We were particularly in the mood for some good Thai food which made searching the monstrous menu here less daunting. The restaurant itself has a warm, cozy feel; although, it still has remnants of the old Italian paintings hanging so it feels a little off with the latest venue. We started with the assorted tempura which was very good. I'd like a little more zing in the dip tho- maybe some ginger? For entrees my husband chose The King and I, and I have to say this was the standout dish. It was so flavorful with the perfect amount of spice and heat. We both loved it. I chose the drunken beef noodles and this was also very good. This is more of a comfort dish and loses a little luster when eating other spicy foods but as a dish on its own it's very good and I would get it again. So it was funny when I was driving up and realized it has changed restaurants once again and it's now an Asian restaurant. The menu is huge and a bit overwhelming so I decided to focus on their lunch options. I try Thai everywhere I go and it was an absolute treat to order a hot thai meal on such a cold evening to take back to the hotel. The Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp was so lemony, savory and the perfect level of spice. It was absolutely my palette level of spice and heat. So good on a snowy night, must try! The dry pot caught my eye and we ordered a dry fish pot, it is breaded somehow because I noticed this once I got the plate. So if your tummy doesn't do well with gluten maybe opt for another option. It was however absolutely delicious so good and such a great serving. The winner for me was the The Thai Basil with Vegetables and a side of white rice was delicious - they incorporate mushrooms I had never tried before- they are black and a bit curly and rounded. My last meal, 6-months ago, at TOA was a complete disaster from beginning to end, for not only myself but the entire table (Chinese and Thai meals). Eastern Flavor has great food, huge diverse menu, including exotics dishes not normally offered in smaller regions like Huntington. The lunch special is the best deal in town. Short wait times, food is fresh, good service, and they are flexible on changes to menu items. The decor is a bit dated, but its my understanding this is due the demands of the landlord, not the choice of EF management. I recently had their basic sushi presets and was very satisfied, and it was far less costly than TOA. read more

The salmon had a very fishy smell to it(not very fresh at all). The entire order was pretty small also. The entire roll was approximately the size of a C cell battery. The best wonton soup either of us has ever had! The broth is so flavorful. The bowl was so big we ended up sharing. The wontons were so delicious. I wish we had taken a picture of our entrees, phenomenal! He had the Panang Curry hot, just the right amount of heat and again very flavorful. The portion was definitely filling, I can't believe he ate the whole thing! I took home most of my Thai mixed vegetables with chicken. A little spicy but for this wimp it was perfect. A while later, three meals were delivered. Fifteen minutes later, a few more meals were delivered. Over the course of an hour and a half, several more meals came. Our Birthday Girl did not get her food for two hours. My food was not even warm. Steak was overcooked. Service was HORRIBLE. The waiter kept asking us what we ordered. after we finished our meal, we reminded the waiter about our appetizers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! NO STARS AT ALL! read more
