This is your average call in and carry-out restaurant. They do have maybe 4 tables inside, but truly nothing fancy and I'm okay with that. It's a great lunch spot if you work in Hopewell or Fort Lee, as it's just outside of the gate. They stay busy with people calling and coming in to pickup, but are very quick most times with only a 10-15 min wait for an order. The prices can't be beat, and they have some lunch combos that come with a canned soda for around $11. I enjoy the lomein, which on the lunch combo also comes with fried rice (kind of rare), and the Mongolian beef. I have been coming here to get my food for at least 3 years now. Management is always friendly and pleasant. The place is always neat n clean. We ordered a family meal it came with 2 soups, 2 entree, 2 rice containers and 2 egg rolls, we added chicken Lo mein. The portions were big, the containers they came in were the plastic food prep containers which is awesome, the egg rolls weren't soggy with oil, the Lo mein was really really good the chicken in it was kind of weird but didn't bother me too much. Neatly package and didn't have any food or sauces leaking all over the place like I sometimes get from other restaurants. I order the Spicy Chicken with rice, which comes with an egg roll. I also had an order of the Cream Cheese Wontons; fresh, hot, and delicious. I'm not going to lie....I ate all of this by myself. The fried rice that came with the spicy chicken surprisingly has much more flavor than other Chinese restaurants, and the spicy chicken went well with it. Reasonable prices and large portions. I'd give this place 4 stars but the environment and ambience makes it a 3. Listen, I haven't issues with my food and I'm very satisfied whenever I order here. Something's are good and some I wouldn't order again but I would try a few things off their menu which I have like, the general tso chicken which is good. You can do the combo and get pork fired rice and an egg roll which is what I normally do. Then I've also tried their kung pao chicken which is much like panda express but tastes better tbh. Their crab ragoons are additive! ive also tried their egg wonton drop soup its nice to have in the winter but i think bamboo garden does it way better. Their dragon and Phoenix is good but my other half is a bit sensitive to shrimp and thew up... I am almost certain it could have either been the shrimp or broccoli. However I very much enjoyed my plate... I've tired their roast pork lo mein it's a bit dry and could use a bit more sauce.. their bourbon chicken is very sweet for my taste buds but I had left overs as they definitely put a lot of chicken.. All in all for the price you get your moneys worth of food but again it's a bit of a hit or miss. So try different things off their menu as I did and find what you'll enjoy. Finally decided to try out Dragon express after hearing several friends order from there. I got the crab Rangoon, boneless ribs, beef lo mein, and sweet and sour pork. Crab Rangoon was good crispy outside with a sweet and savory cheese filled center. The dumpling were really good I couldn't tell if they were homemade or not but they were delicious and the dipping sauce on the side was perfect! Beef lo mein was also a hit, the noodles tasted of Smokey garlic and soy sauce I can't explain it but it was like elevated hibachi noodles with all the other ingredients of a mein. The boneless ribs were cut small and were a little tasteless, they were served in this sauce which at first I thought was oil but it wasn't. it helped give a little more flavor but still it was lacking flavor. Finally the sweet and sour pork was eh the pork seemed over cooked and it wasn't very crispy. Overall I enjoyed what I got and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

First off what makes this place a 4 star is the quality of food. It's actually really good and all the guests I've taken here agreed. Their menu is very broad and their lunch menu combo is amazing with their potion size being perfect. Secondly the price. For the quality of food and the portion they serve, the price is cheap. For example their lunch combo is a full plate of meat and rice with a can drink for under $5. I thought that was an amazing deal. Anyways, I come here once in a while for a quick meal and I really love it. I definitely recommend people to give this place a try.
