Food is not good so go across the street to Dragon Express behind Starbucks, they have much better tasting food

I ordered wonton soup and chicken chow mein. Soup was ehh. Noting great. I didn't even get the chow mein. The restaurant got my order wrong. I got some white chicken that looked undercooked with some random lettuce and sauce. I didn't even wanna try that. I'm so disappointed because I read prior reviews and it looked good enough to try. Beef and Broccoli was so amazing. Perfect service. The dining is quiet but enjoyable.

This little gem is 1/4 mile outside the Fort Lee Temple gate. They deliver to any building on Fort Lee and are constantly at the lodging buildings and barracks. The minimum order required for delivery is $10. For orders of $40 and above, you receive a free bag full of Chinese donuts (aka fried sugared biscuits, but delicious!!!). It's basic Chinese fast food, but a "go to" establishment on a late or busy night. Delivery is fast and oddly enough they offer Smoothies too. It's A-OK! read more

This place has saved me many nights where I didn't want to cook! Also since it is located by foodlion I can order my food, get my groceries and pick up my order on my way out all in one stop! So happy that they now have a website to order online. My favorite dish from here is the BBQ spare ribs and hubby's is their general tso's chicken. read more

We used to order delivery from here all the time to our address with no issue. Apparently, their new web software trumps common knowledge. The software informed us that we were out of their delivery area. When we called we were told that, "they have never heard of our address so, we don't deliver there." We are 4.3 miles away. So, we then chose to order from Dragon Express which is right across the street from Eastern. The food arrived quickly without any issues. It seems that Eastern's new software and their waitstaff have some issues to sort out. read more

Good solid Chinese food, and fairly vegetarian friendly. One of our favorites is General Tso's tofu - it's something you can probably order off-menu elsewhere, but here it's on the menu. I've never had any issues with my call-in orders, and we've eaten in a couple of times, too. Not big on ambiance, but the service was great and the dining room was pleasant and clean. read more

Best place in the tri-cities for Chinese takeout. While you can dine inside i am always grabbing for the office. Food has flavor and is not overcooked. When i ask for extra a definitely get that! General Tso's chicken is the beast i have found in the tri city area. The young lady at the counter is always pleasant and remembers you. Great customer service! read more

I really enjoyed my dinner! I didn't expect much since they don't have many reviews but they took my order, finished it before the time they quoted, and were so nice when they greeted me. I got egg drop wonton mix soup, with tons of wontons, small chicken and pork lo-mein with tons of meat, and steamed dumplings. The dumplings had great flavor and the sauce was amazing. The wontons had a different flavor in the meat than the dumplings which I was impressed with since most places use the same meat for both. I was very impressed with my meal from this little take-out restaurant near Food Lion and the assisted living facility, Brighter Living. My husband and I shared the Boneless Chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. The food was plentiful and delicious. The rice was fluffy, and the veggies in the Boneless Chicken were fresh and tasty. It is very difficult to find this yummy Cantonese dish with battered chicken, and I was very pleased with it from this establishment. It wasn't the thick tempura batter I am accustomed to, but the chicken was thin, crispy and very tasty with the brown sauce and fresh vegetables (carrots, celery, water chestnuts, mushrooms, sugar snaps, baby corn, and broccoli.) My husband and I split the dish, and there were leftovers! I look forward to reordering from Eastern. read more

Give it a chance. I ordered the "healthy stuff" steamed chicken and broccoli and steamed beef and mixed veggies. It's was better than expected. Rice was good. From reading the other reviews I believe they have changed there rice ways and came out with the rice they serve now. It was perfect white rice. I did get a cheesecake just cuz I like ordered weird sheet on menus sometimes and that was very good as well. Crust was ok though. Overall give it a chance, you get that typical filling Chinese food. read more

We always order the online delivery and we are always pleased with both the taste and the speed. They have some very healthy options and I'm even able to eat from Eastern during my bodybuilding diet. I have total confidence in their food. Give them a shot! read more

The food is really good. I would give it a 5 star but I will not ONLY because the lady at the cashier handles money and then went to go make the food. Now this isn't bad but the big problem is she never washed her hands. Oh, and then she also went to go answer the phone on top of everything else. Ordered lunch for the office from here, never again. I should have known it was not going to be good by the way the lady taking the order seemed annoyed that I was even calling. Once the order arrived the delivery person was nice, however, he looked like he had been working outside, as his pants were very dirty looking and stained. Once we opened the bag several of the soups were crushed under the weight of the lunch and spilled soup all over the lunches, the egg rolls were now soggy and inedible. The food was less then to be desired, the chicken was dry and the sauces were overly sweet to mask that it wasn't flavorful at all. None of the spicy dishes had any heat, very bland again overly sweet. Really disappointed with the service and food. Seems like the place has lost its compassion for food and customer service. read more

My family and I have been eating here for the last six months or so. The food is not the best Chinese food I've ever had but it's pretty good. The delivery service is good as well. The only thing I don't like is the dry customer service we receive from the young lady that works behind the register. She never smiles and speaks very low and is not welcoming at all. She could be shy but that rubs me the wrong way at times. The reason we will NEVER eat from there again is, my whole family got food poisoning last night! I mean vomiting and having severe stomach cramps all night. The only reason I didn't get it is because I didn't eat from there. We trashed the leftovers of course. Ordered from this place twice, each time the experience was even more painful. Ordered from them two days ago, when the driver delivered the food, the bag was all wet. I opened the bag and found one quart of soup turned over, the lid was partially off and it had leaked all over the bag. The noodles and egg roll were soggy. The entree's were like warm. I called the restaurant and the lady that runs the place answered the phone, she was nasty and quick with me and kept making excuses. Our next order will be with someone else. The service was good. Not that big of a fan of there rice. But the chicken was great. Had both bourbon and sesame seed chicken. And they we're both good. The bourbon chicken did tasted a little different. But I still liked it. But I would not really great rice with it. Maybe the white rice or lo mein would be better. The only thing I ordered were two quarts of Hot and sour soup. It was a Thursday night and they were very busy. Still they had my order up quickly. I'm very picky about my soup. A restaurant that puts together a good soup will have me as a customer for as long as they keep up the quality. If you've had good hot and sour you know they don't have a lot of of any one thing in it. You will find some spring onion, mushrooms, a few strips of pork and a few other things. When you've had a great soup you know that they don't short cut you any of the items listed and they use Shitake mushrooms. Most importantly of the soup is not sweet.
