This was a take out. The food was good. However, no sauces were offered for the take-out. When I asked her for sweet and sour sauce she said 50 cents. Nope. Not doing that. That may be a new rule in today's world, but that was the first time I have ever been asked to pay for sweet and sour sauce in a Chinese restaurant. We order the exact same thing everytime!! They have a new girl at the counter and she repeated my order to me on the phone. Pick it up, get home and its pork fried rice instead of pork loin mein.. well I call and the girl said ok bring it back we will replace it.. drive back up there for me to come in and tell them I just called.. they then told me they couldn't replace it and I would have to purchase more!! I was livid! I asked for owner or manager and of course they werent there. They were so smug and rude!! After picking up and bringing back to my hotel, I tasted the fried rice, and it was horrible. I'm not a picky eater at all, and eat just about everything, but it tasted like it was 3 days old. I ended up throwing all of the fried rice away. However, the beef and broccoli/egg drop soup is phenomenal. Well since we've been in Louisiana we've tried a few Chinese restaurant and we've been quite disappointed. Until we found eastern Chinese restaurant. But the last few times we ate here, well let me tell you the food is fresh and good I might say. But, the service is crappy the women man what ever it is. It's a family-run business. Anytime you walk in, you'll find the two young sons diligently working the checkout counter while the adorable little daughter runs around, doing homework or watching a video on an iPad and generally making you smile. They're also quick. You call ahead and they'll have that entree whipped up for you in 15 minutes. It's about $8 or so an entree, but you get your money's worth! I like the food, especially the egg drop soup which is addictive. However, I only gave four stars because when I ordered online, I ordered one quart, Was charged for same, but received one pint. The next time I was there, I told them about the error, and the young boy just stared at me instead of making it right by offering me another pint.
