So I am not a wings person, so I cannot review their wings. However, I can give a review for the salads, burgers and sweet potato fries. I do not eat fast food, so when I am on this side of town I will stop in ECWG. I like the burgers since I can build my own. Quite worth it to get it how you want it! Sweet potato fries and salads are also very good in my book. Service has gotten better. About a 6 months to a year ago, the service was not very good. But there is a new wait staff, and they seem to be doing better. My daughter was admitted at the hospital just down the road, and the hospital food was not to her liking. I've been here three times and I loved it. But, after tonight's experience I will not return. A customer walked out and did not pay their bill. The manager let the waitress know that she had to pay the bill (WHICH IS ILLEGAL IN NORTH CAROLINA). The manager and multiple employees were fighting in the middle of the restaurant. I called ECW & told them and they offered to replace my food only if I were willing to cone back, which I explained that I could not because I was in quarantine. Secondly, I greeted the greeter as I entered. ... Why wouldn't she have greeted me?...I asked for my take out order and gave her my name. The greeter turned to the waitress and said "This lady said she ordered something ".., As the waitress finished chewing whatever was in her mouth, she told me my total. This place gets such a bad wrap because they are always shorthanded with staff. The people who actually do come to work are excellent and hard workers. The food has been excellent every single time we have dined in. We go a lot and for about a year straight we went once a week. We have had the wings, salads, burgers, fries, onion rings, drinks, beer, philly and so many other things to eat here and have never had an issue with anything except one take out dessert order one time. They didn't cook the cookie quite enough but I told them the next time we went in and I got one free and I enjoyed it dine in that time. They always have the TV's on because I guess it could be considered a sports bar. I have come here on an almost weekly basis until today. This location has lost any waitresses who can remember your order or work technology from this century. Today's visit consisted of our waitress forgetting our appetizer, bringing us the wrong order, not knowing how to use the system, not knowing the menu to the level of needing us to point to the items on the menu to order them, and then charging us for the "free" wing flavoring, which i asked specifically if the first flavor was in the cost. Not only did we have this waitress who did not know what she was doing but her manager backed her every step. He claimed the wrong sauce they used was correct and that we were the ones who were wrong since he "stood by the cook" as he made it. we ordered a sweet mango sauce (which my wife has ordered for the past year and a half) and it was only spicy while slightly bitter, not a chance we were wrong. and then he was very rude acting like he was doing us a huge favor comping the flavorings even though his staff told us it was included. We have spent at least $50 dollars here a visit and always left at least a 20% tip to his wait staff. Due to being treated this way by this manager we will be visiting other establishments. I would suggest you do the same or visit the one in Greenville. this place has really gone down hill with their management practices of "the customer is always wrong" P.S. While we were there we had another table refuse to pay their bill due to the service and leave and another giving us the your "having issues too with your service" talk as our waitress kept disappearing and being oblivious to the needs of any of her tables. Furthermore, they have a large selection of tasty wing flavors. They allow you to split your wing order into different flavors, as well as, between bone in and boneless wings. I'd say average. It's not BW-3 good, but satisfactory. Service is middling. The fries are hit-or-miss, either very good, or reheated. I usually get the ribs, because the wings are only so-so. We go here because it's closer to us than the Greenville BW-3. It's good in a pinch. The last time there, the menu had some additional items, the one we tried was the pretzel bites, and THEY were VERY good. The problem is with inconsistency, both in food and service. It's either above average or below or worse. Not many options in Kinston, but as I said, it will do in a pinch. You can watch the game there, that is the best option of all. read more

I absolutely love East Coast Wings. This was the biggest foodie disappointment in a very long time, maybe since ever. When we were first sat down, we were the only actually table sitting down to eat. There were several people at the bar hanging out. By the time we left 3 other tables had become occupied. The first 30 minutes of this visit we were alone with at least 4 servers, yet went without drink for nearly ten minutes and ran out again by the time another table of 2 arrived. By the end of the meal every server had checked on us at least once which you think would do the trick, but it seemed to be a trick all it's own - can I get you anything else? Napkins would be good.... Two more within 2 minutes - we're just waiting on Napkins. Eh Eff the Napkins, we'll use our pant legs. It's like they saw someone else check on you, so they'd do it for S's & G's. This place may be newer looking, it may be standalone with a nice parking lot, but I will eat crackers and drink water for a month before returning to this festering hell of service. read more

The past 2 times we have been the service has declined. Today, there were no straws (they were out), we received no napkins or silverware until requested, and the bottomless chips took forever to get. Once we got the chips and the plates, we started to hand out the plates to each person at the table. The second plate had gobs of ranch dressing and wings sauce on it!!! It was disgusting and the waitress didn't even apologize!!! She simply took the nasty plates and walked away! Wings were over cooked, menu was misleading and I substituted chili for fries and was charged full price. Atmosphere was dull. The table next to us apparently had complaints as well because when we were being seated the manager was going to their table as well. Only the chili charge was deducted from our bill for our inconvenience. As we left and we were heading to our car, another customer that had just ate there with his family approached us and asked if the bad service was characteristic because he received it as well, and we told him we would likely not be coming back.
