken broccoli and green beans, but who goes to a Buffett to eat veggies? I tasted them all, none were overcooked. Crab Rangoon, soft serve ice cream, fried bananas, banana pudding, tapioca, fruit and a salad bar which looked fresh. This place is awful. It's was $56 for an adult, a 13YO and a 7 YO. My 13 YO said that the only thing good she ate was a piece of garlic bread. The food is just not good. Every fried thing that I had was not cooked all the way through and was going (shrimp, chicken, everything). The hot and sour soup was lukewarm and was horrible. The beef in the broccoli beef was so tough it was inedible. The crispy things they go on top of the soup were soggy. I have tried this place twice and we'll never be back again. When I am in Conroe at my office, this is my place to enjoy a nice buffet or to take it on the go! My preferred place to grab some food on the go and without having to wait for someone to serve as it's all readily available and served on the buffet. The staff is friendly and they give the to-go boxes which we can fill and pay by the weight. Nice sushi and fruits and seafood and is always fresh and being refilled timely and is all warm. I do see lot of people enjoying crayfish, but that's something I have never been able to get myself to eat, just off course I tried pretty much everything on the buffet and everything was good. To top it off the deserts and also the softee ice cream is yummy. So I think this place should get a 5 but I am giving it a 4 as the place can maybe get more updated and interiors improved to make it more nicer. First, they keep the food stocked, but they keep refilling with small quantities so the food is very fresh. They brought out 2 dozen fried shrimp and when that got low, brought out more. Was the same with all of the entrees. Best part was the flavor. Many buffets, the food tastes the same....all chicken is the same, but at East Buffet, each dish was very well seasoned with it's own individual taste & flavor. It was awful. When walking to the table the floors were all sticky. Went & got food. "Buffet" was a stretch. There was probably a total of 15 "hot" things. Came back. And look up where the kitchen is to see a FULL cart of dirty dishes with flies flying around. immediately left. I knew better when my shoes were stuck to the floor but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. && they definitely do offer 10% off for a 5 star review & it's crazy to me that anybody would lie for like a QUARTER off a meal smh. read more

I get a craving for a Chinese buffet once or twice a year. I have an excellent one I could go to but it's almost an hour drive. So when I get the craving I usually end up at a closer mediocre Chinese food buffet. I stopped in East Buffet because I was waiting on an appt. To my surprise EB had a lil higher quality of Chinese food. It's nothing to make a special trip for but at least I can give it 3 stars instead of 2 stars. It basically your standard Chinese Buffet. There were no crab legs or anything fancy. At least they had a decent sushi section and I felt comfortable eating it. Since it's obviously raw fish for the most part I want to feel that their is someone making the sushi that can tell if it's fresh and their are no lil worms in it. Everything was fresh and actually tasted good. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of this place but it's definitely worth 3 stars. Plenty of free parking. read more
