At that point, it was clear the cake was also missing the agreed‑upon decorations. I spoke directly with the manager, who then denied ever agreeing to include the Spiderman eyes, despite having reviewed and approved the design earlier. Most concerning, my husband later observed the manager alter the photo on her phone, removing the decorations we had discussed. Additional requested decorations were also not put on the cake. It has now been weeks, and no one has followed up, despite being told the owner would contact me. For the price and the importance of the occasion, this level of disorganization, lack of accountability, and dishonesty is unacceptable.
