My main go to items are their hot & sour soup, chicken & broccoli, shrimp egg foo young - but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We have ordered from this restaurant several times with no issue. Last night my husband and I ordered Hunan shrimp and Kung Pao shrimp. My husband picked it up on his way home from work which is about 25 minutes from our house. We sat down to eat and took one bite of the shrimp and immediately knew it was off! We called the restaurant to let them know so others would not receive bad shrimp. The owner was very dismissive and refused to give us a refund. Do not order from here! read more

I don't know what happened here but this use to be the best Chinese around - hands down. Stopped in a few days ago and got some of our favs. YUCK!! The wonton soup had no flavor at all! Theirs was the best. Got the sweet & sour chicken, they've always done it with the sauce separate from the chicken. The sauce was still good however the chicken was like it had been cooked yesterday. It was hard it places like it had been left out to get stale. The vegetable fried rice was nothing but jasmine rice with a few vegetables thrown in - horrible!! I called in my order of the Shrimp fried rice and egg roll and had a few questions about the ingredients and they were very pleasant and patient with me. Nice basic Local Chinese takeout spot. Super nice family-run business, all of your typical Chinese/American dishes. Like many of these places in the area, they use too much sugar in many of the sauces, but I guess that is what customers want. On a recent trip the shrimp fried rice only had some small shrimp and bits of onion, no other veggies. The hot & spicy beef was very, very sweet and mostly onions. Ordered here for the first time tonight and I can tell you this is our new go-to chinese restaurant! The staff was very friendly and the food was ready within 15-20 minutes. We ordered wonton soup, steamed pork dumplings, vegetable mei fun, and the chicken & broccoli. The wonton soup had great flavor and the wonton's were delicious!! The dumplings are homemade and so yummy. Both, the mei fun and chicken & broccoli, had great flavor. Nothing was overly oily and reasonable prices. read more

This is my go-to place when we go out. The service is great (not to over the top) but always humble and nice. They know what I want every time I call and always throw in something extra. I eat here at least once every two weeks. My go-to is house special lo mein, chicken broccoli with fried rice, crab rangoons, and fried chicken wings. The wings are to die for. I've been getting only Shrimp with veggies (forgot what they call it but something like shrimp delight) but it's oh so delish! I usually get similar dish every time I have Chinese food so I have a lot to compare to. This one is the clear winner! It has a ton of shrimp (don't you hate it when you get 3 shrimp in the entire 'shrimp' plate??) and a tasty crunchy veggies. It's a large dish so it always gives me enough for a second meal. My hubby gets his fave dish, orange chicken and he inhales it so it's gotta be good ;) Prices are very reasonable at about $6-10 per dish. The restaurant is not a dine in type. They have tables & chairs but it's like a fast food joint... Not recommended for a dining experience. This place is one of my favorite Friday dinner choices ;D read more

Accidentally Vegan Friendly Little place conveniently near some hotels. The food quality is good-the vegetables cooked to perfection and fresh. I had the mixed vegetables & tofu (#52) and asked for extra spicy, it was ok.. This little family owned business is not fancy but has a very polite staff. Don't come here for atmosphere-basic surroundings, clearly mostly a take out but does have limited seating. Glad we stopped for lunch. read more

This is my family's go to for takeout Chinese food! They never disappoint! Their Shrimp and Broccoli is amazing and packed full of large shrimp. Their Egg Foo Young has the absolute best sauce/gravy around. My husband is a huge fan of their Wonton Soup and Roast Pork Egg Rolls. My children enjoy the Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken and General Tso's Chicken! We feel lucky that we live so close because I know people who drive past several other places to pickup food from China Kitchen. Also, you can't beat the price of $6 for the entree, rice, and a drink or egg roll. It was ready within ten minutes and everything seemed freshly made. This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant since moving to Chester over 15 years ago. The staff offer friendly and fast service, and even take the time to get to know the local regulars. Huge menu of all the typical Americanized Chinese favorites: lo mein, fried rice, mei fun, seafood delight, wonton soup, dumplings, etc. But unlike a lot of takeout places, none of the dishes here need extra salt or soy sauce because it's all seasoned so well. And if you need more, there's always plenty of extra condiments at the front counter. :D Chen's and Peking are some of their major competitors partially because they've got bigger chains and visibility. But China Kitchen definitely deserves a try if you haven't checked it out already. There's a reason they've been in business for so long. read more

Have eaten here countless times and today my brother ordered his food and received chicken that was uncooked. This man never returns food, so that should tell you how bad it was. He only took one bite and went to take it back and either get a new order for free or full refund (meal was 10$ and it was clear he only took one bite) and was told that they wouldn't issue a refund at all and that he would have to pay for the new order as well if he wanted it. I've sent many people here to order food so imagine my surprise hearing this considering my brother was one of the people I referred, so I go up there since they clearly know my face and the lady confirms what she told my brother to me refusing to issue a refund or new meal so since they feel a 10$ meal is worth losing business over I wanted to make sure all my friends know to STOP supporting this business since they clearly don't care about the health of their customers.
