Yikes I'm beginning to think these people have no clue on what they're doing when they're creating…read moreplayers to be on the Gold or Silver. It's not fair for the children and parents that work with there children non stop to be placed with kids who do not know how to dribble. I'm not sure who is the one that has been deciding these factors but it's ridiculous how much we pay to be in this league and how much time we actually work with our children to be placed with children that you can tell there parents never work with them. Whoever picks these teams needs to be fired or do better at deciding where players goes bc it's like you don't want kids to actually EXCEL in basketball. If kids do not show up to evaluations you should NOT be placing them in Gold. Period. I don't care if they're tall. If they can't play, or DONT go to evaluations they should automatically be on silver. Sadly, I feel like this place is starting to go down. THEY'RE LITERALLY ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND THATS IT. AND IT SHOWS. GET IT TOGETHER AND DO BETTER EXCEL.

The way they operate their business should be illegal, or maybe it is…read more.. I signed my son up for the fall of 2024 and paid in full 2 months before the start of the upcoming league. There's no documentation on their website about schedule, and there's even a calendar on their website that is completely empty. The last league my son played for was on Sundays so I assumed this was the same. When I went to my son's baseball practice the next day some of the parents had told me Excel plays on Saturday's and to stay away from the league at all costs. I asked for a refund within 48 hours (still 2 months from the start of a league that always sells out) and at first the owner tried to be accommodating but soon after he was rude and refused a refund. When I log in to my Excel account though, it shows he gave a full refund. So on the leagues books it shows that I never paid, when in fact he stole my money and leaned on his "terms and conditions" that aren't valid anyway since he doesn't let people know what days they'll play on. I'm pretty sure this is tax fraud. Support other leagues that are there for the kids and families and not thieves like this one.

It clearly shows I was fully refunded when I never was.

It's actually not as bad as Pittsburgh in some parts. You're fairly safe here but I wouldn't live…read morehere and I'm from Richmond lol. They are very good for their stores they have here ! So many smoke shops, gas stations, grocery stores/ markets, BART etc!! There are many places to hike & explore as well. So many places to get lost in the mountains in the beauty of it all. I love the weather here as well , but hot weather brings hot weather bugs!!!!!!! Ew disgusting and I feel bad for the people that have to get rid of the roaches to live in certain areas around here ! Pools are a must have when you get closer to Brentwood so be prepared if you're planning to move here! I travel up here for some restaurants, they are well worth the drive & wait. The roads definitely aren't the best WHATSOEVER! Probably because they would rather spend money on bart than the road & nobody uses bart much anymore anyways!! Ironic ! I really recommend this city for its stores and hiking areas since there are multiple hills to roam on. Will update pictures when I'm in the area. Thanks for reading hope this helps!

925 in the house!! The lovely Antioch! Right near the cities of Pittsburg and Brentwood!…read more This was the first city I came to when I moved here from Florida and I have to sadly say that Antioch is changing for the worse. Antioch is known as part of Contra Costa County with a zip code of 94509 or 94531 and located in the East Bay. Antioch is known as one of the oldest towns and has been around for a while. Schools in Antioch: Numerous elementary Schools, 4 middle schools and 2 high schools. Parks: Contra Loma Regional Park, Antioch/Oakley Regional Shoreline and Black Diamond Mines Regional Park. Transportation: Bart is really convenient and they also have the Tri Delta Bus lines Antioch currently has only one library at the moment which is the Contra Costa County library near the Antioch High School. Overall, the communities are nice I think its more of the people that they are bringing in that is the problem. Rent is really cheap in this city and with low income housing now you can never know what your in for! I can defintiyy end by saying that the beautiful weather is what really attracts me to this lovely city!

If you're looking for a welcoming recreational soccer experience for your child, this league is not…read moreit. The system is designed to keep a small group of established teams winning year after year, while new families are treated like afterthoughts. Drafting Favors Insiders Returning coaches get to "draft" their rosters, so if your child hasn't played for the same coach for the last 3-6 years, you'll be placed on a team of all new players. First-time families have no chance to join an established team. In other words, if you don't already know someone, your child is automatically on the outside. Practice Fields & Equipment Inequality Practice space depends entirely on which coach you're assigned. Established teams with longtime coaches have access to actual soccer fields and complete equipment. New teams are pushed to cramped public parks with no goals and barely any room to run drills, hardly a fair way to learn the game. Poor Sportsmanship Culture Despite billing itself as a recreational league, the culture is cutthroat. Two teams in the 12U bracket have maintained the same rosters for over three years, have never lost, and have never conceded a goal. Coaches from those teams have openly bragged about "letting everyone score" against beginner squads. Our own coach was told this before a game that ended 30-0. This isn't development or fun; it's humiliation. Neglect of New Players New families quickly realize their kids are not a priority. Our team went without a coach for the first four weeks because the league couldn't be bothered to find one. Five players quit mid-season due to the discouraging environment. There's no focus on teaching fundamentals or instilling a love of soccer, only on protecting the winning streaks of entrenched teams. Bottom Line Our child also participates in club-level sports, and we've witnessed far better sportsmanship, even at Junior Olympic competitions, than in this so-called recreational league. Unless you already have a long-standing connection with a coach, expect poor communication, second-class practice conditions, and a league that values money and wins over children's development or enjoyment. If you want your child to actually learn and love the game, look elsewhere. This league is recreational in name only.
