The young lady at the order counter was very kind and welcoming, but I believe it was the owner or the cook that came out and brought my sandwich. He never made eye contact ,never said thank you ,just shoved my sandwich in a bag at me ,and walked away. I had asked for a small container of extra sauce and was willing to pay, and the young lady said no ,they will put sauce on the sandwich ,so I was fine with that. For $14 ,I had a small hamburger bun with no pickles, no onions, just meat and a quarter teaspoon of sauce. I brought it home and put on some of my own sauce and pickles, but sadly, the meat was very dried out ,as though it had been chopped earlier and frozen, or just overcooked.There was no smoke ring on the meat at all. It was brown all the way through ,and the edges were too hard to eat on many of the pieces. I ended up having to knock off about half of the inedible meat ,and so had a very spare sandwich for lunch. Too expensive for this disappointing product,so I won't be back. I love to support local, but I work hard for my money too, and cannot waste it.

Four years on and we still enjoy doing it. This month was back to an old favorite, Fire Craft BBQ. Owner and head pit master, David Welch puts his heart and soul into the products his restaurant turns out. Not only that, there is a lot of variety and specialty dishes on the menu that most other BBQ places don't serve. We had 14 in our group and were able to pull together some tables and chairs in the large additional dining room they added not long after opening. The room is clean and well lit, big ceiling fans keep the air moving. Our group ordered a variety of things; I had the brisket hamburger with a side of the very southern yellow squash casserole. My wife had the chopped beef sandwich with fries and another friend had the chicken plate with beans and coleslaw. Others had their tocos and other sandwiches, one had the ribs. We were all full and happy when we finished. What 's nice is David came by to check on us and make sure everyone was happy, not many owners take that kind of personal attention.

Went with a 3 meat combo and 2 sides so I could try a variety. $30 seemed a bit expensive but once I saw how much food it was I felt like the price was very fair. The fatty brisket is soooooo good. Melts in your mouth. Jalapeno sausage was delicious with a nice snap. Ribs were very good also. Pinto beans with pulled pork are insane good. Way more pulled pork with it than I was expecting so that was a nice bonus. Everyone in there was very friendly and checked on me a couple times making sure everything was good with my food. They have to-go boxes, which I definitely needed. I took home about half my meal. If you are in Houston or in particular the Kingwood area, make sure to check out Fire Craft bbq.

The baked potatoes themselves weren't as big as I've had, but still very filling. I opted for chopped brisket with everything on it. I do think there could have been more cheese. My mother-in-law opted for a plain potato with just cheese and butter and she also commented on how hers didn't have much cheese on it. We also got the cornbread and when we first tried it, it was a bit hard. We nuked it in the microwave and that made it much better to eat. Pricing was reasonable, though I'm used to paying a lot more for food in California, so that may not be the norm in Texas.

The pork ribs are EXCELLENT. Meaty, moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. Also tried the boudin, overall iI liked it, i would have preferred a little less cheese but its a winner. Full of brisket and sausage its pretty damn good. The jalapeño sausage is a great, perfect grind size and coarseness. Sides are above average. For me hands down the cajun potato salad is the best I tried today. My dining partner raved about the collard greens and coleslaw. The smoked beans are delicious and the mac and cheese is pretty good too. The staff is cheerful and helpful as well.

The ambiance here was really great. I liked the outdoor patio vibe & really homey feel. I liked the tin roof (it rained while we were there & I loved the sound!) & there was plenty of seating. The inside is always clean, and the service is fast and friendly. They have a good parking lot, too, so there's usually no fighting for parking spaces. Tonight and I got their Godzilla roll and it was a BEAST. We also got their Tangy Spicy Style Beef - super savory, plenty of crunchy texture from the vegetable and overall a very filling dish. My wife and I came on a Friday and it was our first time. They generously let us try some of their barbecue FOR FREE because they were confident we would find something we would like. We got samples of the marbled brisket and their house-made sausage along with their homemade sauces - let me tell you we just ended up getting entrees of the things we tasted because I just wanted more of it. Lol. Their brisket is so tender and juicy that it basically starts to tear itself apart when you pick it up. It goes toe for toe with some of the best in Houston. The house made sausage we ordered sandwich style - two buns, plenty of sausage and topped w/plenty of fixings. We also got their corn and brisket Mac n Cheese (YES, they have B-mac) as the sides. They were also amazing: the corn was generously lathered in butter and slightly sweet. The B-mac was incredibly cheesy and also savory thanks to the delicious brisket juices mixed with the noodles. Can't forget about the service as well. Very friendly, very helpful and super proud of the food they serve. They stand behind what they are cooking and serving to people. I love that they are so close to home and have been here for a while. You can find their food truck parked in front of the Scarlet Barbell Club gym on Wednesday-Saturday's. It's a decent size lot that has plenty of parking. They also have a tent and a little table in front. HIGHLY recommend trying them out. If you love barbecue, you gotta come and see what they're serving up!
