I'm leaving this review because our experience at this upscale all inclusive resort was wildly inconsistent. The property is beautiful and the staff is kind, but the level of miscommunication and operational confusion was unlike anything I've experienced at this price point. A few of the major issues: * Serious health risk: The boxed lunches on our first days were unsafe for my diabetic brother and put him at risk of diabetic shock. These were the only meals available due to our scheduled activities. * Two different planners, both incorrect: * A "featured" restaurant they offered was actually closed. * We were booked for an activity that doesn't start for another two weeks. * The sky lift was presented as available but wasn't open. * Hot air balloon miscommunication: * The time we were given was wrong. * The balloon company had no record of our reservation. * We would have missed it entirely if I hadn't reconfirmed repeatedly. * Itinerary changes without notice: * Our schedule was altered multiple times without anyone informing us. * Another guest in the lobby was having the exact same issues. There were many more problems beyond these. They did tell us an employee had sabotaged their system, but it would be impossible for that one person to have caused everything we experienced. Bottom line: We had a good time, and the place itself is beautiful. But when you compare the price to the actual experience, I could not justify the stay.

Every time we thought we were getting our bearings, we'd discover another whole zone tucked behind a ridge. Big Sky really does live up to its name. We kicked things off on what was supposed to be a "warm‑up run," but joke's on us, it was long, challenging, and honestly kind of brutal... in the best possible way. These runs are no joke and some of the longest I've ever ridden. But once the legs woke up, the rest of the day just flowed. Endless terrain, great snow, and barely any crowds. Absolute bliss. Had to pop into The Montage on the far left side of the mountain, and wow, the cocktails are phenomenal. Pricey? Yes. But you're on a mountain this bougie... what did we expect? Totally worth it. And let's talk about that gondola to tram combo up toward Lone Mountain. INSANE. The views are surreal, the exposure is wild, and the access is next‑level. Will I ever attempt the Big Couloir? Absolutely not. Do I love knowing it's there for people braver (and crazier) than me? Absolutely yes. Between the bowls, tree runs, off‑piste pockets, and wide‑open cruisers, there's truly something for everyone and somehow it never feels crowded. Big Sky has officially earned a top spot on my favorite‑resorts list. No question, I will 100% be back.

The tram took you up Lone Peak so far then you transfered to the gondola for the rest of the accent to 11,116 feet. It was well worth the price of the tickets. The staff were very friendly, gave helpful directions and instructions as well as informative. The whole area was clean and well laid out. There were plenty of food options and shopping, places to sit, chill, relax and enjoy the phenomenal views from gound kevel. Free parking. Riding the open air ski lift was super fun

I'd like to note that the chef was very accomodating, letting us try smaller portions of the entire menu, and making adjustments to one of us who was pregnant. The staff was kind and did all they could to make us feel welcome and special. They assisted in organizing daytime activities, and continued to spoil us by surprising us with carmels, and fresh baked cookies and milk, smores at the ready for the firepit, and a thoughtful thank you note to send us on our way. We called…read moreahead to make reservations and found that they had an opening at 5 pm (closed at 7 pm) so we reserved the 2 hour pass for $50/person. They emailed over the run of the mill liability release forms and we filled them out prior. When we arrived, we basically paid, stuck our belongings in a bin, and waited for an instructor to give us a safety lesson. They set us up with harnesses, gloves, and helmets. Then, they taught us how to use the two hook system. WOW. Was super impressed with the engineering on these things. I'm not a climber so this is probably normal but it was very interesting. Then they basically let you go have fun on the obstacles. There is an easy/medium side that takes you to the four(?) ziplines ending in a rappel drop and a medium/hard side that leads to the same zipline/drop. We were a group of four adults: two fit 30 year olds, a not so fit 20 year old, and a 65 year old. We were able to do both sides, including the zipline course twice, within the two hours. The hard obstacles were challenging but with patience they were doable. So very fun!
