Field Fresh Farmers Market is a Saturday market outside of downtown Frederick. Due to the pandemic,…read morevendors are spread out far from each other and guests regulated so it doesn't get too crowded. My little family went around 11am on a Saturday in October and it wasn't crowded at all. They have a variety of vendors selling produce, meats and other products like soaps. There's a vendor selling baked Amish goods. It's a true farmers market selling items rather than grab-and-go food. Keep that in mind if you expect to get breakfast here. There isn't a stand for that and no coffee truck/vendor. Vendors take credit card.

Browsing this farmers market was a wonderful way to spend my Saturday morning! Conveniently located…read moreon the Frederick Fair Grounds, there is plenty of parking available. There were several different types of tents set up which sold a plethora of items including fruits, vegetables, breads and baked goods, wine and cheeses, jewelry, and even hot sauces. All of the vendors were friendly and inviting! There was also a food truck alongside the vendors which sold snow cones and other treats for a hot day. A cafe sat next to the food truck which served coffee, bagels, and other breakfast foods. I bought a fresh watermelon from one of the tents and was surprised to see that it was a yellow watermelon when I cut into it-- I have never seen this before so I was hesitant. It was surprisingly delicious and juicy! I would visit this farmers market again. I do wish there were more vendors to provide a larger selection of goods.

Absolutely lovely way to spend a late morning/early afternoon with friends and family! I don't go…read moreto farmers markets much, but this one really checked all my boxes of expectations, including a range of vendors, food, gifts, specialty items, coffee, seafood, crafts, and clothing. There were probably 100 vendors and the walking path is intuitive and mostly flat, mostly wheelchair accessible. The only few downsides are: It'd be nice to know ahead of time which vendors are coming when. A vendor we remembered previously wasn't there today. There were no recycle bins. So each to recycle, why not add some? I will suggest it to the organizers. There weren't many shaded places to sit and eat, so it would have been nice to have some popup tents and benches, but I know, I know: who's gonna pay for that? I tried a cupcake from a local baker and a smoothie from a food truck, tasted some rum from a spot out in Frederick, had a $4 chai from an Indian food booth, and ordered some empanadas to go.

Fruits and Veggies, of course that is there. Want to put a smile on someone's face - check out some nice jewelry or pretty flowers. Desserts or Empanadas are worth the try They have special events and sometimes there is live music. Of course there is pie, rum cake and some wine. Take a look around - where most shall be found. Enjoy.

Airy and surrounding towns, fresh, local food & hand made products"- Dropped by here this afternoon, a big plus is Sunday hours in early March. Beautiful farmland- idyllic setting in farm outbuildings. We could see some lambs in an adjacent barn and it appeared there were numerous farm animals about, my thought ran to upcoming spring and summer and how much the children would enjoy this place. The store is small and a bit cramped, but we were hit with wonderful aromas on entering- homemade herbal soaps, freshly baked cookies, pies, cobblers and pasta. A refrigerator held a variety of local cheeses, fresh eggs, farm fresh milk and cream, and a freezer held the good stuff- bacon, farm-raised beef, hot dogs, sausages, and jerky. Oh how I love jerky. Children in the market were negotiating for different flavors of frozen custard that looked great. The lovely lady at the counter explained that the owner sends farm-raised meats to the butcher, and that a family pack type order could be placed. The jerky must have been processed by a place in PA per the label- it was fabulous. Thin and dry and perfectly seasoned, I at least got it home and defrosted before I devoured it. I also picked up some summmer sausage- have not tried it yet, but the smell is tantalizing and I'm looking forward to slicing some with some of the horseradish cheddar, some crackers and something to drizzle the honey over- yes, local honey. Wow. I may just eat it out of the jar, it is that good. Not much local produce- there is none yet, but I am looking forward to stopping back by later in the season, with the children- and the camera!.

This place is going to become a family favorite for years to come!…read more I took the kids last weekend to see the lamb that were only a week old! There were chickens running around too! It was our first time at England Acres and it is absolutely beautiful farmland! We met Judy and Hannah. Hannah took us over to the barn and picked up one of the lamb and let my daughter hold him. My daughter was so excited! We headed back inside and picked up eggs, bacon, lamb, steaks, and chicken. Nothing beats grass farm fresh food that comes from a place that is right down the street and where the animals have been very well taken care of. Don't get me wrong, it's pricey, but it's worth every penny to support a local farm, for the flavor of the food, and for your health!
