Eastern Numismatics is the store is the store to go on Long Island for purchasing or selling one-of-a-kind estate jewelry, diamonds, gold and silver. I have been a customer for years now and always feel comfortable coming here. I have always felt that they tell it as it is and are fair and honest with me. They are very conveniently located in Garden City, Long Island. Fortunately for me they are just a 10 minute drive from my house. They have a convenient parking lot in the back of the store, it makes it easy. The store is big and bright and very welcoming to look around. The most important thing here is their personal service which is excellent. Eastern Numismatics has experts in a lot of collectibles -- diamonds, coins, comics, sports cards, militaria, sterling flatware. They also have an amazing collection of Lionel Trains if that's your thing. My biggest takeaway is that I trust the folks here and I only do business with those I know and trust. I sold an item for way less than i later found out I should have received they offered me cash then they had no cash on hand and wanted to write a check. I didn't need the money so I re-negged. all of a sudden they found cash. do your homework before going there. I went in to try and sell some unused gold and diamond jewelry. From the moment I walked in the door the sales people were unfriendly. No one said hello. Once I got a salesperson to help me he didn't introduce himself or say hello to me or my husband. They really seemed like they couldn't care less about dealing with us. I just received my first order directly from Eastern Numismatics. I've bought some other coins from them before through eBay. I've talked to them before on the phone about some other coin needs, but hadn't 'pulled the trigger' on anything, until now. While I am working on an all PCGS slabbed 20th Century Set, I'm also working on a set of Walking Libertys, all collected from just junk silver. My book is almost full and now I'm upgrading as I can as I come across better coins. I get most of my coins by going to coin shows and going through bags of Walkers. At almost every show I'm able to find either something to fill a hole or upgrade. Anyway, after talking to Frank he told me that they had just got in a bunch of Walkers that he could offer me at a good price AND he'd throw in a new 1oz bullion Walker. The deal was pretty good even without the 1oz Walker, so I went for it. What I got was pretty much exactly what Frank said I'd be getting. Mostly 40s in Fine or better grades. Some 30's also. Nothing in the teens or 20s. Of course I was hoping for a rare find, but I might be able to upgrade one or two of my other coins in the set. Either way I have another roll of Walkers to stash away for when the Zombie Apocalypse comes. So overall - not a bad deal as far as I'm concerned. read more

Honestly, never come. My $90 graded Morgan by NGC was only valued at $50. Everything was overpriced and unreasonable. I also used them to send out a coin. They later delayed it by forgetting to call me about it. Avoid at all costs! read more

EVERONE, especially NEWBIES buying SILVER or GOLD, watch out for sales guy, Ed C, and this firm overall. I had never bought silver before and he took advantage of the situation yet the Management staff would not help me either. He sold me the VG (Very Good) quality coins and upon arrival, none were, even though I paid premium prices. Because they had been shipped, I had no recourse as they could say, I traded them for a cheaper quality coin. If your coins arrive in a bag vs. cylinders it is JUNK silver. Only buy JUNK Silver if you are a newbie until you learn value (buy a coin book) and do your research BEFORE buying. ONLY BUY LOCAL and take a person with you, like a Numismatic expert, so they can protect you from scammers like these guys. Take a bag of junk silver and cull them--look at each coin and look it up in the book--you may also find something valuable yet more importantly, you will learn A LOT!) Also, sell your coins to your friends at the daily Spot or market price, and avoid the commission fees of any coin shop. You can go into these shops to find the weight and value, if needed, and then walk away. read more

DO NOT BUY from this company or its subsidiary, USCOINS.Com (also on Ebay), especially Ed C! He is a smooth sales person! You better know the price of coins before you talk to them or they will rip you off. He/They will make the sale, but no customer service afterwards if you want to sell back--won't return calls...have to keep calling back, even the buyer! It's a nightmare! Open every roll you buy IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT. The roll will be most likely be filled with junk with just a few good coins (go to a few local coin dealers to evaluate)--not the high quality grade you thought you bought with its' high price! When our inflation takes off, you want bullion, no collector coins--it's the melt value that matters! You better know the price per coin, spot, to know their markup. Use the Rule of 3--make a spreadsheet with the questions you want answered, then call and record prices from at least 2 other vendors to protect yourself.
