It would be nice if they updated their website since we are in the digital age. They charge everyone the same price and if your kids are smaller than a certain height, it's maybe a few dollars off. The larger water slides were closed, which was the main reason we wanted to come here but didn't get to experience. Had they mentioned on their website that the slides were not available, we would have planned a different day or brought younger kids instead of the big kids. The cabanas were not held down by anything and it was a windy day, I almost got hit by the cabana flying. Maybe have them closed and when someone does purchase it is when you would open them up for the guest. I don't know if people really reserved any cabanas but a few were being used but closer to closing time so I don't think they really reserved them and people just sat there since it isn't getting checked in my opinion. I don't miss like that bathrooms are available in the front and back of the park. The front bathrooms in the check in area have lockers and showers. There is also a bathing suit spin dryer. It seems for the lockers that if you bring your own pad lock you can store your things if needed. It's great they allow you to bring in food but not in coolers but bagged food take out is ok. There is also food available for purchase in the back. Treats and desserts in the front middle of the water park. Parking is shared with the community building not close to the entrance. So for my disabled friends like me, we had to walk even from a disabled parking spot. The park does provide tables and chairs. The cement picnic tables in front are near the treats vendor store. I don't recall what type of tables are in the back near the food but there were more there and by the kid's splash pad area. I would like to return when the large slides are open but I call next year and find out till then. read more

Advertisement states that only Otter Slide was not working. That is erroneous, only one small slide is functional. The pool with the rope/pontoon area is a real mess with large, ugly rust spots everywhere. Maintenance of the water park is lacking. At $15 per person I would presume the park would be in better condition. Don't waste your time. read more

Tried to have my son do swimming lessons but ended up getting ring worm on his leg. So I called to notify since I didnt want him to infect other kids and was told to just come in to "reschedule". So I go in and am told that they don't do that and asked if I meant to put him in a different class. I respond that I'm just doing what I was told and wasn't sure but if that's what I have to do then I had no issues. Was then told to write down my information and they would figure it out and call me back. One week passes. No call. So I called back asking for the manager and that I had been waiting for a phone call about classes. I had already paid too so was eager to get him in since he wasn't contagious anymore at that point especially since school was about to start. Anyway, was told they were still figuring it out and that the head swim instructor would call me later that day or the next day....its been almost 2 weeks since then and when I call it says the line isn't taking calls. So bummed because I just wanted my son to learn to swim. If I couldn't go to a different class ok then just tell me that and stop saying it's getting figured out. It's a yes or no answer. The site said no refunds so I wasn't even worried about that. The whole thing was handled unprofessionally and even sent an email and still no response. Never again. I visited this place this past week with my partner and it wasn't as we hoped. To start off the tweak at the front desk had a brutal 5 sec mental lag and was passive aggressive with her tone. We asked for Two ticket daily admission and she just stared at us stupidly waiting for us to get the tickets like shes not the one working at the front desk ???? This was only the start of what is very telling of what kind of weird, off-putting, and unprofessional vibe the team dynamic has. This was a super uncomfortable environment to be around. To hear lifeguards proudly curse and yap about personal things across the pool meanwhile theres a 5/7 year old birthday party in the background is ridiculous. i would've let it slide if it was for one lifeguard shift (before they move to a different area to monitor) but the fact that it was multiple times, with multiple different people feels wildly inappropriate and unprofessional. A real a conversation we legit overheard. (And I wouldn't even say overheard because it was again loudly yelled across the pool!) was a male harassing a female coworker Immediately after he got on to his post saying "i got a bone to pick with you" and shes curses "fuck... what?" to which he responds " why did you unfollow me on Instagram?" PLS STOP SO CRINGE I CANNOT... poor girl put into a position where she has to explain herself in front of everyone. WEIRD AF EMPLOYEES LURKING AROUND EVERYWHERE. what kind of standards do staff have ??? why is there such a weird vibe from the lifeguards?? The girls chatting amongst each other seems like mean girl vibes. I'm not even gonna lie... they probably are. mugging says enough. and this is just on vibes alone. The actual place has many attractions closed (2 white water slides lily pads, and a whole section by the main entrance I can't remember.), which was unfortunate, but also unbelievable given how many of lifeguards that were on shift that I noticed that sat down and only moved around different areas to continue to sit down from my four hours of visit was insane ! Please put these people to work and open the other attractions. [It did occur to me that maybe the lifeguards are not the ones capable of opening these attractions and if that's the case, then hire someone who does.] MANAGEMENT PLEASE MANAGE YOUR TEAM!! We spent the full day at the water park with my six and three year old - yes only one slide was open due to repairs but they were kind enough to offer discounted tickets and my kids didn't mind. The staff and lifeguards were friendly, the bathrooms were clean and we felt safe. They did run out of several things at the food court area which was a little inconvenient but manageable. We came today (on a Sunday) and we had super fun! This is my son's first time, and he is 19 months old and i love that they give u lifevest. We went into the baby pool and he loved it, he also got in the pool with the lily pad with me and it wasn't overwhelming for him. One thing i hated was the large deep pool they had was closed not sure why, and the little water play pad for little kids was closed, really looking forward too that. But overall we loved it. RENT A LOUNGE CABANA! We rented ours like 2 weeks in advanced and thanks god we did they only have like 4 available i think they would make more money if they had more available. We've now been here on two occasions since moving to Antioch and both times, we enjoyed ourselves! Super affordable family fun that lasts for hours. Our first time here was to celebrate my youngest son's 1st birthday and the second time was almost one year later! This last time, however, there was a water contamination so the pool my boys played in had to be closed. It was unfortunate because there were only two parts open and the other part, they were too young to play in. They did open the baby pool which was for much younger kids but they still had fun! Even with my two times being here, I have yet to explore the full pool offerings but you know what they say...third time's a charm! My sons are 4 and almost two. My oldest really loves the water slide (red bracelets) and my youngest enjoyed that area as well as the baby pool area. I would recommend getting there early to reserve lawn chairs as they fill up fast and all the good spots get taken! read more

There were a lot of rules (written and unwritten) that were strictly enforced by the whistle bearing staff. The facilities are aging (broken concrete, shaky handrails, slippery concrete) and 2 of the 7 slides were closed, as well as 3 of the 4 pools/ splash areas for young kids. Comparing this to the Dublin Wave, the Antioch park doesn't compare in any category other than the cost of entry. read more

Arrived after an hour drive with two very excited children to be told that only 1 slide was open. With little choice after promising the kids to bring them to the waterpark, I decided to still enter and thought the kids would still have a lot of fun. Unfortunately, much to our disappointment, the water was so cold, that at time of writing, despite the heat, there are less than 10 children in the Boulder Cove pool. Given the multiple families with young children, it's a clear testament to how cold and unbearable the pool is. Spending $45 to come in for the kids to essentially sit in the shade and look at the pool that is too cold and slides that are not open is not our idea of fun. Bonus points: a family brought their own speakers and we had the pleasure of listen to 'What the f*** though' and 'f***ing me' 20+ times. Love expanding the kids' vocabulary but not in that way. I used to tell all my friends to bring their kids to the Antioch Waterpark and how much fun they would have with their children. After today, definitely, will be telling everybody I know to stay clear away. read more

They haven't kept up the maintenance in the shower room. It was the most disgusting showers I've ever seen. The floor had brown water. There were broken showers that you can't even turn it on. My daughter used the far left shower and when we turned it on, brown water was coming out. About the pool, it just felt dirty because, people were swimming with their regular clothes on. Meaning, one person were swimming with their jeans on and another person was swimming with sweats. I guess the rules change you don't need to wear swimming suits in this water parks read more

This place is great for the younger kids. Baby areas and water slides for brave toddlers. Colored bracelets issued by height for slide access. You can bring pretty much your entire beach set up minus the buckets and hard coolers. Shaded spots go quick so a pop up and a chair are clutch. Bag checks but no digging. Get there early and stay all day. The kids love this place and the adults too. read more

Yes it was a really nice park. However, i wished they had all the water slides open. There were only 2 slides that day and unfortunately, the older kids were a little bored. The facilities were clean and the guards were very watchful. We rented 2 cabana's and it had our names on it with lounge chairs and a small table. Great place to take the kids when they're open... it's seasonal and weather permitting, so just make sure you know their hours. It's more fun when you come as a group with family and/or friends. There are plenty of slides and pools to enjoy. Parking isn't an issue as it shares it with the Antioch Community Center and we have never had any safety or security issues while visiting. Very frustrating when you have a car load of kids looking forward to the slides. They do not, but should, post this on their website when slides are not running. BS that they purposely don't. Nice water institution and one of the only things that makes Antioch an okay city to hang at. Unfortunately, there was a power outage and asked everyone to leave. That's fine, but I expect the business to find common-ground in the situation by giving everyone at least a partial refund. Additionally, the staff and lifeguards need to at least try to seem like they care. Most of them just give you a dirty look and give you an attitude just for a question. If they don't "have access" to the register, then I guess my money won't be accessible to them anymore. read more

Great place for a family day. More fun for children of course as the rides are not that long nor thrilling like some other waterparks , however for those that live in the east bay and don't want to travel far then take your kid's here. You'll have a great time. No food allowed inside and the food they have available go ahead and skip. We had a nice picnic outside of the waterpark on one of their picnic tables. I guess if you go after 4pm the tickets are only $5 and a couple hours should be more than enough. I wasn't aware of this until we got there and well did not want to make the kid's wait an hour trying to save a couple bucks. Go go and take lot's of photos. A waterproof camera if you have one as we took some great underwater photos and videos at the park. read more

This review is for swimming lessons: I enrolled my kids for private swimming lessons. I was excited that lessons were from Monday -Thursday 30 min each day. However, they advanced very little. Coaches were inconsistent, one day would be one girl, another day a different t coach and so on... every coach didn't knew what progress my child had made so they would start over testing their knowledge and at the end of the day they didn't learned anything new. I have to mention that I took my kids elsewhere for swimming lessons that was only 25 min a week and their progress was impressive! And they only deal with one (same) instructor that knew where there were at in their progress. Also, in this Antioch aquatic center water is always super cold!! They never turned on the heat in the water, so my 4yo was always freezing . It was a meh experience for us... read more

Love coming to this waterpark on hot summer days! It's a really great space for the family, from kids to adults. This place is pretty packed on the weekends, so get there early to get a chair and a spot in the shade. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to find space and lay out. We usually bring food (no glass containers) and can spend the day enjoying the water and fun in the sun. There are several different pools, so it is a little something for everyone. The baby pool is a nice size, and for the most part is relatively clean (it just experiences high bath loads sometimes when the other pools close for a quick cleaning or issue). There is also a lap pool (it's open and there's typically only one lane for laps only, when there's no swim classes or lifeguard training). Then there's the main swim pool that three slides connect to, and another one for tadpole walks. And new for 2018: there's a fun sprinkler station also set up near the concession stands yes, they sell food but it's expensive and nothing of nutritional content...but hey, if you're in the mood for chicken fingers and fries, they're on point here!) For those who can't swim (children and adults alike), life vests are available. There's also a couple cabanas a available for rent as well, in addition to grills right outside the waterpark off the parking lot. Don't forget that there's half off the rate when you come after a certain hour, and also a military discount available with your military ID card. Only down issue is that the staff appear to be very young, and sometimes the bathrooms get very dirty. But staff appear to be pretty proactive with getting things clean. read more

This is a pretty solid, affordable place for family summer fun. General admission on weekends is $16/per person and children under 30 inches are free. Half price after 4 pm. There was a discrepancy between the front desk ticket staff and the wristband staff which was annoying. One of the young ladies ended up letting us bring my 3 year old niece for free even though she was much taller than 30 inches because the front desk staff messed up and said she was initially free. I would highly suggest they find a better way to search bags. There's literally only 2 people doing it and the line becomes so long especially in the afternoon (another reason to get there early). Anyway, the place is really clean. The lifeguards seem to be very attentive and informed and even seem to genuinely enjoy watching the children have fun instead of sitting stone faced like most other lifeguards. Get there early to grab a shady spot. The park does provide a picnic area with a roof as well as a couple other spots with umbrellas. Chairs are available, but again, first come first serve. Life vests are complimentary. Slides are only for certain children of certain heights. The wristband color will tell I believe which slide your child can get on. There are multiple pools with varying depths for all ages from baby to adult. A snack bar is available for purchase, but this park allows you to bring in your own food and drinks (no alcohol), speakers, soft and hard coolers, tents and canopies. I even saw one guy bring a hammock! So all in all, this place is affordable and flexible for a fun family summer outing! read more

"You wanna see me do a flip underwater?!" says a totally random and endlessly adorable 7-year-old with the tips of her hair dyed pink (though the dye was in no way leaking into the pool, you'll be glad to know. Chic wasn't even the word. Huntee had it going on.) "Heck yeah I do!" I scream back, possibly more enthused than she, even--and secretly thinking but knowing I am too damn old to say aloud: "And afterward, you wanna watch me go down Humphrey's Slide?!" The brief exchange above was just one of a series of incidents, interactions and experiences during yesterday's trip to this fabulous little gem in Antioch that reminded me and my group of ladies we are never too old for the exhilarating rush of a water park and all the fun that comes with it--even in your mid-20's and mid-30's (I'm not telling who belongs to what age group. A lady never does.) We arrived here around 3:56 P.M. and were elated to find that in just four minutes the price bumped down from $14 buckaroonees to a mere $6. While we took a four-minute seat and waited for the $8 price drop, we also took in the scenery around us: picnic tables on a deck just behind the ticket line, a recreation room available for rent (ahem, shout out to Julie & Steve's 25th Anniversary/Retirement Party. I see you boo, keep living your dreams!) and a plethora of families enjoying a bright, bright sunshine-y day and all the fabulousness that comes with it. After what seemed like eons (I told you, this place turned all three of us into 4-year-olds), the clock struck four and we weaved our way into line and made our way into the water park. After a brief stop at the lockers, we located a few lounge chairs near the "Sport Pool" (identifiable by those lily pads that adults always underestimate and then humiliate themselves on. Simple, simple fools! My best friend, agile, quick and stubborn, made her way across by bouncing on the back of her heels and the strength of her pride. Alas, I was not so lucky.) After getting over the shock of the water, we made our rounds to the slides of our choosing: - Canyon Cooler: SO FUN! No tube required, just bounce on in and take that ride. My only complaint is that you can definitely feel those little seams that bind each piece of the slide to the next piece. I have a tiny scratch. Oh well, you live some you war-wound some. - Humphrey's Slide: Short, sweet, and sassy. Our favorite for the non-thrill seeking moments to just take a quick dip. Leads into a relatively smaller pool with little water spigot fountains. Almost guarantees bikini malfunction so please adjust underwater so as not to emerge half naked. I was also impressed by the amount of picnic space and grassy knolls, complete with gazebos, cabanas, plenty of lounge chairs and picnic tables to set up your own food. I will definitely be back with the whole crew to enjoy a sun-soaked day at the slides! read more

This water park allows you to bring your outside food (except glass containers, knifes, alcohol and few other exceptions therefore have your food pre-cut before entering the park). Who doesn't love to bring their own picnic/homestyled food when you are out having fun. While i was visiting the park, I saw other families bring ice chests, tents, portable chairs and even their own Bluetooth speakers! How awesome! There's plenty of parking space. Only Con; The restrooms were kind of messy the day I was at the park and there was no soap on the soap dispenser. Anyways, I definitely recommend you to visit Antioch Water Park. read more

Our visit here with my two sons was very unpleasant. My sons had to go through things that they should never have to go through such as grouping, racism and harassment. For example two young boys were having fun rough housing normal things that boys do. So the life guard started yelling at them which is already not ok but eventually they kicked them out of the pool . After all that happened they grouped my two sons with them because they were all boys of color and my two sons got kicked out the pool. Another time some boy was cursing and saying such things I would hate for my sons to hear and then the boy stole my sons float toy and the life guard saw it and said nothing about it. This place is very convenient. Perfect for small children. Plenty of life guards alert and taking their job serious. Multiple pool areas and slides based on age groups. You can bring your tents, canopy's, folding tables or chairs you could also bring food. Just nothing in glass or alcohol, they check baggage upon entry. Make sure u get their early to get a good spot. Bathrooms do tend to get dirty. Their is a concession stand but prices were kinda high. This is more of a 3 1/2 star place, though my mild frustrations stem from a single bad experience. My wife and I signed our 8 month old baby up for 30 minute swim lessons for 8 Saturday's in a row. Fun times, was looking forward to it! We got up early for our first lesson. Got the baby all dressed up, looking adorable. Wife and I packed our things, got in the car, and headed out. When we arrived, we were met with a sign on the door saying swim class had been cancelled due to a construction job, and that class would restart in two weeks. Another family was there, seeing the same thing. No phone call. No e-mail. Nothing. Nothing to let us know in advance that class was cancelled. And it's not like there was 100 families to call. When class started, there was only three families. Not exactly a herculean effort to call a few families so they don't waste their time getting ready for a cancelled event. And it's not like this construction job sprung up over night. There's no way they didn't have this job planned for at LEAST a week. No excuse not to let us know ahead of time about the cancellation. Management ended up cutting the class to 6 sessions instead of 8, and refunded us the 2 cancelled sessions. The classes themselves were just fine, baby had a blast playing in the pool, but first impressions are everything, and the Antioch Waterpark made a very bad first impression. read more

I went there twice and the 2nd time the slides weren't working for the little kids. Only the big slides were up and running. I have a 3 year old who can only go down those specific slides. There weren't any type of accommodations for the kiddos that didn't have much to play with (no alternate slide set aside for the young ones). But I give it stars because my daughter had fun either way. Food was good. Pricing isn't that bad. but she did ask about going down the bigger slides that she wasn't allowed on. We arrive only to find out that the two large slides are closed, the sports pool with lily pads are closed, and the large lap pool is closed. What's open? If you have a child that is 42 inches EXACTLY or under don't waste your money. My daughter was right at the line between red and yellow and they categorized her as a red wristband. So we paid $42 so my daughter could go down ONE slide. That's it. It was upsetting that it wasn't made clear until after we had paid. The tickets for a red wristband should be half the price. Or they shouldnt be charging parents to go in too. I could have cared less about the slides I could go on, we were there so she could have fun. They need to be measuring at the door if they are going to be so unreasonable. You got my money today and that was the last time. I've been to this water park a few times this year and all experiences have been good. The staff members (lifeguards especially) are friendly, informative, and alert. They provide life jackets free of charge, the bathrooms and lockers are clean, you can bring food and drinks from home, and there are plenty of water activities to keep kids, I'd say ages 1-13, occupied. They offer season passes, and give a discount if purchased prior to opening day, and sell general admission tickets daily. (pricing follows) We will definitely visit again! I recently visited the Antioch water park on Saturday July 30th. I had the pleasure of meeting Tyler. He was so friendly, helpful and just a bunch of positive energy. I was there for Charlie 4th birthday party and had a group of kids with me. Tyler was so patient and understanding.
