We stopped by on Mother's Day to grab a quick bite. The place is well decorated and clean. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who took our order and brought it to our table. If I could rate this place on the ambiance alone I'd give it 20 stars! It is perfectly girly and a very cute coffee cafe. It's perfect to gather with a friend and catch up. My toddler was impressed with all of the balloons hanging from The ceiling so that kept her occupied. Moms--beware there are no high chairs or changing tables. When I went we tried the Twix coffee, the pink drink, the chicken sandwich, fig appetizer, and the burrata salad. The food was good however chicken sandwich was the most delicious however there was like two cubes of chicken on each slice . The staff was nice-- however when we got back up to order more food (yes you order at the cashier) they told us we may not be able to order because the kitchen was closing -- she accommodated us---HOWEVER we wish we were told this the first time we ordered so we knew it was closing. Love this coffee shop! Located right by the Island Park train station, it's a convenient stop to meet up with your friends before you head to the beach. The mini muffins, the grilled cheese sandwich with fig chutney (yum!), the iced latte + london fog were all delicious. The service was pretty fast. The seating area is super cute with tons of couches and flowers everywhere. The only hesitation I had was that the neighborhood didn't feel super safe especially further away from the train station. This is a neat small business tucked away in Island Park. You'd swear that 50% of the cost of the food is from the cool well designed packaging. I should have taken a picture of it. Black boxes for each egg sandwich and black shopping bags. The BEC sandwiches were delicious for Take Out. Next time we'll try their coffee which got rave reviews. My partner lives in Long Beach, therefore, the selection of new wave coffee shops are extremely limited. I am glad to see that there are a few right in island Park, which is just a short drive/walk away. East rock coffee had an excellent cortado but my bacon egg and cheese sandwich had a little to desire for three. I'm not sure if it's made on the spot, but it seems like the sandwiches are premade and just eat it up. I understand that people are in a rush and just want to get their coffee and a quick bite but I'm not sure if I can recommend the food. I will be coming back and will order something else to see if maybe it was just one off. All in all, I recommend East rock coffee. read more

East Rock Coffee ROCKS! I stumbled in here 3 days ago in search for somewhere to work-from-home and to grab some coffee.. and have been here 2x since! The staff are all super welcoming, the food/coffee are all super tasty and super reasonably priced and the decor is oh so darn cute. With pink flowers all around, matching wallpaper and and the most comfy cafe chairs ever, it's so easy to let go of any stress from the week and just enjoy a cup of joe. The aesthetic in this place is so cute! I got a white mocha and my boyfriend got a cortado and an egg sandwich and all were very good! The coffee was better than the food, but the prices were very reasonable (which is rare now-a-days). Will definitely be coming back here! read more

This is an absolutely wonderful little coffee spot. I don't drink coffee but they have a lot of other amazing drinks like hot and cold teas, lemonade, hot chocolate etc. They also have amazing small bites. My favorite is the chicken ciabatta sandwich. Savory and perfect! The chicken was flavourful and moist. It was perfect. Please visit, they are super nice and the space is so beautiful and relaxing. It is very clean and kept clean. I dont think I've seen it untidy. Lol. I didn't get to take a picture of my sandwich or chai latte with coconut milk. I actually went to the Garden city location. Really good but really busy! You pay before you eat. Short staffed, they also need to buy more utensils. They kept running out of utensils and we had to wait for other patrons to return their items before we received a fresh batch. The food was good. The decorations and layout of the place was beautiful. I would return again. However they need to do better regarding wait time...but again it's a coffee shop, so I get it. Can I please give this place more than 5 stars??!!!? East Rock is PERFECT spot for great food and coffee drinks and a fabulous all around vibe. The extremely reasonable prices were noteworthy and the customer service was too good not to mention. I spent a few days in Long Island visiting family and made East Rock my go-to spot. I will absolutely be back! (HIGHLY recommend items from the menu that I ordered 3 days in a row: Almond milk latte and the BEC on ciabatta bread with avocado mash and a side of the seasoned waffle fries!) East Rock also gets bonus points because the 3 days I was posted up there, I couldn't help notice what a diverse crowd of patrons and employees that they had. I ordered the grilled cheese with fig & bacon and a Reese's iced coffee online. The food was solid, but the drink was a huge miss for me. I'm really not trying to be harsh, maybe it was an off day, but this was honestly one of the worst iced coffees I've ever had. The coffee flavor was basically nonexistent, and it tasted more like watered-down coffee with a scoop of peanut butter mixed in rather than a thoughtful flavor. I really love unique coffee drinks, which is why I was excited to try this, but this one didn't come together. Like at all. I appreciate the hard work and creativity that goes into food service, but like I said, this particular item just didn't land for me this time. read more

They come from California and they love the convenience of being close to the LIRR Island Park station. Their friends come from the city or other LI places. True gem! This coffee shop is unlike your ordinary coffee shop, honestly everything I had during my visit was amazing! First off let's start with customer service upon walking in immediately I was greeted, I couldn't help but to notice the display of pastries and soft drinks but to top it off they offer cocktails! Yes cocktails! The cashier / server was so attentive as she help my daughter make her drink selection we ended up choosing a dragonfruit & mango refresher. It was sweet my daughter really enjoyed it. I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted but I ended up stepping out of my comfort zone a bit and going with the East Rock Pink. I did have the option of getting this latte iced or hot and I chose hot. I was hesitant initially when I was told there was mocha and I'm not much of a mocha fan however this drink was really good. The mocha was not over powering at all, the latte did not need any additions it had a great balance of sweetness . It had great flavor and coconut milk with is great since I do not drink milk. A coffee shop with multiple dairy alternative for me is always a win, WIN! I couldn't help but go get a pastry I'm in love with spinach so we got one I believe there's feta cheese inside they warmed it up and it was amazing. We also ordered the behind burger on brioche bread and it is topped with avocado and slaw. DELISH! It is so fresh not filling just right. My girlfriends and I frequent this business a few times a week. It is so beautifully decorated & it's casual and comfortable. Both the food & the coffee are delicious and the customer service is very professional & very friendly . You feel as though you are a valued customer. Typically our order comes out quickly . My favorite coffee shop ever! I recently moved back to the area and was on the search for a new go-to coffee shop. This place exceeded all my expectations! They have so many different flavors and are reasonably priced. Their Twix coffee is unreal. I keep trying different flavors when I go and I don't think I'll ever be able to try them all because there are so many options! Also located directly next to the Island Park train station for convenience for commuters. I've been here several times now and have not been disappointed yet. The staff is always so kind and friendly, and there's also a rewards card where you get your 7th drink free! They also have a brunch and lunch menu that I'm excited to try, on top of fun alcoholic beverages! While I do love the drinks, my favorite part of East Rock is the vibe. It's so pretty inside and they have the cutest outdoor seating area as well. I'm a student so I'm planning on bringing my laptop and doing some studying here, but it's also a great place to catch up with a friend over coffee/drinks. The space is large and comfortable, with choices to sit at traditional tables or really comfortable lounge chairs and tables. Do not order food here. I had an incredibly awful experience ordering one of their veggie burgers where they brought me a plate of slop multiple times and forgot the egg, forgot the avocado, and just generally made a gross combination of things not one but three times. Last time i went, my friend ordered food and after 45 minutes went up to the counter to check on it and they simply "forgot" to make it. I like the atmosphere so much and the coffee is incredibly creative, but they should not be serving food. read more

They hit the spot along with a tasty crostini with Marscapone cheese, sour cherries, some lemon zest and balsamic drizzle.
